Shiseido Benefiance Pure Retinol Intensive Revitalizing Face Mask
Expensive but revitalize and rejuvenate skin
I used one pack (4 sheets) just once. Each mask is soaked in serum. After using this, my skin felt very hydrated and soft. It gets better. The next morning, my skin was smooth and felt even tighter, and my foundation went on smoothly. I have oily/combination skin with visible signs of aging but these rich nourishing masks did not give me breakout. I love how this mask makes my skin feel and look, but it is way too expensive for one-time use mask. I bought the Sephora Power Mask instead. The results were not even close. Oh how I wish I could have this every 3-4 days. If money is no object, please do try this mask.

These bobby pins are great tools hold the sides of my hair when I make ponytail or bun. The ball-tipped ends are bigger than their Colour Collection's so they don't scratch my scalp when I put them in my hair. But they still disappear in hair well.

I have been buying scented candles from Pier 1, Bath and Body Works, WoodWick, Yankee Candle etc. But it is time for me to realize and recognize that Glade makes darn good scented candles for very attractive price! Their soy-based candles do not have a wide selection, but I love their Currants & Acai. First I was very skeptical, so I bought only a 2 oz size. The scent was so pleasant - fruity, tangy and a bit sweet. The small size candle was perfect for our bathroom, then, I purchased their 10 oz size with 3 wicks. It is even better, not because this one is bigger. I think it is better because it comes with a lid, which has sealed more fragrance. I started buying more Glade brand candles. With coupons, I can easily get their candles for half the price of the big names.

Just like other alcohol-based antibacterial hand gels, it dries fast but also dries hands too. One difference I noticed is that this gel does not have a strong alcohol scent. My hands smelled a little bit citrusy, clean and fresh. If you want to even more pleasant scent version, try Bath Body Works' or Avon's antibacterial hand gel. I like Gold Bond Ultimate Hand Sanitizer Moisturizer, which does not dry out my hands like an alcohol based instant sanitizing gel does.

I was shopping for a MAC lip gloss with a little bit of glitter. I was not sure which one would be better for me, Dazzleglass or Superglass. When I saw this flashy copper/apricot color Disco Blend filled with glitter, I thought what a heck, I'm certainly not going to be any younger! I really loved the color of this superglass on my lips. It was a bit sticky and thick, and the glitter was big and chunky so I could not distribute it evenly. I love MAC makeup featuring bold colors, but this lip gloss was not my favorite Mac lipglass collection.

Physicians Formula Summer Eclipse Bronzing & Shimmery Face Powder
A few practices later, works alright
Very cheap but certainly not the worst bronzer I've ever owned. At first I was like, "why do I need a two-tone bronzer?" but this was so affordable that I don't feel guilty playing with it. I can be creative by using it on just cheeks or on all over my face. The darker shade is a bit darker for my skin tone, so I have to blend the two colors, or blend with another bronzer to create a highlighting effect. After a few practice I know how much I should use it to look more natural. This formula is light, and it feels good on face. Although this is not a flawless bronzer, I still use this one occasionally, especially when I don't want to waste my bareMinerals Warmth. ;)

I have several different sets of these duos. This line seems to be often given as a Clinique gift with purchase item. These eye shadows blend well. Their color combination are nice, but a few sheer/neutral ones are not pigmented enough. A primer may be necessary for some of these shadows unless you have very oily eye lids. Having said that, overall, these duos are weightless and wearable for daily use. When I want to use bold and a bit smoky eyes, I use MAC or bareMinerals. But when I feel like sheer results or soft/paste color eye shadow, I switch back and forth between this line and Shiseido's Hydro-Powder eye shadow.

Lush Big Blue Bath Bomb was my first Lush product. To be frank, Big Blue was just okay. The scent was decent, but I expected the scent to be more like a refreshing ocean scent like Davidoff coolwater, but it was a bit powdery and perfumey. Not at all unbearable though. It was just different from my imagination. I liked the fizz, and the bomb turned the water beautiful blue color. The floating seaweed pieces did not bother me, but yeah it was a weird experience. It still created a nice relaxing bath, but as soon as I drained the water, I had to clean up the seaweed bits that remained on the bottom of the tub. :( So much for the relaxing bath. Also, unfortunately, it was not very moisturizing. I needed to use a body butter as a follow-up. A few months later I got a Butterball Bath Bomb as a gift, and it was more moisturizing. However, if I want a fizzing bath experience with the similar price range, I still prefer Japanese bath tablet.

I like the convenient container, and it requires no cotton balls, no rubbing. I just dip my fingertips in the tab, and touch the pre-soaked sponge. And nail polish is gone! When I use topcoat, it takes another try, but still impressive. Unfortunately, it dries out my fingers so hand lotion/cream is a must after using this. Gradually the sponge gets dirty, and you have to buy a whole tub again (but one jar/tab seems to last long). Still, if money is no object and you need a fast nail polish remover, try this!

Revlon has very affordable beauty tools, and a few month ago I upgraded from a pumice stone to this foot smoother. I also tried a Revlon's callus remover but it was too harsh for my skin. This tool works like between pumice stone and metal callus remover, and I like this one much better. It is easier to handle, it does not shave off my skin too deep, and the double-sided smoother works very well. I can use the coarse side for calluses and cracked heels, and the fine side for my elbows. My heels and elbows feel smoother and softer, and plus it was very affordable!
