Urban Decay Naked Basics Eye Shadow Palette
Just because they're Basics doesn't mean they're not amazing!
I have fallen in love with Urban Decay products throughout the time I have shopped high end makeup and their eyeshadow palettes are so incredible I definitely feel they are growing to become my favorites. So the $29 price point is great because I always divide out the number of products in the kit by the price and when divided out that is $4.83 per eye shadow; this is actually a better value than shopping for drugstore makeup as most of the time drugstore eyeshadows are around that price anyways so if you are new to high end makeup and have the $29 plus tax to purchase the Naked Basics palette, I would. In the long run you're paying about the same as drugstore eye shadows but are getting such a highly pigmented matte shadow that the money is well worth it! If you like nude shades and want an eyeshadow palette that is tiny, sleek, and perfect for day or night, I would say this is a great value. This palette comes with six matte eyeshadows in shades Venus, Foxy, WOS, Naked 2, Faint, and Crave and those shades go from lightest to Crave being a matte black. I usually use WOS as a highlight along my brow bone and Naked 2 on my lid and blend Faint into my crease when I am just running errands are doing anything that is more conservative. At nighttime or if I am going out or to a special event I would rather put Crave in my crease and blend as it definitely gives my eyes a more dramatic look and I pair it with a nude lip. If I have to work I just use WOS on my brow bone and Naked 2 on my lid and blend. The shadows are so soft, easy to apply, easy to blend, and stay all day, whether I'm just running errands, doing house work or out in the heat, they aren't smudging or moving. I believe this is a great palette for all skin types and different ethnicities as nude shades work for everyone. If you are looking for a small but reliable and well priced nude eyeshadow palette the Naked Basics is for you!

I have to admit that one of the biggest reasons I love Benefit products is because of the adorable packaging; I know many reviews I've read and the times I see it advertised I'm just drawn to the outside! The POREfessional by Benefit has some of the cutest packaging I've seen for primer; the top of the box opens up and has an action figure with a pore zapping ray gun (too cute) and the side explains that the primer is a dual action prime &touchy during the day which is great for me as I tend to get oily on my forehead. The side of the box says it's oil-free, lightweight, translucent, and silky- I agree with all of these claims. Upon opening the product I notice it's a squeeze down product with the POREfessional agent on it and love the color-it's like a Tiffany blue and cream color. Squeezing out the primer I notice it's like a peach color which is different than what I'm used to with primers as most tend to be a clear color but am excited to try this one; it feels super smooth on my fingertips and I pay it on exactly where the instructions say to- from the inside to the outside of my face. I dab it on my cheeks, forehead, and chin and rub all over. Than I wait a few minutes and apply the rest of my makeup; by the end of the day my makeup still looks great and my forehead isn't a shiny mess like it usually is. I really love this primer but next time I purchase it I'm going to buy the larger size if it's available. I feel like the point 75 is one is going too fast. Love you Benefit cosmetics!

As usual, Dove deodorants are amazing! I purchased this at Target to give it a shot and see how well this dry spray compares to the stick applicator and I am so glad I did! I purchased the Cool essentials scent figuring it smells like cucumbers as there is a picture of one on the front cover of the package. The bottle says 48 h antiperspirant so I also wanted to test that claim: it's true! After showering I dried my underarms and holding the can 6 inches from your underarm you just spray. It is a little cold which was expected as it is coming from a can and it's aerosol, but it felt like it dried within one minute; that is probably the only thing I would say is wrong about this product, it doesn't feel like it dries instantly like the can says. I didn't need to hold my arms up to let it dry either though, which I have had to do with other deodorants so I was happy with that. Actually, the other claim that I did not agree with is the can says this will last eight weeks; I used my entire can in three weeks. I used it everyday and sprayed just as I was reading on the can. That is not an issue for me as it's deodorant, I will use as much as I need to to make sure I'm dry and smell good. I love this dry spray and will purchase again; Great job as usual Dove!

