I usually buy a self-tanning moisturizer to maintain my tan that I get over summers. Jergens' another Natural Glow product, the Express, gave faster and a bit oranger results that I desired, so I decided to try this one (Medium Skin Tones) instead. I like the gradual self-tanning process by this moisturizer. I can adjust the dept of the color added to my skin, and it makes my skin tone more even, but what's up with the sparkly dusts? I would not call it glitter since it is not intensive, but I still do not like sparkly stuff on my skin. The smell is still bad, but not the worst one I have ever had. One biggest setback for using any self-tanner for me is that I cannot exfoliate my skin. If I do, the days of self-tanning effects come off. Anyhow, I find there are good things and bad things about this particular self-tanner.

Recommended by a friend, I used this lotion during the past summer for the first time. The smell is amazing, a combination of coffee, vanilla & coconut. Natural and not too sweet. The creamy lotion absorbs into my dry and sun tanned skin quickly. It does not have a soothing effect because this is not aloe-based after sun lotion. But my skin immediately feels hydrated and softened. I also like that it has all the natural and organic ingredients. It is more expensive than drugstore brands, but I have never owned a after-sun lotion smelling like mocha cappuccino and works great! This is a fantastic summer after-sun lotion.

Estee Lauder Take it Away LongWear Makeup Remover Towelettes
Nice, but not too spectacular considering the price
I received a travel size pack of this makeup remover towelettes as a gift with purchase. Just like other cleansing clothes, these towelettes are convenient, portable and pre-moistened facial cleansing washcloths. For my daily makeup, I do not see major difference in results between these and drugstore brand cleansing cloths like Garnier Wet Cleansing Towelettes or one of the Olay lines. While I like the scent of Garnier ones slightly better, my skin might have felt a bit less sticky when I used Estee Lauder's, but I use a toner after removing my makeup with these clothes anyway. The biggest difference is obviously the cost. Garnier's is less than half the price of Estee Lauder's. I did not pay for this one, but if I have to, for my travel makeup remover I would probably stick with affordable brands like Garnier, Olay, Boots or Pond's.

Head & Shoulders 3 Action Formula Smooth & Silky Shampoo
Works about the same as their Classic Clean
H&S is my husband's favorite shampoo and conditioner series. He occasionally changes to other brands, but he comes back to H&S. He suffers from mild dandruff, and he has dry itchy scalp and oily hair. Yes, what a contrast. While he prefers the refreshing scent of the original formula, the combination of this shampoo and the matching conditioner clearly minimize his dandruff and other problems. He feels that the matching conditioner makes his hair less frizzy than Classic Clean conditioner, but this shampoo seems to work about as good as their Classic Clean shampoo.

This was my first Vera Wang perfume. The bottle is so adorable that before I sampled, I assumed that it would be too girly sweet scent for me. Surprisingly, the fragrance is light, fresh, clean rosy scent. What I like about this perfume is that it seems to be not blended with all kinds of other stuff. It is simple and pure rose scent, and I can wear for many occasions and to many places. I am not a floral perfume fan, but I love this scent on my skin. It was expensive, but I bought it to celebrate something special, and despite the price tag, I love this perfume. If you love the smell of rose, you will love Truly Pink.

This conditioner works against my husband's dandruff, and restores the moisture that the matching shampoo washed away. I can see that it makes his frizzly fluffy hair soft and more manageable, but maybe not completely smooth and silky (well, he has very stubborn hair). But the most problematic part of his hair, his dandruff, is clearly taken care of by this H&S line!

Based on my eye shape and size, I was recommended to get The Tutorials I, not II. This Smokey Eye Tutorials came with Skyline eyecolor, Celestne eyecolor, and the best part of the kit - Double Ended Smoky Eye brush. The dark blue/gray Skyline compliments my brown eyes and shimmery Celestine color nicely. The design of the brush makes a smoky eye creation much easier. I have small eyes, so when a brush is big and too soft, my smoky eyes tend to look as if someone punched my eyes! But this brush allows me to control how much and how far I want to apply. My only problem creating smoky eyes with this kit is that the powders are quite loose. Without a primer AND without lightly dampen the brush end, the powders do not stay well for my skin. Once I found out a few tricks, I am happy with the results.

I tried their exfoliating body wash some time ago, and I liked their brown sugar scent. At an off-price retailer, the bar version was sold at the price I could not refuse! There were little exfoliating beads on/in this soap, but those beads were actually not enough to exfoliate my skin. Anyway, it lathered quite nice for a bar of soap, and left my skin a clean feeling without overly drying it out. The scent was not as intensive as their body wash, but still if you like sugary vanilla scent, you will love the fragrance. In comparison, I like their body wash version more, and my family is a bar of Dove soap fan. However, it was a nice change, and the price was darn good for 6 bars!

This sachet came with a L'Occitane lavender collection I received as a gift. The small cotton bag was filled with lacender potpourri, it smelled very natural and fresh. I put it my suitcase when I had to travel on almost a weekly basis. I love the scent that I wish the scent lasted longer. The suitcase was closed most of the time, and the scent lasted several weeks, but it did not stink up my clothes! It seems to be expensive just for dried lavender pieces in a tiny bag, but the bag was small enough to fit inside a shoe too!

I bought it a long time ago because I loved the bottle. The bottle looked very pretty by my dorm's window..lol. I expected it to smell floral, but I found it more like baby powder. It was so powdery that I could not smell flower or anything else. It was also too strong, dusty and heavy. I could not stand it on my skin. I sprayed the rest for a bathroom and a basement to mask odor, and kept the bottle as a decorative item.
