I must admit that I bought this cleanser and continue to use it because of its warming effect. Sure it's gimmicky, but it's kind of relaxing and I enjoy it as I'm washing off my makeup at night. It does a pretty good job cleaning all of the makeup and daily grime off my face and its light grittiness helps keep my skin smooth and exfoliated but I'm not particularly sold on its anti-blackhead claims. It seems to do no better or no worse than other cleansers in terms of getting stuff out of my pores. The only way I think it might be helpful is that it has some gentle exfoliating action, but I use another scrub anyway (I need something stronger around my nose) so I don't think it's doing much for my pores. It's just a decent cleanser.

While Biore poor strips does pull some stuff out of my pores, it doesn't go deep enough for me to really see a difference anywhere but on the strip. Also, the design just doesn't fit my nose very well, so no matter how much or how little water I use, there are areas where it just won't stick, further limiting its effectiveness for me. It may get out some oil or some really prominent blackheads, but it can't replace or match actually going to a professional and getting your pores degunked especially if you're plagued with large pores.

I must admit, my primary reason for using this conditioner is its lovely soft, sweet fragrance. I have normal hair that isn't in particular need of hydration, but I picked this up because Target had it available in a travel size and I was getting ready to go on vacation. I wasn't expecting to have it replace my usual conditioner after the trip was over as I thought a hydrating conditioner might be a bit too heavy for my very fine hair, but by the time I came home I was in love with it. It's really thick and creamy, but it doesn't weigh down my hair. It just adds shine and softness while helping me keep my long hair manageable and tangle free. I just love the feel of it and the smell, so I keep using it!

Pretty good anti-dandruff shampoo. Not the best or fastest acting that I've tried, but it does a good job while not smelling unpleasant. I like my hair products to smell good, and most anti-dandruff shampoos smell unappealing at best or utterly vile at worst. But not this stuff! It smells just as lovely as you'd expect a Herbal Essences Shampoo to smell. It also does a good job of cleaning your hair without stripping it too harshly and leaves it nice and shiny. My only real complaint is that it can be difficult to find. A lot of stores that nearly everything else from the HE line still won't have this in stock which is really annoying. I don't understand why it'd be harder to find than their other formulas. I know it's newer than others, but it's not really new anymore so you'd think that wouldn't matter. Still, it's worth tracking down, especially if you find the scents of other anti-dandruff shampoos on the market unappealing.

Not a completely awful mascara, but for the price I found it completely underwhelming. It claims to both lengthen and thicken, but it didn't do much of either on my lashes. Made them a bit longer than they are naturally, but no more so than any other mascara I've tried. There was no noticeable difference in volume after using this, which is a deal breaker for me as I have sparse lashes. I didn't experience any clumping, and it didn't smudge or flake at all which is nice, but overall I thought it definitely underperformed for a high-priced (by drugstore standards) mascara. I also didn't really care for the removal process. It wasn't difficult, but the pulling motions kept me worrying that I was going to pull lashes out by accident. I couldn't recommend this mascara and definitely wouldn't repurchase.

I was a Veganese use for several years and enjoyed what it did for my hair, but the price has been inflated much higher than I can justify paying. My hair is pretty low maintenance. It's in great condition, is soft and has good shine on its own, so really the only things I need from a conditioner are that it can help detangle and be lightweight enough to not weigh down my very fine volume-challenged hair. This stuff fit the bill. It helped keep my hair soft and tanglefree and mildly bouncy. I didn't care much that it was Vegan, but the natural ingredients were certainly attractive. Sadly, the conditioner is now twice as expensive than I paid for it 5-6 years ago and given how low maintenance my hair is, I can't justify paying 3-4 times as much for a bottle of Veganese than I would for another conditioner. So sadly I had to stop using this. It'd be a good conditioner for someone who really wanted a Vegan conditioner and had fairly normal hair, but at the current price point I'd suggest shopping around first. It's my personal opinion that Lush has set prices beyond what much of their line is worth. A real shame, since they used to be my go to place for hair and skincare.

