I can remember when ChapStick came in regular and cherry, and what an innovation that was! Flash forward to a time where lip balm choices are plenty and taken very seriously by lippie-addicts like me. ChapStick has moved into new territory with their True Shimmer collection and they’re not just good– I thought the flavors I tried were DELICIOUS! Currently available in Tropical and Botanical Berry, they comfort my lips and apply a soft and subtle shimmer. Not too glittery or frosty which is why I tend to stay away from shimmery balms. If you’re a more natural gal who doesn’t like to wear a lot of color, these are for you! Or let’s say you’re like me and you just can’t make up your mind… these will likely be a welcome addition to your beauty stash. There’s no real color involved, just yummy flavor and sheen which I found nice. I remember the ChapStick of long ago feeling quite waxy on my lips but True Shimmers feel like the complete opposite, not waxy or sticky and they leave my lips soft and moisturized. I had a sneak peek at 2 of the new flavors that will be available in August– Peppermint Rush & Blended Fruit Sherbet and they were equally as delish. As a matter of fact, my fave is Blended Fruit Sherbet… soooo good!

I agree that spending money on an aerosol can of water sounds a little ridiculous! But I truly think the Vichy is different because it's volcanic water-- which has been clinically proven to have a cumulative effect on the skin. All of their products contain real vichy water from the source and I think that's the key difference here versus just spraying tap water or an Evian mist for instance. I enjoy it for setting makeup and for toning my skin when it's too dry for my usual toner. Sometimes, toner can feel tight on my skin depending on how my skin decides to act on any given day. This little can is a staple of many pro makeup artists.

I'm so glad I was turned on the eyes lips face! For the price, I can't believe how great the pigments are-- I've tried a few of their products so far and I've been so impressed! My fave in the cream shadows is Olive, it's beautiful and it looks superb if you layer the Olive eyeshadow duo on top of it. I'm so used to $1 makeup being like Barbie makeup that I didn't have faith at first, but I stand corrected!

a fabulous pre-shampoo treatment that also pulls double duty as a waterproof barrier to protect your hair while swimming. Softens and detangles hair, when pre-treating you won’t need a conditioner!

This oil-free creamy gel pampered my delicate eyes and removed my mascara and eye makeup without any tugging. Weak and damaged lashes are babied by silk proteins and cornflower water to ensure loving care!

This 45 day treatment helps dehydrated nails flourish and stimulates growth. My dry cuticles are cared for on both my hands and my toes. I noticed a difference in nail and cuticle health after just 14 days– I can’t wait to see what happens after 45! Very clean and convenient to use in a twist-up pen-like applicator.

Jason Active Sunblock SPF 40 is more of a sports formula and has a thicker consistency yet a higher SPF. Ideal for outdoor activities, use this to safeguard your body from the burn and protect against free radicals with vitamin C! If you’ve ever found yourself breaking out from traditional chemical sunscreens, give physical sunscreens a try.

Jason Facial Sunblock is great for even the most sensitive of skin and extremely lightweight. This is sunscreen that thinks it’s skincare with Evening Primrose Oil and Sea Kelp Extract to pamper your skin while protecting it from harmful UV rays daily. If you’ve ever found yourself breaking out from traditional chemical sunscreens, give physical sunscreens a try like this. The price is pretty nice too!

It’s a proven fact that us girls will sacrifice a few simple needs just to splurge on small indulgences like our favorite perfume! The good news is, Degree is making it possible to have it all. The new Degree Women Fine Fragrance Collection was developed with sophistication and affordability in mind with hand picked scents selected by fragrance expert, Ann Gottleib. All-day deodorants and coordinating body mists will ensure you smell fresh and clean! I’m sporting the Delicious Bliss Body Mist and antiperspirant/deodorant today, it’s a vivacious scent and I can’t believe a deodorant and inexpensive body mist smells this good!

I’m kind of a dunce when it comes to any eyeliner that’s not shaped like a pencil. Liquid liner? Forget it. I might as well grab a Sharpie and draw all over my eyelid. I was afraid with the shape of the new L’Oréal HIP Kohl Eyeliner I was going to have the same issue. Contraire, ma soeur! The tip applicator is just stiff enough not to make a mess and provides the control my wacky right hand lacks. If you’re all thumbs like me, or just not very skilled in the art of liquid liner this may be for you. I’ve got this in #803 Brown Kohl and it’s just dark enough, but not as harsh as black can be on the eye. It’s available in 6 colors but there’s a really hot iridescent gold color available too, I have to check that one out next!
