a stylist used this on my hair, and i wanted to try it at home. i used it for a few days and ended up taking it back. even a tiny amount made my hair feel too heavy. i have found other products to work better with my curly hair , and better when i straighten my hair.

Wow, this product is fabulous! I have thick, coarse, long, curly hair that gets dry and frizzy. This conditioner is very nourishing and makes my hair feel so soft, it calms the frizz, and protects against damage. I love Aveda's natural products and the scent of the "brilliant" line is one of my favorites- fresh and a little spicy.

I think that I love this tea so much, because I associate it with pampering myself. Every time I visit the Aveda salon I am greeted with a cup of this delicious tea (the scalp and hand massages with my haircut definitely add to the experience)! I was given this tea as a gift recently and was thrilled to recreated my experience at home. The tea is a delicious blend of calming herbs, and has a nice smooth taste. With so many great little indie tea houses in my town that sell amazing loose leaf blends, I have a difficult time justifying the price per pound of this tea, so for me this is a special treat at the salon. Taste=10/10, Price=6/10

This Rimmel eyeliner is a great deal for a quality product. I have always preferred eyeliners that do not require a separate sharpener. The eyeliner is in a twist tube, and it has a tiny sharpener built into the bottom of the tube. Sometimes I apply this with a dull tip and smudge it for a smoky look, and other times I use an ultra sharp tip for really defined eyes. It is easy to use, goes on soft and smooth, and stays on all day.

Neutrogena Instant Bronze Sunless Tanner and Bronzer in One for the Face
Not friendly for sensitive faces...
I am usually quite please with Neutrogena's products, but this one was a disappointment for me. First of all, the application was not very smooth, since it was tinted it looked a little streaky. Second, I didn't like the smell, and since it was so close to my nose it bothered me. Third it really clogged my pores! I used this for a week and really broke out, and have each time I have tried it since then. I ended up finishing my tube on my body, not my face. I have had more luck with other Neutrogena tanning products, but the facial bronzing self tanner is not for me.

Victoria's Secret Secret Garden Collection Refreshing Body Mist
Vanilla Lace Body Mist makes you smell good enough to eat!
YUM! I have used this fragrance for nearly 15 years now, and I love it just as much as ever. The scent is soft, sexy, and sweet. It smells delicious on its own, but is also a great scent for layering with other scents. I often wear this with other VS garden scents or Body By Victoria-another favorite scent. The mist is refreshing to spray on just out of the shower, or as a convenient little pick me up during the day without the mess of a lotion. I usually buy 6 of the same scent at once when VS has sales on their garden products making a full sized bottle as inexpensive as $5-$6! I always keep a bottle in my gym bag, at my desk at work, and I even use the spray as an air freshener. Even though this is technically not a perfume, it has amazing staying power. Every guy that I have dated has always gushed about how good I always smell, and that's enough reason for me to stick with this scent!

Maybelline New York Define-a-Lash Lengthening Washable Mascara
lashes that are sure to attract attention
The very first mascara I ever used was Maybelline Great Lash, and Maybelline still remains my favorite mascara brand by far. I picked up this mascara when it was first introduced, because I was anxious to test out a new formula and brush. (Thankfully, Maybelline is such a steal, that I wasn't really taking a risk.) The first week I was wearing it I had a girlfriend as me if I was wearing false eyelashes, because they looked so long! Since then I have gotten several more comments and compliments on my lashes. My mom even asked me what I was using, because she thought my eyelashes looked so long and full, and she asked me to pick up a tube for her. Another friend asked me what I used, because my mascara never looks smudged or runs even after we work out together. The "blackest black" color really makes my eyes pop! I love the length that this mascara gives me without the clumping or flaking that some mascaras will do. This is especially important since I wear contacts and have fairly sensitive eyes. For now this is my FAVORITE mascara...until Maybelline comes up with another great formula!
