My husband and I both have this on our teachers' desks at our schools. Students are naturally drawn to the fragrance; we love the fact that they clean their hands before fingering everything we own!

Few things on earth smell as good to me as roses; Crabtree & Evelyn capture the divine aroma in this gorgeous perfume.

This is one of the most natural yet flattering blushes I have ever used. I keep the small brush which comes with it for touch-ups if needed, and I use a fluffy brush for a gorgeous, radiant glow which highlights my entire face.

My family teases me that I should see a counselor about my addiction to DHC's "White Soap." The soap is FANTASTIC--few things lather or clean like it, leaving behind squeaky-clean but moisturized skin. I do also enjoy DHC's "Pure Soap." The ingredients are sucrose (this has water-binding properties for the skin), diglycerin, olive fruit oil, aloe leaf juice, and glycerin. It is meant for all skin types. It provides no-nonsense cleaning, removing excess sebum, makeup, dirt, and every type of residue, while calming and moisturizing your complexion. There is no scent or color--just soft, clean skin left behind.

Few makeup primers make a great impression on me. I actually bought Benefit's "The Porefessional" for my husband--he is troubled with some large pores and wanted to cover them. This nude cream works to hide his pores without being noticeable at all. So I decided to use it under makeup. I love it! It doesn't have the heavy feeling Smashbox's primer and so many others gave me--I don't even realize it's there, except that my skin looks flawless. Benefit suggests patting a little additional product over makeup if pores are visible, being sure to blend well. For great photos, begin with this item, complete your makeup, and reapply it again so that the camera lens loves you.

I am so intrigued by Lorac's "PRO Palette" that I wanted carry-along colors and purchased two of their "Starry-Baked Eye Shadow Trios." The shadows are available in five colors--from gunmetal grays and smokes to ivory and deep green. Use dry for a beautiful look; a wet applicator brush results in star-quality drama and color. These are high-quality, plush shadows. This is about as good as it gets with eye shadow. The shimmer is ultra-flattering, and the color stays put from day through evening, especially when used over a great primer. What a great product!

This alcohol-free toner is made to comfort skin with anti-inflammatory seaweed and aloe extract. It feels extraordinary as it removes makeup, dirt, and residue of any sort. I use this all year long; in the summer, I often keep it in the fridge for extra-cooling results!

A lip pencil is still a "must" for me. It delineates and perfects your pout. Sometimes I outline my lips and then fill them in with the same color for all-day wear. NYX Cosmetics offers sixty ('count em) wearable, soft pencils for $3.50. I like the way they apply--no tugging involved. I like the wear. And I am crazy about the colors. This way, I can afford all I want!

Last fall I thought I detected a bit of sagging skin on my eyelids, and it made me crazy. I did a lot of research and kept coming back to Bremenn Labs, a company which produces products for very specific results--there is a "Clinical Strength Dark Circle Eraser," "Instant Forehead Smoother," and "Emergency Zit Stick," for starters. The science behind this product was convincing. Bremenn showed a grid of sorts, superimposed over the upper eye. It said, "Bremenn Upper Eyelid Lifter brightens as it lifts and firms the upper eyelid area to improve skin elasticity. Its concentrated formula works to improve the tone and texture of your skin as it minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles typical of crow’s feet. Unlike other creams, this one works to minimize the saggy, deflating appearance of upper eyelids that can cause skin to droop. Regular use of this product will help eyes appear bigger, brighter, and fresher for a more youthful appearance." I was impressed, and it is sold at The DermStore® ($59.00). Ingredients include avocado oil; shea and cocoa butters (always love to see these in a skin product); yeast, sweet almond oil, and rye seed extracts; glycerin; and hydrogenated vegetable oil. Dimethicone and peptides are the "powerhouse" ingredients made to actually lift skin, like shapewear for your eye area. Before I bought it, I didn't realize that there are no real ingredients to brighten the eye area (mistake number one). I read a number of reviews at the DermStore® and choose to ignore those that said this cream had no effect and concentrated only on those which did testify to its benefits (mistake number two). This product did NOTHING. It hardly softened my eye area or blurred the very tiny wrinkles beginning there, let alone lift sagging skin. I wasted my money completely. I would be furious, except that I am in love with Ole Henriksen's "Ultimate Lift Eye Gel," which does a great job of opening up my eyes for twenty dollars less!

Last spring I was in the mood for a new cleanser and was lucky enough to win Mario Badescu's "Enzyme Cleansing Gel" from another site. This is a non-foaming gel, perfect for any type of skin. It leaves your complexion completely clear of makeup, dirt, and residue without a taut feeling. The ingredients are amazing, mainly consisting of glycerin and exfoliating alpha-hydroxy acids which keep dead cells from building up and leave your complexion looking clearer with each use. I went on to purchase this again and again; the only problem is that I sometimes have to wrestle it from my husband.
