After reading reviews for this here and on MUA, it seems that everyone else must have had better luck with this product than me. Makes me wonder how the size of my pores compare to theirs. This product didn't help hide my largish pores on my nose and cheeks any better than a light coverage foundation would. After putting it on, I couldn't tell much of a difference. It was a bit of a disappointment. I'll never have porcelain looking skin! It had a really nice texture to it though. Felt nice on my skin and didn't break me out.

I've used Lush balms on and off for the past 5 years and have tried several different types. Honey Trap is one of my favorites, one that I have used up several times and have repurchased. It's got a nice scent, is moisturizing and is in that nice happy medium range of being neither too firm nor too glossy. It's something I'm always glad to have in my makeup kit. I'm also rather fond of Lip Service. This balm can be a bit difficult to use if it hasn't been warmed up a bit (keeping it in your pocket and letting your body heat warm it will do the trick) as the consistency of this can be pretty firm due to its cocoa butter content. This is incredibly moisturizing, good for seriously dry lips, but also good for dry patches elsewhere on the body. It doesn't seem to have much wax in it though so it feels like it "goes away" fairly quickly since it sinks it fairly well. That said, I've also tried Whipstick and Lite Lip balm and wasn't a fan of either. For a "chocolate" lipbalm, I thought Whipstick tasted terrible, the smell wasn't that great and the texture felt sort of grainy. Lite Lip was a little too light for me and there was something about the texture that felt off to me. Lastly, all of their balms come in tin pots which I'm not really crazy about. They dint up easily and I prefer my lip balms in tubes or sticks. Overall I feel Lush lip balms are worth checking out, but as there are several different formulas, don't be discouraged if the first one you try isn't for you.

Not HG material, but this is the mascara I often find myself repurchasing. I have several mascaras from higher end brands but none of them are waterproof (my eyes water a bunch, so I kind of need it) so I don't use those as often. Full & Soft can do a great job on my lashes to both lengthen and thicken, but it takes a bit more work than it does with some of the higher end mascaras. Still I'm pretty pleased with the results most days and can get pretty dramatic results if I try. It builds well and I love the brush. It isn't good enough to keep me from straying to try other brands (I'm not if anything *could* be that good!), but it's a great everyday mascara.

L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Color Truth Cream Eyeliner
Great Colors, Mediocre Consistency
I'm a fan of gel and cream liners, so when I saw these hit the drugstores last summer I quickly snapped them up. The colors were gorgeous, have great pigmentation and the wear was on par with other liners of this type that I'd tried (that is to say, pretty good. Could last all day with minimal-to-no smudging), but I found the application and texture of these to be inferior to MAC's fluidlines which I'm more accustomed to. The product was sort of dry and clay-like in the pot and it was a little hard to pick up much product with one of the eyeliner brushes I already owned. The eyeliner brush it comes with picked up product well, but I found this brush to be too stiff and scratchy to feel comfortable using it on the eye area. Also, when I tried applying it to the waterline of the eye (which I know is frowned upon by some, but I do it with all of my MAC liners), it felt a lot grainier and felt more uncomfortable than any other eyeliner I've tried. Also, since this is a drier product it didn't glide on as quickly for me as some of my other cream liners and thus took longer to do my eyes than it usually does. So overall, I wasn't incredibly impressed. I wanted to love them because the colors (especially the teal!) were gorgeous, but the product felt a little cheap. And while it's true that this product is cheaper than its competitors, it's really not that cheap for a drug store eyeliner (I think I got mine for $11-12) and thus not really worth it to me. I'd rather pay the extra money and buy one of the higher end brand's versions of this.

I love these things! I've been using them since MAC brought them out a few years ago. They come in a lot of great colors (as opposed to similar products from other lines that only have a few), last all day, and are easy to apply. They have a good consistency right out of the pot too in that they're neither too wet or too dry. My only qualm is that some shades are more pigmented than others, and while with most shades you can get a nice opaque line in just one swipe, there are some that take a little more work to get the color pay off you want. I've tried gel liners from Stila, Bobbi Brown and L'Oreal's HiP lines and I can say with all certainty that this is by far the best one of the bunch. I'll keep buying them for as long as they keep making them.

Great product! Makes most nail polishes, both cheap and expensive hold firm on my nails from 5-10 days. After 2-3 days I do see some minor (like < 1mm in size) wearing at the tips, but unlike with every other base/topcoat combo I've tried, that wearing never seems to contribute to larger chips or peeling. With this I can usually make a manicure last a week and still look decent when I take it off. Any time I get lazy and skip using this product I regret having done so the very next day. One drawback I noticed is that after a few months of weekly usage, some of my nails (not polish, *nail*) started peeling. It was a bit distressing at first, but I tried putting on a nail strengthener underneath Stickey and that seems to fix it. The extra layer between my nail and Stickey, thankfully, doesn't weaken Stickey's effectiveness any, so I'm not marking down the product by much. Obviously, I'd prefer a basecoat that did Stickey's job without the cost to my nails, but I can't find anything that works as well as it does, so I'm inclined to believe that's just the price you have to pay to keep a manicure looking nice for so long!
