your man won't mind sharing this lotion with you! i first bought this at a boutique when the owner said that this scent was just as popular with the men as it was the women. i thought my boyfriend needed a lotion that didn't smell like flowers or cookies. the scent is truly unique...not girly, but not completely manly. i like wearing this scent a lot in the spring time, because it is fresh and has an outdoorsy quality. the lotion itself is almost velvety and rich. it smooths on nicely and is very hydrating.

Aveeno Intense Relief Medicated Therapy
intense moisturizing for the dead of winter and the middle of summer!
this lip balm really lives up to it's name...it is instantly soothing on chapped and peeling lips. i like to wear this under my lip gloss, especially in the winter to provide extra protection and to smooth my dry lips. i do not feel like i have to continuously reapply, like i do with other lip balms to make my lips feel moisturized.

this shampoo reminds me a lot of aveda products at half the price! avalon shampoo comes in a lot of fresh, natural smelling scents that are amazing! the ingredients are natural or organic, which is good for the earth and gentle on my hair and scalp. i recommend checking out the formulations to find just the right one for your hair!

for starters i have naturally curly, coarse, thick hair. on top of that i get it highlighted on a regular basis and often straighten my hair. my hair is long and gets dry and damaged. this shampoo leaves my hair feeling soft, and does not give it that "squeaky clean" feeling of being stripped of all moisture. it's a great value for a (better than salon) great shampoo.

when i bought this i was looking for something that would add luster to my hair and protect it against heat damage from my straightening iron. i feel like this added weight to my hair making it seem dull. it did not leave my hair feeling soft and conditioned. just heavy.

i bought this product at the same time as one of my girlfriends. i thought the foam might give a less-messy tan. i did not like it at all! because it wasn't a lotion my skin didn't feel moisturized after using it, and the blending was difficult. my tans ended up looking blotchy, and my skin still smelled weird when it dried, like other tanners. my friend said that she didn't like the color on her skin either. i actually tossed this in the trash after several disappointing uses (when i rarely do with products...i usually give them to a friend or keep 'em around as emergency backups)!

this mascara does deliver on it's promise to give thick lashes in a flash. the only complaint i have is that the formula seems to thicken up quicker than most, making it clumpy. i have to replace this more often that other maybelline mascaras, but they are such a great price, that it's not really a big deal to me.

Vichy Laboratories NeOvadiol Intensive Densifying Care
a rich luxe cream for a little skincare splurge...
I first saw Vichy recommended by Marie Claire magazine, and decided to try it. The cream has an ultra rich feel, pleasant scent and it smooths on nicely, but rests on my skin more than soaking into it. Wearing it during the day is out of the question as it makes my t-zone look greasy by midday. For this reason, it works best as a night cream. Now I just dab a little under my eyes before bed, and use my favorite cream for the rest of my face. I have not noticed significant changes in lines or sagging, but I do wake with soft smooth looking skin. i will keep using it in my eye area, but it is too rich of a formula for my entire face to be used on a nightly basis. Overall, I think that this would be best for women with drier skin who don't mind a small splurge- the price, about $40, seems very comparable to similar products. (I actually prefer Avalon Organic's Lavender Ultimate Moisturizer which has the same luxe texture without the heavy feel on my face, and is less than half the price! )

Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Moisturizer
feels cool after a day in the sun and has a yummy tropical fresh scent!
the lime coolada moisturizer is great! i spent a week on vacation last summer basking in the sun. i slathered this on after my skin had been exposed to 105 degree temperatures, chlorinated pool water, and lots of tanning...all harsh and drying elements. my skin felt so soft, smelled delicious, and my tan didn't peel at all! this is moisturized, but not greasy. i ended up using this product throughout the winter to keep my legs soft and smooth.

Tom's of Maine Natural Long-Lasting Deodorant Roll-On
effective natural product, but irritating for sensitive skin
i have used both tom's deoderants- the stick and the roll-on for several years now. i feel better about using products that do not take a lot of chemicals to produce, and about not slathering them in my pits! tom's updated their formula's a few years ago, along with new packaging, and they are effective at keeping me smelling fresh all day, but they irritate the skin under my arms making it red and itchy (especially the stick). tom's does have a nice variety of scents that are light and fresh and won't interfere with the smell of your perfumes or lotions. i still have this floating around my gym bag, but i can't use it every day. there are other products out there that are natural and gentle.
