Clinique Super City Block Oil-Free Daily Face Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 40
High SPF, but not my favorite City Block
Many years ago when I started using makeup, I did not know about a foundation primer. And most of my foundation did not come with SPF. Therefore, when the first City Block (I think it was SPF 15) came out, I worshiped the Clinique City Block line. I used it almost daily as as a under foundation base. Over the years I have upgraded to a higher SPF City Block. My favorite one was a tinted SPF 25 version, which is unfortunately discontinued. For my oily/combo skin, this highest SPF City Block is okay as a sunscreen, but not so effective as a foundation base. My mineral powder foundation do not stay as good as when I use other primers. This City Block definitely feels a bit heavier than the Oil-Free City Block.

I love the coconut scent, so I could not pass up this one. But the scent is a bit unusual. It is coconuty, but is also mixed with peppermint. Not too bad, I love a coconut scent, I love a mint scent, but I am just not too crazy about this fragrance combo. The texture is thick, and I think it is more like balm or ointment than cream. Yes, it is moisturizing, but since it is concentrated, it takes some time to sink in. And after applying this, my feet feel a bit sticky. For more creamy texture and fast absorbing foot cream, my choice is Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Foot Creme. And when I want a thick and concentrated formula for cracked heel and elbows, I would still pick Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Foot Cream.

This is a great moist towelette for a quick wipe down whenever and wherever I cannot take a shower for a long time or after a long flight. This awesome item was first given by my flight attendant friend. This towelette makes me feel clean without any irritation. I also like the fact that it is flushable! I don't know where to get them, except La Fresh's homepage.

I use to wear this when I was in college. I guess my taste has evolved since then. For nostalgic reasons, I bought a 5-pack of mini Calvin Klein collection, and this one was included. Today I don't find the scent too appealing. It smells too spicy and sweet at the same time. The positive points (negative if you don't like the scent) are that, the scent is quite strong and bold, and it lasts long.

Glowelle Natural Raspberry Jasmine Flavor Beauty Drink Dietary Supplement Powder Sticks
Not worth it
I used both a 7-day pack of this raspberry and jasmine flavor and the other flavor, pomegranate lychee. I liked the pomegranate lychee flavor slightly more. This flavor was a bit bitter, but not unbearable. Although it came in a convenient powder stick, it did not dissolve in water no matter how often I shook (I used in a water bottle). After 14-day continuously and faithfully drank them, I did not see or feel any difference on my skin. I think this drink mix is way overpriced and certainly does not deliver.

This was my very first hair serum. I used to like it, and it used to be adequate enough because I did not know much about other frizz control products. Since then, I have tried many other anti-frizz serum/lotion products, and I hate to say this, some work much better than this one. While it is lightly scented and makes my hair a bit less frizzy, Frizz-Ease serum makes my hair look a little greasy and weigh-down. Nowadays there are outperforming serums, such as Redken Glass Serum and Got2b Smooth Operator, which not only tame frizzy hair but also add shine and smoothness.

The Body Shop's fruity soaps have the best scents. I especially like the scents of their Pink Grapefruit and Satsuma very much - both refreshing and citrusy. Not too moisturizing though. But when I just need to cleanse my hands or body and I don't need a moisturizing soap, this soap is a great choice. BTW, when I did not use and kept in a dry place for some time, the bar started drying out. I guess that usually happens to many bar soaps (except Dove's).

This lip stain was one of a few Sephora items I got for the last year's stocking stuffers. I got in Red Wine, and I liked that it was nice and mature red. But on my lip, it did not look deep red, just light and sheer red. The staying power was quite weak. After shipping a cup of tea, the color was almost gone. It was not too sticky, but not very moisturizing either. I am not a big fan of lip stain. None of lip stain products has never worked well on my lips. BTW, I still have not used on my cheeks.

The oil absorbing blotting sheet is very vital for me since I live in a hot humid climate. During the summer months, being in outside for 5 min is enough for me to get all sweaty. Each sheet is blue colored, I gently place a sheet on my skin, and I can see how much it sucks up excess oil from my skin without messing up makeup. Even though it is a bit more expensive than Clean & Clear's, I like this Neurorogena's more than the Clean & Clear's blotting sheet. But I have a feeling that it is not as easy to find as it once was.

I remember how popular Hard Candy was when it first came out. A few months ago I was surprised to see that Walmart sells them. It was a good deal. Maybe the bottle I got was old or something. I mixed several times, but it was still goopy. Yet the color, Pink Pearl, was too sheer. I had to do triple coats. The color was nice, but since I triple coated, some peeled off by the end of the day. I thought Hard Candy was much better, but again, it was maybe just my bottle. Hmmm.
