Feeding off of how moisturizing and reputable Aveeno's body lotion was, I purchased this, hoping that it would be just as gentle and moisturizing as the body lotion. While it did meet some expectations, there was something about it that was... Undesirable, to say the least. And in short, it was the STINGING. Almost everything was perfect except for the stinging. I don't have sensitive skin. In fact, I can basically slap anything on my skin and it won't act out. I have no acne to be irritated towards, etc. But this night cream takes the prize for the one thing I have found in 14 years of skin care obsession that I can say will sting my face. That's a guarantee. This night cream by Aveeno has a really strong scent, which might be the source of the stinging, but the short, simple case here is: it stings. But besides that, I like this night cream. The little more than one oz container lasted me for over a year (about a year and 4 months), which makes it a good value at its $21 price tag and relative performance. It moisturizes really well, to the point where a little pinch will cover my entire face and I'll wake up to smooth, baby-soft skin. However, it can get a bit greasy (and I have dry/combination skin, so warning to people with acne). The texture is smooth and easy to spread, and the scent is a sophisticated floral scent. Also, the size makes this easy to take on travel, and the packaging is very sturdy (I can't count how many times I've dropped this on tile flooring) and cute. Overall, a good product with excellent moisture, but due to the stinging, I think I'll try something else.

L'Oreal Paris Youth Code Dark Spot Correcting & Illuminating Serum Corrector
Only Five Stars Because...
Like the other reviewer said, I had high hopes for this product. L'Oreal usually has good quality, cost-effective products, and since the packaging claimed that this product was the offspring of 10 years of gene reasearch, it seems like it would be effective. Well, I should have read the reviews online before wasting $20 on this. I have always known that in order to see results in dark spot reduction, I had to be patient, and that it may take months to see results. However, I had finished my entire bottle of serum over the course of about a year and two months, each time covering my whole face and applying twice a day after cleansing. And I saw: No. Results. I did see some of my lightest dark spots disappear, and it evened my skin tone a little bit, but it didn't do a thing to the spots that really troubled me and have been making me self-conscious for at least 10 years. The only reason I gave this product 5 stars is 2 stars for evening out my skin tone a bit and making a few lighter spots disappear, and for the texture, packaging, and scent. The packaging looked so promising! It looked so professional, sleek, clean, neat, and it was easy to take on travel. But as I learned the hard way, that was no reflection on the actual nature of this product. Then, the scent was amazing. It smelled like expensive designer perfume, and I admit it made me happy every time I got a whip of it. Finally, the texture is silky smooth, and the light shimmer I got from it gave me this dewy, fresh look. I will give this product 3 more stars for these good qualities. But the actual purpose of this product was not served. Maybe this would be better as an illuminator for your whole face than a dark spot correcting serum?

I think this is one of those products that is just horribly underrated. For the penny-pincher price, it is fantastic! I could mistake this for Clinique or something more high-end any day. I absolutely adore the pore pad that came with it. Not only does it make cleaning faster, but it creates this dreamy, fragrant lather, and it really does a good job reaching the more obscure areas of the face, like around the nose. With it, I achieve a deeper clean than I ever would with my fingers alone, and believe it or not, I like it better than Clarisonic! It's lights years more low maintenance, costs less, and is gentle to my dry, sensitive skin, especially during the occasional acne outbreak. Another outstanding point of this L'Oreal product is the scent. I have never smelled anything like it. It's heavenly, like a wooded forest after a delicate rain shower, light, subtle florals, and some other delightful scent I don't quite know how to describe. It's unisex scent makes this a product that both men and women will find pleasant. The facial wash itself is clear, and works well with the included pad to work into a rich lather. It leaves my skin feeling clean, but without feeling overly harsh or drying my skin out. I especially like this in the winter, when my skin is at its driest, but this also keeps the oil at bay in the summer. Finally, the bottle of this facial wash is one that is unique and artistic. It's something that could be displayed on the bathroom counter, and look like modern art. I know that's not the reason you buy, but it's a nice touch. Overall, this is a phenomenal product. The only thing I dislike is the cap, which can get rather messy, but a quick rinse with your finger over the hole to block the water from getting in and everything is good as new.

I received a sample tube of this as a free gift in another Clinique purchase, so I can't say anything about the full-size product's packaging, but I do have something to say about the product itself. It's wondrous! My sample tube was so cute in Clinique's trademark frosted, clear plastic, and the color of the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion +, a buttercup yellow, is so cheery, sophisticated, and simple. I absolutely adore the hypoallergenic and no fragrance aspect of all of Clinique's products, but this lotion made me appreciate it even more! It's perfect in it's non-scented glory for layering under perfume. Enough of the gushing over the appearance and hypoallergenic-ness, onto the actual product. I really liked this product. Not only did a tiny dab go a long way (which justifies the product's relatively high price tag), it moisturizes really well without being sticky or greasy, and it hasn't made my sensitive skin break out either. This is saying a lot because I live in a high, hot, dry desert environment. Then, after washing my face, toning, applying serum or spot treatments, then using this moisturizer, my skin looks dewy and glowy. Not the fake kind of glowy, the kind that comes from inside the skin. Next, this moisturizing lotion is actually convenient in the way that it doesn't have SPF, so you can decide how high the SPF you need for that day. It gives you more options. Finally, Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + has a cornucopia of skincare benefits compared to the original formula, and it works as a good primer. Honestly one of the best moisturizers I've ever used! I will definitely be buying the full size after I finish my sample tube.

