I love Elizabeth Arden and I have so much respect and admiration for her and her skin care products, so I decided to give this a try. I have to say, it was really disappointing. You do get quite a lot of product for the price, but the scent is something so outdated that not even my grandma would wear it. I opened the cap and sniffed the nozzle, and the first thought that came to mind was a hotel in the 1800s with too many velvet love seats accumulating dust. It's overwhelmingly strong, so it lasts all day, but after the first few minutes or when you realize how outdated and old this smells, it's nearly impossible to get it off without a thorough shower or a good amount of scrubbing. The scent is overly floral, to the point that it was suffocating. I think some kinds of florals were the only thing in the perfume. This was such a disappointment to me because of the greatness of other Elizabeth Arden products and the packaging and description looked so promising.

The bottle looks exactly like the bottle of insect-killing spray I have under the kitchen sink, and it smells like it, too. So unless you want every bug within a ten-mile radius to fall on their backs dead, don't wear this. Just don't. Not only is the bottle horrendously hideous, the scent smells like the pine tree air freshners on John Deer mowing tractors, only a hundred times stronger and a million times overpriced. The smell is very chemical-y as well, and it was actually very irritating to my nose. I love other LUSH products, but this one is a big fat flop. Save your money, your nose, and other people's noses, and stay away from this.

I don't have any acne or many things I want to cover up in my skin, so my friend recommended this for me. It's the first BB cream I've ever tried, so I don't quite know how it measures up to other brands' products. However, I did like this, the ideas behind this are really good, the execution could just be improved. I have this Garnier BB in Light/Medium, the lightest color, because I have a light, olive skin tone. But even Garnier's lightest was pretty dark, so I had to spread the product out a lot in order not to have a face that looked like Snooki and a body that looked like Snow White. Besides that, the pigmentation is sheer, which is perfect for my skin because I don't have much to hide, and it wasn't greasy for my dry and combination skin. I can understand, though, if some might not like this if they're looking for something with a bit more coverage. The tube is huge and lasts forever (I've had mine for a year now, and that's wearing it about three to four times a week), making it a good value for about twelve to fifteen dollars a tube. The scent is absolutely amazing, like an expensive, fresh perfume (as are all Garnier product) without being irritating, and the formula is silky. It can be streaky because of how thick the formula is, so I recommend using a foundation brush to apply it, or just to be very precise and careful and experienced if you apply with your fingers. After I got the hang of getting it just right, the BB cream lasts all day, and it gives me a dewy glow. Overall, I like this BB cream and how it makes my face look natural and dewy. However, it doesn't do any miracles, wrinkles and dark spots won't vanish. For the price though, if you're curious, it's worth a try.

I have been using Aveeno's lotion since I was three years old, and it has never failed to impress me. Even though I have been searching and searching for the best mascara, lip gloss, facial cleanser, etc., I have never thought to replace this lotion because it works so well. $10 may seem expensive compared to other lotions, but one of these bottles lasts forever, and there is honestly no turning back to any other lotion after using Aveeno because after that, everything else seems inferior and overpriced. Aveeno's lotion is super moisturizing (I've lived in a desert all my life, I know good moisture when I feel it) without being greasy, and it absorbs amazingly, so it's quick but it still provides lasting moisture. It's thicker, but extremely spreadable and silky, and on top of making my skin smooth and supple, it also alleviates itching, which is a nice touch. Another plus is that since Aveeno is unscented (there are scented versions, however), it's great for layering under perfume, which makes the scent last longer. Nothing works better, there is no way I can describe the amazingness without shoving a bottle of this in your face.

Before I start, just know that I am one of the least picky people when it comes to top coats. I can make virtually every top coat work for me. This one, thank you very much, Sally Hansen, was the first one that I just absolute cannot stand. I am so glad that this was only about $3 for me, because it is just not worth it. First, even before the formula proved to be trouble, the brush is awful. It's a bit flatter, so instead of being round, it's more like an oval shape. This wasn't the problem, though, the problem was that the brush was so long, that there was very little to no control. It made things very messy. But if I thought that was bad, I was in for a huge (unpleasant) surprise. When I first started this top coat, it wasn't all that bad. The formula 's consistency was decent, and the finish was very, very shiny. However, it only lasted about three days before cracks, bubbles, and chipping started showing, wrecking the manicure. The drying time was okay, probably around five minutes. Now that I'm a little past halfway through the bottle, the formula has gotten unworkably goopy. It reminds me of liquid cement, and not in the good way. I've tried nail polish thinner, but it only makes things better for one use, which is a total waste. When I use the (horrible) brush to try to get this stuff out of the bottle and onto my nails, it has a strand of polish trailing behind it, it's so goopy. These "polish spiderwebs" completely ruin the my hard work painting my nails with weird imprints. Then, now that the polish is halfway gone, it chips in one day! The cracks show up, the polish chips away, and bubbles form in the parts that haven't been destroyed. Absolutely atrocious. Overall, save money, avoid this top coat. There are much better options even in the $1.99 nail polish arena, or spend a bit more for something good. This polish is going right into the trash for me.

