Sonia Kashuk has some of the better quality shadows as far as drugstore brands go. You have to pile it on to get the color you see in the package, but once its on it lasts all day and doesn't crease. Too bad the color selection is lacking. All this brand offers is a series of pale neutrals that all kind of look alike. The blandness is especially evident in this season of bright colors. Still, I was pleased to find Razzle Dazzle, which offers a true gold and a softer gold. I'd been searching for a good gold shadow and was stoked to have found two at a great price.

I might as well have put water on my face for all the effect this toner had. I like that it contains a host of soothing ingredients, but this toner was too mild, even for my dry, sensitive skin. Burt's Bee's has a rose water and glycerine toner that is similar to this, but leaves my skin feeling truly refreshed and clean. The good news is this toner didn't have any negative effects.

This is one of only a few products that I have used faithfully for years. It removes all of the unwanted hair with one stroke and doesn't nick my ankles and knees. Don't be fooled by the so called moisturizing strip, you'll need to follow each shave with lotion. The replacement heads are expensive, but you can save by getting them in bulk at Costco.

This product didn't do a particularly job of smoothing the rough areas on my feet, but I'm willing to concede that alternating between killer shoes and padding around barefoot has left me with some pretty gnarly callouses. What really bothered me about this file was that the exfoliating side made my feet itch like crazy. I slathered various lotions on them, plunged them into cool water, and then applied more lotion. May I suggest testing this product on your hand or arm before taking it home?

I bought this in purple and was disappointed that rather than a rich plum, it was a silvery lavender. Aside from the poor pigmentation, the formula is okay, but the brush only allows you to paint on a very thick line, and it was an awkward size/shape. I'm good at applying liquid liner, and I struggled with this one. What annoys me the most about this liner is Almay's pitch that you can use these liners to to play up your eye color because, um, you can do that with ANY brand or type of eye liner.

It's too bad the results of this product last less than an hour, because it works well. It smells good, doesn't taste weird, and goes on shiny and clear so it won't interfere with your lip color. It tingles a tiny bit and lips immediatly puff up (but the difference is subtle). When I press my lips together, I can feel how plump they are!

My boyfriend has huge pores that are always plugged. I'm fascinated by all the gunk these strips pull out of his nose. They're so effective on him that leave big empty "holes" behind. On the other hand, I have tiny blackheads all over my nose, and these strips only pull two or three out, if any. Plus it hurts, leaves my nose cherry red, and makes my skin flake. It also leaves behind a residue that has to be scraped off.

I know that waxing hurts, but this stuff takes pain to a whole new level. I'd put it on, and then be afraid to pull it off because I remembered how much it hurt the last time. I used this wax on my brows and lip, and I got good results on my brow, but not my lip. My lip would be red for three days after a wax, and I would develop at least one painful deep-skin zit--and I never get pimples. Ever.

This did an okay job of straightening my hair, but it kinda fried it. (It was my first "professional" flat iron, so I didn't really know what to expect.) I liked that it heated up quickly and was easy to wield. But it broke after only a few months of use, and I couldn't get a replacement. The experience has soured me on the whole brand.

My roommate gave this to me with no explanation and I was stoked because BioSilk is both expensive and lauded. In fact, I psyched myself into thinking it was me and not the product, so I kept using it even though it barely lathered and left my poor hair stripped of all moisture and impossible to style. Finally I gave it to my sister, thinking it would work better in her thick, curly hair than in my skimpy locks. She used it once and threw it out.