I've used this product in brun, marron and rouge a few times and have been thoroughly pleased with the results. I have dark auburn hair naturally, but like to use rouge to intensify the red in my hair some and give it great shine. Caca marron performs this task beautifully. After using it, my hair has a great gloss for weeks that I've never been able to match using any other product and the red tint is just what I want. On me at least, it's subtle sort of "my natural color but better" but I'm sure that those results would vary greatly depending on your hair color and how long you leave it on your hair. I typically plaster mine on and then put my hair under a shower cap and leave it for 2-3 hours. The results always leave people commenting that they can't tell what it is I did to my hair, but it sure looks awesome. :D I can't compare this to other hennas as this is the only one I've ever used. I'm not sure if this is easier or more difficult to use than other hennas, I only know it's a lot messier than dyes I've bought from drugstores and beauty supply stores. When it's mixed properly the consistency is about that of brownie batter and it just feels gross on my scalp, and considering that I always leave it on for at least an hour longer, if not two, than I would a synthetic dye that unpleasantness is compounded. I also have a difficult time rinsing all of it out. I normally still find bits of it in my scalp a few days after I henna my hair. It smells gross too, though not intolerably so. Just sort of dirty smelling. Also, I find its solid form to be a bit tricky to mix with. I first started using Lush henna way back when they sold in as a powder and not as a block, and I thought that was much easier to manage. I've taken to grating my block up with a cheese grater to correct this but that takes an annoying amount of time so hennaing my hair can feel like a major chore in ways that dying with commercial brands doesn't. That said though, I do feel the results are worth it. Apart from the lovely color and amazing shine, my hair feels like it has more body and is in better condition post-henna than it did before. So the results are definitely worth it, it just takes a big effort.

I've been a Lush customer on and off for nearly ten years and due to the huge increases in their prices that has occurred over time, I've cut back a lot on what items from this company I consider good buys. Godiva shampoo bar is one of the few that has made that cut. It smells awesome and has enough moisturizing properties to it that it can serve as a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner in a pinch. It's not enough for me to drop a separate conditioner entirely as I have long hair that's prone to tangles, so I do feel that I need to keep a separate conditioner on hand for when my hair's getting messy. But it's conditioning enough to where I feel safe keeping this in my travel bag and leaving my clunky bottle of conditioner at home! I can't say that it does wonderful things to my hair in terms of its health or shine as my hair is in good condition anyway, but I can say that it doesn't weigh down my superfine hair which is a plus as my hair is volume challenged. The best thing about this shampoo though is the benefits of its solid state. First, so long as you keep your shampoo out of damp areas between showers this little bar can last you a long time so that helps justify the price. (However, if you leave it where it'll be exposed to water it may melt away!) It's also a great shampoo/conditioner to carry in your gym bag or other travel bag as there's no worry about bottles leaking on you. It's also really easy to use once you get the hang of it. Just make sure to really saturate your hair with water and then rub it on your head until a lather starts to build. Then scrub! It bubbles up pretty easily so you shouldn't need to put in much effort.

These eye shadows are fabulous, but never seem to get talked about. I'll never understand why They have a wonderfully soft texture that makes them easy to apply and to blend. They're very pigmented, last all day long and many of them have a beautiful lightly sparkled (but not glittery!) finish that's irresistible. There's also a good blend of good safe colors and more dramatic shades in their line. The packaging is pretty cute too. My only complaint is that I wish they'd expand as I'd like to see more from them. Seriously, these shadows are as nice as any out there on the market. Easily as nice as MAC or Urban Decay. Also, the Shady Lady Eyeshadow Palette they have available through Sephora is an amazing value for anyone who wants to give this brand a try. For $38 you get 9 nearly full sized shadows! I checked the weight listed on the packaging is 17grams which works out to be 1 .8 grams per shadow. To give you an idea of how big that is, while that's a bit smaller than the amount you get when you buy TheBalm shadows individually MAC's and Urban Decay's regular eye shadows are about 1 .5 grams. So for less than you'd pay for 3 eye shadows of either of the aforementioned brands, you can get 9 of comparable size and quality from TheBalm. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me!

This liner can't be beat in terms of staying power. This is the kind of liner you can go to bed with and wake up the next morning with it still being completely in place. It can stay on for days, and sometimes can take quite a bit of work to get off. It also comes in some pretty awesome colors that are vibrant and have fun finishes. However, the learning curve for these can be a bit steep. Liquid liner is an application challenge for a lot of people and this liner is no exception. If anything I find it even harder to work with as its fast-setting budge proof formula makes fixing goofs an arduous task. I've also found that it's really tough to apply it to the lower lashline as it likes to get on the lower lashes and stick them together. I haven't found a way to make it work down there which is a shame, as it's under my eye that I need such a long-wearing liner the most. The liner on top stays put no matter what I use, but my lower lashline can often turn even the best gel liners into a mess by the afternoon. That's very aggravating.