I was very pleased after using this setting spray because all the reviews I read online were right! I have been a big fan of NYX's matte makeup setting spray as it is a great price and works really well at keeping my makeup looking like I just did it day and night. The one turn off about that spray is it smells awful! However, I finally found a makeup setting spray that works wonderfully, AND smells amazing! The Urban Decay all nighter long lasting makeup setting spray is taking the spot of my old favorite! I do my makeup and happily spray this all over my face starting at my forehead and finishing at my chin. I do not go crazy and spray a bunch of pumps, usually four or five sprays will cover my entire face and seal in my makeup. I tested the spray the first day I used it and checked my eyeshadow and powder to see if it was melting away, had disappeared, or was starting to look like it was never put on my face (my blush does this to me a lot) and throughout the day my makeup looked just as it had when I first applied it in the morning. I was EXTREMELY impressed with this spray and know that as soon as I am finished with this bottle, I will be purchasing another. I have come across many setting sprays that are higher end that do not perform like this one and don't feel like my makeup is actually being set the way this product makes my skin feel; it feels like there is a layer of protectant over my face unlike other sprays that feel like I'm just spritzing on water or liquid. I highly recommend you try this setting spray, Urban Decay does not disappoint!

I purchased this last year before the summer with the intent on using it for just that, but never got to. I opened this little gem up recently and love it for THIS summer. I purchased the shade 03 Sunswept and feel this shade is great for my skintone; I have a dark brown skin complexion and tan very well in the summer. This bronzer has a matte finish which I love during the summer months as anything sparkly or glittery will make me look oily and sweaty and aside from that there is not really any kind of smell to it. Sunswept has great pigmentation and shows perfectly on my skin before I blend it out so it's not too dark. I use bronzer in the summer just to contour my nose, chin, the lines under my cheekbones, and the bridge of my nose and I feel this shade gives my skin that perfect contour I want without it being too dark for my skin and not too light so the contour can't be seen. I use a contouring brush to gently dip into the bronzer and tap off the excess back into the pan; a little goes a long way with a contour brush so I always dab and tab before applying to the areas of my face I want contoured. I have been using Lancome products since I was in high school as I always got hand me downs(which made me fall for the products) and always love the elegance and beauty of all their packaging and the way their powders are displayed; this bronzer has the signature Lancome flowers on the left side and grooves throughout so it looks like the flowers are shining. I absolutely love everything about this bronzer...except that it's discontinued! I will be using this bronzer through the rest of the summer and into the winter months but am going to try to make it last me a while as I will not be able to purchase this in any department store again! If you're somehow able to find it and purchase it give it a shot, it's great! Awesome job as usual Lancome!

Looking past the price(+$30), I have to say I am hooked on this product. I'm always very willing to purchase new concealers and try them because there are so many out there that conceal different things and there are different colors to cancel out skin problems. I have been using the shade Banana which I originally thought was not going to work against my very tan skin, but it works like a dream to camouflage my very dark black circles under my eyes. The first thing I love about Becca products is their elegant and sleek packaging. This concealing creme comes in a pot so I tend to use my right ring finger to apply it; I've noticed that this concealer is very thick compared to some of the others that I've used so a little goes a long way. I dip my finger in and get just the tiniest amount for each eye and dab three little circles under each eye. I will either use a blending sponge or a small kabuki brush to gently blend the concealer onto the dark circles and somewhat into the corner of my inner eye. I think the yellow color of this product not only hides my dark circles but also brightens up my eye area and acts like a highlight, which I love! I always set my liquid makeup with a powder so I don't get sweaty or oily and after I set my undereye area this concealer isn't going anywhere. It doesn't feel like against my skin and doesn't cake off throughout the day, no matter how hot it is or what I'm doing. I think I have gotten my moneys worth as this pot should last me for at least six months because I use so little everyday. Great job Becca cosmetics!

I have read so many great reviews online and friends that say that this is a great eyebrow pencil; WHY did I wait so long to buy this product and try it?! I am hooked! Getting past the price (over $20) was probably the only thing that made me a little nervous because with a price that high, it had better deliver, but it did. I always buy Dark brown as my eyebrow shade because that seems to work the best for my very dark eyebrows that look black. Upon taking off the caps on both sides of the pencil I love that it has the retractable pencil but also has a spoolie brush on the other side that I can use to comb through and control my unruly brows. I always like to swatch pencils for some reason and like to feel the texture of the product before I put it on my face. This pencil has a great feel to it- It doesn't feel super rough like some pencils I've had the unfortunate pain of coming across but is not super soft and crumbly when I make a line on my hand. I let the pencil mark sit on my hand and use my other fingers to wipe it off, but it's not going anywhere which is always a good sign for me. From what I've gathered this pencil is super tiny with its application to make sure that you do not go crazy with penciling in your eyebrows. I tend to just do small strokes starting at my arch and finish at the tail area as that is the most sparse. I love the fact that I do not feel discomfort when penciling my eyebrows or tugging; some eyebrow pencils actually hurt to apply! I flip over the pencil and use the spoolie to comb through every few seconds to distribute the product throughout my brows. I believe this is a great pencil that kind of makes it impossible to overdo your eyebrows or draw them on too much because of the small size of the actual product; it hits all the sparse areas of my brows without making them look fake or painted on. I have used so many eyebrow products and all of the hype with Anastasia brow products is TRUE! Try this pencil!

