I purchased three or four nail blocks from a dollar store in the past. But they were all small and either too hard or too soft. This Body Shop one comes in a nice size, and it is not just a nail buffer, rather a multi-tasking tool. It files, removes ridges, and polish my nails. This block makes my nails look neat, shiny, and healthy. The sandpaper like surfaces become less and less effective over time, but still it lasts several months for me. BTW, a few months ago my friend recommended me, Seacret Nail Buffer, which she got it at a mall. A Seacret buffer gives my nails the best shine, but it is way overpriced, and I feel that it makes my nail much thinner (also, I did not like a pushy sales person. Thus, I keep this Body Shop one.

This lotion came with a Envy Me gift set. Just like their perfume bottle, it has a floral and a bit sweet fruity scent. A good thing for me is that it does not have a peppery scent that I noticed in their perfume bottle. This light pink colored lotion is not thick at all, and absorbs into skin quick enough. Not moisturizing enough for winter skin, but this is not too bad as a special occasion perfumed lotion. I wear by itself, not with their matching perfume because the scent is strong, but when the lotion dries and the scent settles, it becomes rather nice on my skin.

I got this lotion to use post-workout shower. I love Nivea's body wash Touch of Happiness, especially the scent. Since this lotion has the same ingredients (orange blossom and nourishing bamboo essence), I expected this to have the same/similar fragrance. The scent is good, but it is not the same. This one smells a bit more like sweet lemonade. The consistency is a bit runny even for a body lotion. Hence, it lightly moisturizes my skin. I may use it during hot and humid summer months, but this would not be my pick as a winter lotion.

I got this tub as a gift about 2 x-mas ago together with a few LUSH products. First of all, it looked very rich and greasy, and it was. I have acne prone skin, therefore, I did not use it on my face. Secondly, I remember it did not smell very appealing to me, but since it contained the natural ingredients like avocado and sesame oil, I kept it to use for my body. My problem was that it did not sink into my skin for some time. It was way too rich for my oily/combination skin.

I've been using Goody's Brunette Oval Bobby Slides for many years. One slide holds much more hair than a regular bobby pin does, but it is still discreet yet adds a nice accent for my hair. It stays in place for hours comfortably. I wish it was a little bit, just a little bit bigger.

When I want nice color, my favorite is Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil. The scent is great, and it actually has coconut oil, aloe in the bottle. It's not watery, easy to spread and absorbs into skin very quick. It gives my skin quick tan. SPF 4 may be better than their no SPF version, but I did not feel any difference. I wish there was a higher SPF with similar quality tanning oil from Hawaiian Tropic, but it would may be oxymoron?! lol. The bottle eventually gets a bit slippery, but I like that their small hole let me control how much I want to use.

This scent did not work well on me. It smells always lovely on my mom, but when I wear it, it smells different. When I freshly sprayed it, it was sweet, fruity and a bit powdery, then, a few hours later, the scent transformed to a bit acidic on my skin. It is quite strong so a little goes a long way. I love the beautiful and distinctive bottle, but the scent is just not for me.

I thought contact lenses are contact lenses, they are all the same, but no, not according to my husband. Johnson's Acuvue is the only brand that he wears and likes. He tried other brands, but always something about them - complaining about his eyes being too dry, too uncomfortable, or too itchy etc. But not with Acuvue. He has changed types of his Acuvue over the years. He used to wear 30-day Acuvue, then changed to 1-day Acuvue, now wears 1-Day Acuvue Moist. Even though Acuvue is usually much more expensive, I don't think he would switch to other brands.

My cuticles on both hands are tough and rather thick. I leave this stuff a bit longer than what it says on the bottle (the directions say 15 seconds and no more than 1 minute). It removes cuticles on my fingernails and toenails pretty good (sometimes I still have to use a nipper to take off some leftovers), and my nails look neat and groomed. I don't know if this is just for me, but it seems to work even better and faster after taking a bath. This is a strong stuff. Even though I love the effectiveness and time-saving process, I only use this stuff when I am in hurry.

This serum leaves my dry and damaged hair a little more manageable, hydrated and straight when I wake up, but my hair does not become completely frizz-free. Also, I still prefer a good intensive conditioner or hair mask to any overnight serum. This serum does not make my hair look oily or leave a stain on my pillow case, however, I just don't feel clean to leave the serum on my hair overnight. That's just me.