Other reviewers are right on target when they say that the formula for Sinful Colors' nail polishes are a hit or a miss. I own several bottle of this, and the hits, such as a fire-engine red called GoGo Girl, performs better than some of my more expensive Essie, OPI, or China Glaze polishes! The color was opaque in ONE COAT, which rarely happens for me, because I am a total perfectionist when it comes to consistent, thorough pigmentation and proper color intensity. Also, the formula's consistency was just perfect. Liquid-y enough to spread evenly over the nail in one coat, but not so liquid-y that it would run everywhere or take forever to dry. (Speaking of which, the drying time was only about five to seven minutes.) The finish, without a top coat, is already exceptionally shiny, and I have gotten up to 10 days of wear with Sinful Colors' nail polishes with minimal chipping, and my hands work hard 24/7. This is amazing for only $1.99 for a bottle the same size as an $8 OPI. The brush is also small, but it offers good control and doesn't streak the polish if it's handled right. However, it's impossible to tell whether the formula is a hit or miss with every color. For example, a slightly shimmery light blue shade called Cinderella, was a miss, and a pretty awful one at that. While the color was gorgeous, like a mix between periwinkle and light, cloudy blue, the formula was really, really runny, so it took about three coats to get it to look like what it looked like in the bottle (the brushes are exactly the same, by the way). And since I had to layer three coats, drying time was about ten to fifteen minutes. Also, the finish is not as shiny as I'd like it to be, but again, it was slightly shimmery, which I did not expect when I bought the polish, but shimmer tends to have that quality. Then, I wore this for about three days, and that's when the polish started peeling off. Not cool. Overall, I'd say just to buy a color if you see it and like it because for $1.99, these nail polishes are cheap and fun, so even if you don't get a hit with an absolutely amazing polish, you still have a new shade for special occasions, and you didn't lose much money. But if you do find a hit in a color that you could see yourself wearing a lot, then jackpot!

I like this basecoat for its ease of application, ability to prevent stains, and its prevention of chipping, but it leaves a lot to be desired. The smell is really strong, and it leaves rather prominent ridges (read: buff your nails before using this, and technically any other polishes). Also, I like that this dries super fast, which is really convenient.

I really, really, really wanted to like this after hearing so much great things about Orly's nail polish. I did like the metallic or more glittery polishes, those were nice, but the cream polishes were a big fat disappointment. I have a light, pretty pink called "First Kiss" and a plain white (like the kind used for French manicures) polish. The colors were so pretty and elegant and wearable, the packaging was simple and clean, and the bottle held more than the average bottle, which made the $8 paid a good value. However, this nail polish is definitely not a good value after experiencing the what it's like. The formula was incredibly watery at first, but after having the bottle open for about five minutes, everything started getting very, very goopy, making it extremely hard to work with. Also, the first coat was incredibly streaky, so I put on a second coat, which was also very streaking. It took four coats just for everything to look like it should! I don't care how inexpensive or cool a polish looks, no one has time for four coats of polish! So, since I had to layer on four coats for the polish to look halfway decent, the drying time was absolutely ridiculous. It took about three hours for the nail polish to finally dry. That is just not worth it. Then, to make things even more wonderful (not!), the polish got bubbles in it, and the day after, long cracks started forming in the polish. I have been painting my nails and other peoples' nails for a long time now, and I have never had such an unpleasant experience. If I managed to get this Orly polish right (once every blue moon), the colors were dull and the finish was dull, even with a good, reputable top coat. And the polish would last only about two days. This is just horrible. Save your money, and get something nice, like Essie or OPI. Even the $1.99 nail polish I can find performs better and last longer than this. What a disappointment.

When I was on travel in Philadelphia, I had bare nails, and since I mainly have nail polish on 24/7, my nails just felt bare. Exposed. Naked. So I picked this up from a drugstore for about $1.99 in I Red A Good Book, and I went back to my hotel, and that night before bed, I painted my nails in under five minutes. Flawlessly. (Though I didn't get the chance to use a base or top coat.) That was impressive, and I think it was mainly because of the brush. The bottle and packaging in general looks nothing like the picture in this review (that's the old version), so I'm guessing the formula, bottle, and brush changed. Well, the brush is amazing. I know a lot of people think it's too coarse and too nubby and too wide, but I actually found it easy to use. It picked up just the right amount of polish, and I could cover every nail in one stroke without getting excess polish on my skin, so no clean up! I adore this brush. No streaking, either, though the polish was a tad watery, so I had to paint on three coats to reach full opacity. However, this polish dries super fast (probably because of its watery consistency) and the pigmentation is decent. A warning about the formula is that the color doesn't look exactly like what it looks like in the bottle. The red I bought looks more hot pink than red in different lighting, and the orange Club Havana looks like a lovely coral in the bottle, but in actuality it looks like Home Depot orange on the nails. But if you're not picky, this shouldn't be much of a problem. The things I don't like about this nail polish is the chipping, smell, and finish. This nail polish chips on the tips in about three days, the smell is so strong compared to other polishes (like Sally Hansen, OPI, or Essie), and without a top coat, this polish can look really dull. So for the glossy look, layer some good quality top coat on, unless you like the dull, matte-ish look. Overall, a decent polish that's great for people who only have several minutes and a great brush, but not the best.

I like that Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear polishes are available in so many colors for an affordable price, as well as reaching opacity in two coats, but it chipped faster than any other polish I've used so far (yes, even the $1.99 polishes). I used high-quality base coat and top coat that I've used before, and they've proven to really extend and protect my manicure, but even with those great products, the Sally Hansen polish started chipping on day three, which is well below my standards. The only thing keeping the chips from falling off my nails is the base and top coat, but the crack lines are visible, and the sides are flaking. Also, the formula is a hit or miss, some being perfect, others being watery, and some being irritatingly thick. I'm only giving this an 8 because of the color, price, and opacity.