I love other Juicy Couture scents, but I cannot like this one. It's too strong for me even though it is a floral scent and I do tend to like floral scents. I think it makes me feel like I am doused in perfume when I wear even one spritz on my wrists and neck, which for me is too much. I am used to Miss Dior Cherie, Black Fluid by Lady Gaga, Dolce, so I feel like this one just overpowers me and my pheromones just don't bring out the best in this scent. I gave it a 4 star because I am in love with other JC scents and am a big fan of their products. I know many friends that love this scent but it doesn't work for me unfortunately!

I have heard so many good things about DevaCurl products for curly hair and especially that it's gentle and moisturizing for curls. I have a curly wavy texture that I manipulate using certain products to keep it from frizzing up; this product line has so many followers to it that I wanted to root for it and give it a full 10, but the fact that it left my hair so greasy even from using only a dime sized amount was disappointing for me. The only thing I love about this product is the smell; it is absolutely delicious! It smells so exhilarating and fresh; Otherwise, I really only have negative things to say about this cream. This is a cream so it feels very thick and you pump it into your hands so be careful with how much you use. My hair is mid back length and using a dime sized amount seemed too great for me to distribute it all over my ends and just a tad through my mid shaft. Even using that amount was too much, after letting my hair air dry and putting it down it was super greasy and disgusting feeling. I immediately put it up and was looking forward to washing it. However, it did keep my hair from getting frizzy (probably because it was so weighed down by the product). I have experimented and tried using even less than a dime but still got the same results. I'm so disappointed with this product, and if this is any indication with how the rest of the DevaCurl line is, I'm not buying! Especially since this product is $24+! Get outta here! A 1 star rating is because it smells so darn good, otherwise, stay away!

I have been using Toni&Guy products for about six months now and am very pleased with all of the ones that I've tried. This is one of my favorites along with another but that is a hairspray and this is obviously a sea salt spray. I cannot say enough good things about this spray! The first thing I noticed about it is how amazing it smells!; I would say it definitely has a beachy clean smell to it but I can't exactly describe the notes in it because I do not know them. On days that I am going for a beach wave/tousled look I wash my hair normally and while it's still damp I spray this all over from root to ends and slightly scrunch my hair. I really don't like the feeling of wet hair so I always clip my hair up but love the way it dries and it gives my hair volume too. Anyways, when it is dry I let it down, flip my hair and shake my head a bit and put the pieces where I want them to lay. My hair has a beautiful wave to it that is touchable and not crunchy feeling like some hairstyling products make the hair feel and it's such a beautiful look. If I know I'll be outside I spray down my hair using some hairspray just to have a good protective barrier between my hair and the humidity but otherwise my hair will stay wavy and soft all day. The bottle does say this product creates texture and movement which I agree on both of those claims; often times products will work wonderfully but leave your hair hard and immovable. I have a big habit of flipping my hair back and forth throughout the day and love that I can do that while this product is in my hair without disturbing the look. Another reason I love this product is because I absolutely DO NOT wash my hair everyday; I wash my hair every other day and curly haired girls know-brushes create frizz! I comb through my hair with a comb or my fingers for 2nd day hair and spray this sea salt spray to revamp the wave. I also like braiding my hair after having sprayed it with this spray and letting it do its thing overnight, than the next morning I simply unbraid my hair and it's perfect curls (I am really trying to avoid heat during the summer months.) This is a pretty nice amount of product for about $10-$15 which I wouldn't say is bad. I am a fan of Toni&Guy products and love venturing to other products they carry and trying them also. If you're in the market for a new sea salt spray give this one a shot-it's amazing!
