After a couple of weeks of use, I haven't noticed that my dark circles are lighter, but I will continue to buy this. This eye cream is much cheaper than other non-drug store creams, and it is one of the only ones that doesn't sting my delicate eye area. You can use it night or day, but I especially love it for the day because it absorbs quickly and completely, paving the way for flawless eye makeup application.

Buffy is the most effective weapon against my very dry skin. When you use it, you can feel all the little scrubby bits getting rid of dry, itchy skin. Plus it smells amazing! To make it last longer, I cut it into four pieces (I purchase the large size Buffy) and stash three of the pieces in the fridge. The other one I keep outside of the shower on a soap storer so it can drain and fully dry between uses. I'm also careful to keep it out of the stream of water when I use it. It's a hassle, but my skin looks and feels gorgeous, even my boyfriend, who never notices anything, noticed my skin's improved texture after the first time I used Buffy.

I haven't noticed any skin improvement, I just like the way this feels. My poor face is plagued with rosacea, extremely dry cheeks, and an oily but peeling nose. Enter Boscia's Balancing Facial Tonic to save the day. It doesn't reduce my redness as Boscia claims it will (only prescription medicine does that), but a blast of this feels so refreshing. I use it between cleansing and moisturizing and sometimes as a mid-day refresher.

LUSH's claims that Retread is "triple strength" aren't true, but that doesn't stop it from being a great conditioner. The tub packaging is annoying (scooping it out without getting water in it while standing in a narrow shower stall is now easy feat, but it smells like violets and oranges and adds shine, softness, and body to my fine hair. I switched to Retread from a Pureology conditioner and my hair looks a lot better.

I always keep a bottle of this at my desk; it's the only antidote against my office's moisture-zapping soap. It smells like fresh lemons and keeps my hands moist for hours. Like most Aveda products, Hand Relief is concentrated, so all you need a pea-sized dollop, making that $20 price tag a little easier to bear.

Sure it's expensive, but a little goes a long way, making it surprisingly cost-effective. When I wear my wavy hair curly I swirl misbehaving curls around a finger lightly coated with this product to give the curl shape. When I wear my hair straight, I emulsify it between my palms and run it through my hair, concentrating on the ends for a piece-y look that stays put. I wish it was a bit better at controling flyaways so I could use it on my crown when I wear ponytails. Also disappointing was that when I cut my hair into a pixie, it didn't offer the texture I needed. Smells great!

This gel smells like a creamsicle and is stocked with things that are good for your hair: aloe, protein, and silk, to name a few. Even if you couldn't care less about the environmental politics behind the john masters organics brand, you will love the way this gel works. I slide it through my pixie cut to get separation, hold, and shine without any flakes or crunchiness. It keeps my hair silky soft all day. Even when I indulge in my bad habit of rubbing my hair to get through a stressful period at work, I can just brush it back in place and still be frizz-free. I wish it offered more texture. This gel can be hard to find, but the john masters organics website offers free shipping on all purchases.

This brush is chinchilla-soft. I love that it picks up and distributes the perfect amount of blush, so none of my wildly expensive Nars blush gets wasted. It's a bit expensive for a Target brush, but much cheaper than brushes of equal or lesser quality from prestige brands.

I love two things about this dye: 1) you only have to leave it in for ten minutes and 2) the comb. I have a short pixie cut, so the comb really was the fastest, cleanest way to distribute the dye through my hair. People with long or thick hair may find that the comb slows them down. As for the actual product, it's just your average drug store dye. It stings when you put it on, the color doesn't last long, and it kills your hair.

I was disappointed in the shampoo, which I thought was too pricey for such an average product, but after my stylist rubbed some of this conditioner into my scalp and I felt the tingly goodness, I had to have it. Luckily, I have super short hair so a sample-size bottle lasts me forever. All in all, however, this is nothing particularly special. I don't notice any extra hydration or color retention. I do like how light it is, because it allows my fine hair to have some volume.
