Admit it--you probably have a bottle of Avon's original pink bubble bath in your bathroom or linen closet! This has been around longer than I have, and it provides a wonderful, frothy way to get clean. New scents such as "Vanilla Cream," "Pomegranate and Peony," and "Fresh Peach" just make life more pleasant. When these are on sale, I scoop up an armful! My husband loves to let the foam collect around his feet while he showers and swears that nothing softens his skin like it.

Lancôme tends to make sophisticated, utterly unforgettable fragrances. Tresor is one of these. It is lovely, romantic, and quite elegant. The key notes are apricot blossom, rose, iris, peach, amber, sandalwood, musk and vanilla. I can't get my husband to quit following me when I'm wearing this, and I get a lot of compliments from other people.

Yesterday I reviewed Liz Earle's "Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser™." It is superb, but you are doing just HALF the job unless you finish with Liz Earle's "Instant Boost Skin Tonic™." This has a lovely floral smell. It is alcohol-free but removes every last bit of the cleanser you just used. It contains Vitamin E, hydrating aloe vera, and rose-scented geranium. It not only clarifies skin but leaves a fine layer of moisture. I like to keep some in a spray bottle in the refrigerator and spritz my face occasionally for a hydrating, refreshing lift.

Need a quick pick-me-up? Going somewhere special and want your face to be your best asset? Try Joey New York's "Instant Chemistry Quick Lunchtime Face Peel." Oh, I miss Joey's line of "Pure Pores" products--one was better than the other! But this is equally good. Despite the name on the box, I wouldn't suggest using it during your lunch hour. You want to spend time appreciating the benefits of this nicely scented, pink gel masque. Apply a thin layer to a cleansed face and neck. Leave on for approximately fifteen minutes or until the masque is dry (I suggest trying to take a "power nap" as you do this to renew your spirit as well). This is a very soothing treatment which shouldn't leave you red or raw--just glowing, with a new clarity and radiance. Marine collagen and Prozymex HBT instantly minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Joey's masque deep-cleans imbedded dirt and debris. Old, dead skin cells are exfoliated, exposing a new, lovely layer. Pores are minimized. In order to remove, begin to roll the masque off, starting from the neck and working up toward the forehead. For an added treat, use on backs of hands, elbows, and dry feet to refresh and revive. Those with sensitive skin may find this a little harsh and perhaps somewhat drying, but I find it simply comforting. Rinse very thoroughly once all of the masque is removed. You'll feel like a new woman (or man)!

Lisa Hoffman's "Night & Day Vitamin A & C Serum" is a product I received to critique for another site a few years ago. It is pricey--$95.00 for one ounce--but it is replete with Vitamins A and C. These work together to stimulate collagen production and provide antioxidant protection, Other ingredients include glycerin, panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, salicylic acid, aloe leaf juice powder, and lavender oil. I used it religiously for six months, and my skin was deeply hydrated, with an overall increase in firmness and resilience. It leaves a satin-like texture, decreasing the fine "parentheses" lines around my mouth area. Be sure to apply to neck and décolletage for complete benefits. I was fortunate enough to receive two; I tried to return one but was told to keep it, and so I gave it to my sister. She fell in love with the effect this had on her complexion and continues to buy this product to this day. Be forewarned: Despite what the serum says, this is NOT a day serum--it has a pleasant scent but is far too thick and gelatinous. It does work beautifully, however, when you leave it on overnight. You will awake to skin which is like new.

Burt's Bees "Beeswax Lip Balm" is chock-full of great ingredients: Coconut oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil, peppermint oil, Vitamin E, lanolin, and rosemary extract. It tingles and feels soothing on dry, chapped lips. The formula stays in place a very long time while it locks in moisture and rehydrates. I love it!

I've been using high-end mascara for so long that I've nearly forgotten how much I love Cover Girl's "Professional All-in-One Curved Brush Mascara." I had used it for years, and now I'm going back to it. The curved brush helps to discover and tint every lash. There is not an EXTREME change in length and volume, but my lashes are definitely enhanced. It does not smudge or clump, lasts for long, long hours without flaking, and removes easily with soap and water or a good eye makeup remover.

I will never know how a fragrance can imitate a crystal, but Versace "Yellow Diamond" smells like light! It is a bright, pure fragrance, with notes of citron, fresh pear sorbet, sparkling bergamot, freesia, orange blossoms, mimosa, amber wood, and musk. It is fascinating, surprising, feminine, and completely alluring. I love the fact that Sephora sells it in a rollerball so that you can toss it in your purse for touch-ups.

Physician's Formula products "gets it right" most of the time. I love their "Shimmer Strips Custom Blush and Highlighter." I have it in "Healthy Glow" (hues of pink), but it is also available in "Rosy Glow" (pink/berry), "Sunkissed Glow" (coral), and "Natural Glow" (a subtle coral/berry). These are absolutely perfect for the spring and summer months, and the versatility is amazing! As a blush, mix the shades with a fluffy brush and sweep over the apples of cheeks and upward toward cheekbones. If you'd like more intensity, apply with a slightly dampened sponge for deeper color which won't budge. For contouring and/or highlighting, use the deeper hues to accentuate cheekbones. Use the lighter colors by lightly dusting over cheekbones, temples, or wherever you normally do for an instantly revived, gorgeous, glow! The shimmer is not overwhelming, just lovely.

I like Korres products. I especially like their "Pomegranate Cleansing and Makeup Removing Wipes for Oily and Combination Skin." This is an all natural-product. It is free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, petrochemicals, GMO, and synthetic dyes and fragrances. What it DOES contain is pomegranate extract, Vitamin E (offers antioxidant protection and moisturizing properties), and glycerin. While it removes even heavy makeup, it is gentle on skin, with an enjoying, refreshing fragrance and texture.
