These come in great colors and have a pretty shimmery finish, but unfortunately most of them are far too sheer for my taste. My lips are pale and unfortunately a lot of sheer glosses show up clear on me which bug me as I tend to buy lipglosses for color and not for shine. These are halfway decent if I want to layer them over a stain or lipstick, but otherwise they're pretty useless for me.

I really wanted to love these. In the tube, they look gorgeous but on my lips I'm not as impressed. Sure they're nice and sparkly, but they don't have much pigment to them. l don't like lipglosses that look one color in the tube and then show up all but colorless on my lips. The sparkle showed up, but not the color of the gloss it was suspended in. That doesn't work for me at all as I have very pale lips and the reason I wear lipstick and gloss is to give me enough color so that I don't look all washed out. This gloss doesn't help me in that respect at all, though I suppose I can get use out of it by layering it atop something else. The one thing that did impress me though was the texture. I normally avoid glittery lip products because I find the feel of glitter particles on my lips to be annoying. Dazzleglasses are of a thick enough consistency to where I can't feel the glitter on my lips. They feel fab on and smell great so they have that going for them. I just wish their base had more pigment.

I have mixed results with cream eye shadows. On one hand, cream shadows can deliver a level of vibrancy and sheen that powders can't match. But on the other, they can often be difficult to work with and/or lead to premature creasing as the oils from your skin mix with the shadow. So when I saw how creamy these paint pots were in comparison to MAC's original paints I was skeptical. Creaminess usual leads to my makeup ending up as an oil slick by the end of the day. But not with these! They go on thick and creamy, but dry to a powdery finish that stays put all day long. The fleshtone shades like Painterly work very well as bases for other shadows. They keep your shadows in place and also helps them apply more vibrantly. It's the more colorful ones that really make me excited about this product though. Particularly some of the frosty and metallic ones, as they produce a glam finish that I couldn't hope to achieve with powder shadow. Delft, a beautiful teal, is my particular favorite. These shadows work beautifully both as shadows and liners, and the amount of product you get is pretty generous for the price tag so these are a great value. Also, just as a tip, I've found these tend to apply best using brushes with firm synthetic bristles. Brushes made for concealer or lipstick work great.

Lovely brush. Good for applying color to the lid or highlighting the browbone. It's soft and fluffy, but the bristles are concentrated enough to where it can apply a concentrated amount of color to the lid without too much work. This would be a good starter brush for anyone who is wading into the world of high-end, quality brushes. It's very well made and holds up for years.

I bought this several years ago when I was looking for a brush to apply shadow precisely to the crease. With it's small head and pointy end, it was great for that task, but over time I've found it's good for much more! The #219 is lovely for smudging pencil liner, applying shadow beneath my lower lashes for a smoky look, and even applying cream and gel liners if I want something more soft and precise than my usual eyeliner brushes. Really this brush is good for any task where you would want to apply a lot of color to a small concentrated area. This brush may not be necessary for every makeup kit, but it's more than earned its place in mine.

Great brush. I love brushes made out of white goat hair. Not only are they luxuriously soft, they pick up and deposit color really well. The bristles in this brush are soft but firm and very densely packed. The head is a nice size for applying color to the lid. This is a pretty good choice for anyone looking for a good, basic eye shadow brush. It isn't cheap, but MAC brushes are of wonderful quality and will last you for years. And using good quality brushes really makes a difference in your makeup. They're worth the investment.

Good quality nail lacquer that's easy to find online for under $4 a pop! While pigmentation can vary from color to color, for the most part China Glaze polishes are true to the bottle color in 2-3 coats and apply nice and easy. They wear well too, which is a must for me in a polish because I typically keep the same manicure for 5-7 days. Usually when I take my polish off after a week, my China Glaze painted nails still look presentable and chip free, There'll be some tipwear to be sure, but nothing too striking and no more than I'd expect from a week of wear. What really makes this brand stand out though is that it regularly releases fun, funky colors in a variety of finishes. As someone who rarely reaches for a red, pink, nudes or wine colored polishes, a brand that regularly releases bright greens, blues, teals and greens is going to win my heart! China Glaze has also put out a lot of really great holographic polishes (like with their Kaleidoscope and OMG! collections) and ones with pretty unique glass like sparkles that have been a hit with a lot of nail polish devotees. I know I'm always looking forward to their next release. They seldom disappoint!

I love this brand! They have a huge color catalogue that has polishes to appeal to any taste. There's plenty of nice sheers and nude shades for girls who want really classy, but subtle nails. Plenty of great reds and burgundies for ladies who like vampy hues, and plenty of funky, trendy shades for people like me who prefer blues and greens over more traditional nail color choices. What I really like too is that unlike with some brands, their seasonal collections continue to be available on their websites long after newer stuff has come along so if you're new to the line you don't have to scour ebay for past hits. Their prices are pretty reasonable too, and fairly often you can get some sort of discount or special offer code if you give them your email address. The formula of these is pretty good too. A little thicker than OPI or China Glaze, but they're no harder to apply than any other brand that's quit using "the big three" and a Zoya manicure can last me through an entire week if I'm willing to tolerate tip wear. Apart from a little wearing at the tips on Day 3 or 4, I generally can get through the week wearing a Zoya polish without any chipping or peeling. And that's all I can ask! My only regret with this brand is that it's more difficult for me to find in person than other brands. As much as I love to look at swatches of new colors online, I like to be able to see polishes in person so I can have a better idea how they'll look against my skin tone before I buy. I rarely have that opportunity with Zoya. That's a very minor peeve though as I'm seldom disappointed with the Zoya polishes I buy online without seeing them first.

I love nail polish and own dozens of shades, but I generally stay away from expensive brands as I rarely feel that they're worth the extra expense. More often than not, the polish really isn't of a better quality than lower priced salon brands like Essie, OPI or China Glaze yet it costs 2-3 times as much (or more if I buy them at a discounted price). I must grudgingly say that that is not the case with Rescue Beauty Lounge! When I put in an order for a bottle of Recycle (a dark forest green creme), I was kind of hoping I wouldn't be impressed by the formula. I spend enough money on cheap and mid-priced nail polishes already without developing a taste for expensive brands. But I was floored by how great this polish was. The color was gorgeous of course, but I was expecting that. What I wasn't expecting was how nicely pigmented it would be (nearly opaque in one coat, perfect in two!) and how divinely easy it'd be to apply. For some reason, I generally have a hard time applying cream polishes. It doesn't what brand they are, they just don't apply as evenly and smoothly on my nails as frosts and shimmers do even if I use a ridge filling base. But with this brand it's no trouble, it went on like a dream! I was stunned! The wear time was pretty good too. My nails are always painted, but I only have time to change polishes once a week so it's important to me that with the help of a good base and top coat my nails can still look presentable even after 6 days of wear. This polish didn't disappoint me in this area either. While I did experience some inevitable tip wear after a few days, there wasn't any chipping or peeling. I could have worn it for at least another two days and have been fine. So despite the price, I definitely feel these polishes are a good buy. Fortunately for my wallet, their color range doesn't appeal to me as strongly as some of the cheaper brands (I tend to wear a lot of greens, blues and teals) because even with as high quality as this polish, I think the price is a bit inflated. But if I was in the market for a good classy staple, I'd definitely check here. Especially if I was looking for one with a cream finish!

I know Benetint has a lot of fans so it's clearly good for some, but rather than giving my lips a kiss of natural looking color, it turns them a bright fuschia that looks horribly garish. Pity, because it lasts a long time which is what I'd want in a stain. If these every came out in a color that worked better on me, I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat.
