Bath & Body Works White Barn Candle Co. Concentrated Home Fragrance Spray
Love their variety - fruity, clean, seasonal, floral etc.
There are so many fragrances to choose from that there is definitely something for everyone! I use their scented candles in the living room, our bed room, and when I take a bath. But I prefer to use these sprays for bathrooms and around our kitchen to eliminate short-term unwanted smell. My current favorite is Japanese Cherry Blossom, but I always try a different fragrance because there are always a few different scents on sale. I have seen that Slatkin's Odor Eliminating collection at BBW, but I prefer the design of this room spray.

Arm & Hammer Essentials Natural Deodorant
Not all natural, but still a decent aluminum-free deodorant
I initially bought this one for my husband, but when I opened, it did not smell masculine at all. BTW, the product label clearly said "unscented", but it had a citrus scent. Since my deodorant was almost out, I ended up keeping it for myself. It smelled refreshing and clean, so I was not too upset about the "unscented" part. When I applied, I did not see major white stains/residue on my clothes. While it actually controlled odor, unfortunately it did not keep me dry all day. I had to apply one more time in the mid-afternoon. Well, to be fair, I used it during the humid summer month and my workout hours. Although I don't think all the ingredients in this deodorant are natural, this is a very affordable aluminum-free choice.

I use this nail protector as a top coat. One coat is thin, so it does not last too long. However, this is good enough for certain occasions. For instance, when I go out in the evening, I sometimes use a bold/a bit funky shade. I use it to add a bit shine. When I come home, I want to wipe off the color anyway before I go to bed. It did not work well for 3-4 day wear so I would not use this one to prolong my nail color. But when I just need a clear coat for a short period of time, this does the job. I cannot complain much because it was dirt cheap. Perhaps, this is the best 99 cents nail product!

I still use Maybelline cover stick concealer, but I am not completely satisfied with it, and I have been looking for a concealer with better coverage to cover-up my acne scars, sun spots and dark circles. Since it is just a concealer, I don't want to experiment with pricey high end products. I gave this VS concealer a try. I like their wand applicator, but the coverage is very weak. It does not conceal any of my problematic areas. The consistency is creamy, but it is a bit thin for me. I feel this is more like a regular liquid foundation in a portable container.

This was, yes, I said "was", my favorite drugstore eye makeup remover. I believe this was unfortunately discontinued here in the US. I have not seen the whole Nivea Visage line for some time. This remover was a creamy lotion, not a liquid-based remover. It was gentle enough for my eyes, but strong enough to take off most of my eye makeup. It never irritated my eyes. It may have not been the best one, but it was the best in the price range.

When I lost my lip gloss while out of town, I needed a replacement, a quick, cheap and glitter-free lip gloss. I got this in Cherry Bloom at a 24-hour drugstore. This nude/light pink gloss is surprisingly not too sticky, maybe a bit greasy/heavy, just a little. My shade smells fruity. It makes my lips really shiny and smooth, but it is a little weak on color. It would make a good finishing product or a shiny/sheer gloss, but by itself I wish it was pigmented a little more. Maybe I should have chosen a darker or deeper shade. Since it was very affordable, I may try another color.

The fist thing I noticed was the scent. It had a rich floral scent, mainly coming from orchid I assume. The creme was not too heavy or thick, and it absorbed into my post-scrubbed/exfoliated skin quickly. My skin felt hydrated and smooth. But unfortunately, the fragrance was a bit too strong for me. It left lingering fragrance on my skin for a while. Once the smell gradually faded away, I was able to enjoy more. The strength of the scent was equivalent to a perfumed body lotion, which I only wear to special occasions. Therefore, I did not buy the full size product, but still got a sample size instead. I read the insert stating that a portion of the sales are donated to the rain forest foundation, I think that's a a great cause, but I am just not too crazy about the scent of this creme. If you love a perfumed body creme/lotion, you will love this creme much more than I did.

A few years ago I got a Gucci Envy Me miniature gift set, which included a toilette spray, a body lotion and a shower gel for my b-day from my husband. It has a floral scent, and smells a little sweet, and interesting enough a little peppery. It is nice, I like it, but I don't love enough to wear it everyday. I feel this fragrance may be more loved by ladies younger than me. I love the cute bottle though!

The price tag $1 was the main reason I purchased this. I use makeup sponge wedges when I apply liquid foundation (which is not too often lately). Just like Sephora's, these ELF's wedges comes in a nice portable container. A wedge absorbs a lot of foundation, and works as good as (or even better in some cases) more pricey ones. But, oh, I know! what is the smell? Why could Elf not make these fragrance-free? Actually, it is more like odor than fragrance. Either way, these wedge smell awful. When I first opened it, I thought I got a rotten one. But obviously, mine is not the only smelly one. Due to the smell, despite the price, I won't repurchase anytime soon.

I recently started using loose powder eyeshadow occasionally, and I noticed that loose powder-based eye shadows do not stay on my lids. A Sephora salesperson recommended me this Too Face Shadow Insurance or Urban Decay Primer Potion. I prefer a squeezable tube, so I got this primer instead. The first a few attempt, runny and oily stuff came out. I rubbed and massaged the tube, then, the consistency was a bit better. Still, it feels a bit oily on my lids. What I like about this primer is that it does not change the color of the shadow. Even with this primer, by the end of the day my shadows still don't look as bold and vibrant as when I applied, but this primer prevents creasing and extends the wear of my eye shadows. The small tube is expensive, but all I need is a dub so I am still using the first tube after 6 months.
