I've been on a long quest through many products for a sunscreen that provides stable protection, is lightweight and matte, and doesn't sting or make me break out. Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF 55 actually fulfills all those criteria. It is very fluid, doesn't leave a white cast, doesn't ball up, and goes on a little greasy, but once it absorbs and dries (10-15 minutes), it is very matte. In fact, I've found that I need to apply a thin layer of lightweight moisturizer underneath to keep my skin from drying out (even though I have oily skin and the weather is warm). Because of this, I will try the cream version in the winter. But I don't mind having to add a little moisture; that's far better than a sunscreen being too moisturizing. There are two reasons I didn't give this product 5 lippies: I dislike the overwhelming fragrance and would much prefer a fragrance-free sunscreen; and I would prefer if the product were packaged in a pump since it's so fluid. But despite the fragrance and the alcohol, it is so gentle that I can apply it all over my eye area, even on my lids! Overall, this is by far the best sunscreen I have found. Active Ingredients:Octinoxate 7.4%, Zinc Oxide 13.9%. Inactive Ingredients: water, cyclomethicone, butylene glycol, dimethicone, polymethyl methacrylate, trimethylsiloxysilicate, polybutylene glycol/ppg-9/1 copolymer, dimethicone copolyol, dextrin palmitate, xylitol, methyl gluceth-10, glutathione, zinc myristate, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, thiotaurine, scutellaria baicalensis extract, ectoin, cyclopentasiloxane, glycerin, acrylates/dimethicone copolymer, aluminum hydroxide, isostearic acid, stearic acid, disteardimonium hectorite, silica, alcohol, trisodium edta, bht, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, ethylparaben, fragrance, titanium dioxide.

I have this lipstick in two shades: Fresh Rose and Plum Kiss. I love the color, the fact that it has sunscreen, and the fact that the texture isn't nearly as slick as the MoistureSheer Lip Balms. I could, however, live without the peppermint flavor, and I wish the sun protection were better. Active Ingredients: Octinoxate 7.5%, Titanium Dioxide 1.1%. Inactive Ingredients: Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, BIS-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Phenyl Trimethicone, Petrolatum, Polyester 4, Polyethylene, Ceresin, C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanesterol Esters, Carnauba Wax, Menthyl Lactate, Stearoyl Inulin, Flavor, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, BHT, Sodium Saccharin, Alumina, Dimethicone, Polyglyceryl 2 Triisostearate, Methylparaben, May Contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Red 6, Red 7 Lake, Red 6 Lake, Yellow 5 Lake, Yellow 6 Lake, Red 36, Red 33 Lake, Red 27 Lake, Red 28 lake, Blue 1 Lake, Red 30.

Mary Kay TimeWise Age-Fighting Moisturizer (combination to oily)
Nice moisturizer but it contains polyacrylamide
I received a generous 1 oz. sample of this product from my husband's cousin, who sells Mary Kay. I rarely find a moisturizer that I like, but this is quite nice on my oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin. It is lightweight and matte but still provides adequate moisture. However, I don't plan to purchase it because I still prefer my HG moisturizer: PC Skin Balancing Moisture Gel. Furthermore, it contains polyacrylamide, which is a suspected carcinogen. Ingredients: water, glycerin, isododecane, dimethicone, propylene glycol, betaine, ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer, boron nitride, ammonium acryloyl-dimethyltaurate/vp copolymer, peg-12 dimethicone, polyacrylamide, phenoxyethanol, c13-14 isoparaffin, lauramide oxide, disodium edta, methylparaben, triethanolamine, c9-15 Alkyl phosphate, dmdm hydantoin, tocopheryl acetate, laureth-7, linoleamidopropyl, pg-dimonium chloride phosphate, sodium pca sorbitol, serine, thermus thermophillus ferment, threonine, proline, arginine, glycine, alanine, lysine, glutamic acid.

