Aside from the cloying scent of roses, this is a very good moisturizer. I received a sample of this, and the price and lack of SPF are the only factors keeping me from purchasing the full size. The silky formula absorbs immediately, leaving my skin feeling smooth, hydrated, and glowing.

Who knew an eyelash curler could make such a difference? Before I bought this, I'd been muddling through with my cheap-o Cover Girl curler, assuming that kinks in lashes were just a part of life. They aren't! Shiseido's thoughtfully designed curler works instantly--just squeeze and release--to give me a wide-eye look.

It took me a couple of tries to get the hang of this. The trick is to apply two coats in a row, otherwise the color won't show up, even on the super pale. Be sure to rub this product in right after you spray (it dries quickly) to avoid streaks. The color is natural-looking and doesn't smell too bad/strong, but the color doesn't last for very long (two days at the most) and neither does the bottle.

I wish I would have discovered this product years ago, before I spent money on anything else. Before I bought this, I used separate products for straightening, shine, texture, volume, and hold. Now, I blowdry with a straightening balm, and apply this to my dry hair. OMG! I make it do anything I want for as long as I want, and it looks natural and smells divine.

I had my doubts about this no-frills lotion, which looks like carpenter's glue and smells a bit like Elmer's. But it won me over after one use. The creamy formula is instantly absorbed and provides long-lasting relief from dry skin. When I'm done applying, I run my lotion-y hands through my hair for extra frizz control.

I don't have oily or blemish-prone skin, but I do have sensitive skin. So rather than slather this all over my T-zone, I use it when I notice the occassional blemish start to form. I dab it on at night and in the morning. It prevents the pimple from getting any bigger, and it starts drying out within a day. Great stuff!

I bought this as an investment: I figured I could use it to lengthen my time between salon visits, which would save me money in the long run. Things didn't work out that way. I used this product two washings in a row and it didn't enrich my color all taht much. Also, it smelled awful. On the plus side, it did a great job conditioning my hair and didn't stain my hands or tub.

There is only one other flat iron on the market that has 100% ceramic plates (everyone else's "ceramic" flat irons have ceramic-coated plates), and it retails for $400. I can't imagine that $400 would buy you a better iron than this. It's a sad truth that professional irons are exponentially better than their drugstore counterparts, so start saving. Hana's iron is small and nimble. The cord swivels and the ergonomic handle makes straightening even the back of your head a snap. Even at a low heat setting, my ironing time was halved. The all-ceramic floating plates ensure that this glides over your strands and gets the job done the first time--the only sections I had to do twice were those with cowlicks. And this really does glide. There's absolutely no snagging or tugging, and you can barely feel it running over your hair. The results were perfectly straight, extra shiny (the shine, my goodness, the shine!) hair that lasted for two days. I was also stoked that this delicate iron came with a pouch, a sleek metal box, and a heat-proof silicone mat. Hana sure knows how to make a girl feel special. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

Calling this astrigent a lotion doesn't make it moisturizing, and herbal ingredients don't make it gentle. When I put this on my face, I immediately felt my skin tighten, and not in a pleasant way. I put my usual overnight cream over it and went to bed. In the morning, my skin looked good but was horribly dry, tight, and generally uncomfortable.

I've never been a huge fan of pencil eyeliners that aren't self-sharpening, and this Rimmel's liner reminds me of why. Even if the color were richly pigmented, it doesn't glide on easily, which means the results aren't as bold. On hot days, it glides on better, but the tip usually breaks off. But it's cheap and comes in a lot of good colors