The Night Solution is basically a chemical exfoliant, and it's very overpriced at $30 for one ounce. I'd much rather buy a BHA or AHA from Paula's Choice ($15.95 for 4 ounces). More than the ridiculous price, however, I won't purchase the night solution because it seriously dried out my oily skin. I believe it has alcohol in it, though I can't say for sure since I don't have an ingredients list for it.

I found the Day Solution to be a nice part-zinc sunscreen (Octinoxiate 7.5%, Octisalate 5%, Zinc Oxide 3.88%, Oxybenzone 3%) that didn't irritate my skin or make me break out. This surprised me because after a bad experience with an all-physical sunscreen, I thought that I couldn't use physical filters, but apparently at least low concentrations of zinc are fine. I did find that on occasion the sunscreen would ball up just slightly when I applied it, but this did not happen often. I will not be purcashing this product, however, because of its insane price: $30 for 1 ounce. There's no way I'm paying that for sunscreen.

This shower gel has a formula that works well on my slightly dry skin, but the fragrance is much too masculine for me. I will use up what I have and keep looking for a shower gel I love. Ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauramide DEA, Oleyl Betaine, Fragrance, Polysorbate-20, Propylene Glycol, Tetrasodium EDTA, BHT, DMDM Hydantoin, Citric Acid, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Sodium Chloride, FD&C Red 40, FD&C Yellow 5, Blue 1.

This is a great 2.5% benzoyl peroxide acne treatment. It works by killing the bacteria that cause acne. There are stronger benzoyl peroxide products available, but most people don't need any stronger than this, and the stronger bp is more drying. I've used bp (including this product) on my acne for several years, but lately my skin has become more sensitive to it. I've also learned that it's an oxidizing agent on skin and so can, in theory, contribute to aging of the skin. Therefore, I'm on a quest to find an alternative product to keep my acne under control. Meantime, using it about three times a week seems to be working without causing too much extra irritation.

I sweat a lot, but my skin is too sensitive for Certain-Dri. I've found this antiperspirant to keep me drier than most drugstore ones, but I still sweat. Since it's fragrance-free, there is nothing to disguise the odor when I inevitably sweat. And sometimes the alcohol makes the product sting upon initial application. Overall, I much prefer Clarins Gentle Care Cream Deodorant. Active Ingredient: aluminum chlorohydrate 20.0%. Other Ingredients: purified water, urea, silica, alcohol denat., glycine, aluminum chloride, butyl stearate, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, alcloxa, benzethonium chloride, trisoidum edta, methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben.

Texturewise, this is a typical gloss: sheer, moist, slightly sticky. It also has a short-lived vanilla flavor that is pleasant enough, though I prefer my products unscented. The colors are pretty, but personally I'm not a fan of sparkles or of sticky gloss that transfers unto everything. For sheer lip color, I much prefer Clinique Buttershine lipsticks.

I picked this up on a whim at Walmart while I was waiting for the oil in my car to get changed a couple weeks ago. I should know better than to purchase skin care products on a whim, but unfortunately, I still do so occasionally. Fortunately, this was a cheap purchase, and I will use it. For the price, it really is a nice moisturizing body wash. However, I have normal to oily skin on my body, so I find this a bit too moisturizing, especially with the warmer months coming up. The fragrance is pleasant...at first. It reminds me of Victoria's Secret Heavenly fragrance, and it becomes a bit cloying after a bit, and I'm already getting tired of it. Overall, it's nice for the money but I won't repurchase. Ingredients: water, sodium trideceth sulfate, cocamide mea, sunflower seed oil, sodium lauroamphoacetate, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium chlordie, cocamidopropyl betaine, cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, dimethicone, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, panthenol, tocopheryl acetate, ascorbic acid, hydrolyzed silk, chamomilla recuitita flower extract, sunflower extract, primula veris extract, sambucus nigra flower extract, propylene glycol, sorbitol, disodium edta, citric acid, dmdm hydantoin, fragrance, red 33, blue 1, ext. violet 2.