I had heard pretty good things about Covergirl brand makeup, so this was the very first product I've ever bought that was Covergirl. Let's just say this did not make a good impression on me at all. My original intent was to use this as a clear mascara for those true no-makeup makeup days. However, the formula was so wet and watery that it did nothing more than if I were to splash my eye lashes with water. This means no curl, no definition, no nothing. The only reason I'm giving this product two stars is because the curved brush fit the contours of my eyelashes so nicely and it was easy to coat my lashes. So after the mascara fail, I tried to use this on my eyebrows to give them shape and help them to keep the color and shape all day. However, this product was completely pointless as well! It's like I put it on my brows, and it just disappeared. Also, at this point is when I noticed that the packaging got this huge crack down the middle of the cap attached to the brush. I had only opened the tube once, and the packaging already cracks? That is, hands down, just bad and cheap quality. I also got a whiff of the product at this point, it smelled like a chemical spill. Completely undesirable and irritating. I now understand why this mascara was so inexpensive. After this experience, I'm not sure if I will ever purchase Covergirl makeup products again.

Within my knowledge, Nivea has a pretty good reputation, with outstanding body lotions, absolutely amazing lip butters, and good skin care products. Compared to that, this Kiss of Smoothness Hydrating Lip Care with SPF 10 is decent. There were a lot of nice things about this lip balm. I bought this balm when I saw the SPF 10 on the label because it was a blazing hot and sunny summer, and our lips need SPF as much as our face or body does. So far, this SPF has been just perfect. Also, the packaging is neat and simple, no frills or fluff. The light blue color is cute and the twist up applicator is quick and clean, as opposed to the Nivea Lip Butters where you have to stick your fingers into the product. Sometimes I do like more flashy, creative packaging, but for day to day, "apply and then throw in the purse" use, this is good. Then, the lip balm was very smooth and silky going on, and the clear color made this perfect to wear under glosses, stains, or lipstick for both color and sun protection. Finally, the price tag was very reasonable, considering I got two for about $4. However, this lip balm was not very moisturizing. At all. Despite going on smooth and silky, the moisture did not last long at all. About five minutes at most, and after that my lips actually start to feel very chapped and uncomfortable. So you either have to apply this every few minutes, or just sit there with chapped, uncomfortable-feeling lips. Also, I am really not a fan of the scent. While I can understand how many people would find the scent simple, subtle, and floral, it honestly smells like nothing else but outdated perfume to me. It smells like old lady, in other words. I do not find that the least bit appealing. Finally, do not leave this in the car if it's hotter than about 78 degrees Farenheit outside or you will come back to a hot (literally) mess. The same day I bought this Nivea lip balm, I left it in the car for about ten to fifteen minutes in 85-degree weather while I was in the grocery store. When I came back and opened the lip balm to put it on, it was pretty close to melted. It's like when a stick of butter starts to melt around the edges about five seconds in the microwaving process. Not cool. It's a good thing I had leather seats and a refrigerator at home to cool this lip balm down in to (try) to restore it's former cylindrical shape. Overall, not a terrible balm, but there are definitely better, non-old-lady-smelling balms out there that offer much better moisture.

I admit I tried this product because of all the hype and great reviews and brilliant claims surrounding it, and I was really excited. But after using this for about two weeks, I have to say I'm not disappointed, but I'm not ecstatic either. They're Real! mascara really isn't anything special. I liked many things about this mascara, like the cute packaging, the rich, dimensional black color of the product, and the creamy, smooth texture. I especially adore the brush, which is great for really separating all the lashes and coating the lashes from root to tip. In fact, it might be one of the better or best brushes I've ever used, and I am probably a chronic beauty junkie. But despite these great qualities, this mascara didn't work the miracles it claimed to work. First off, the mascara definitely thickened my lashes and emphasized my eyes, but my lashes had no curl whatsoever. I dutifully curl my lashes every day, and using my usual Maybelline mascara, they stay curled all day long. However, I curled my lashes as I normally do and put on They're Real! mascara, and within a few minutes, my lashes were as straight as dry wall. I think this may be because of the formula's consistency and texture. While the creamy, smooth texture is wonderful, They're Real! feels a little too wet, which might be destroying/ruining the curl. Also, They're Real! claims to be waterproof, which I honestly don't think it is. Most waterproof mascaras are drier in formula than this. For example, my daily Maybelline waterproof mascara feels a lot drier than this (and no, it's not because it's old, I've had it for only about a month), and it doesn't give me smudgy, raccoon-like eyes by the end of the day. However, this does. Next, They're Real! seems to clump really easily unless you really know what you're doing. By that I mean layering thin layers with a minute drying time in between. If you're in a huge rush or new to mascara and don't really have your technique down, this mascara could be Clump Town for you. Finally, They're Real! mascara has a ridiculously high price tag at $23 a tube, considering it's performance. I like many of it's qualities, but I truly think that there are better options out there that are more cost-effective. Overall, this mascara doesn't live up to the miraculous claims and hype, but it's not terrible.

I really wanted to love this product after hearing so many good things about Neutrogena, but this didn't meet my (rather high) expectations. First, the packaging and the texture and scent of the product are all very nice. The bottle is very sturdy (so no worries if you drop it in the shower), and the scent is very clean. The cleanser lathered really well to produce a luxuriously thick and fragrant foam, but it really dried out my skin. My skin was so dry that not even my Shiseido night cream could provide relief. This is nice if you have oily skin, but if not, try something else.

All cleansers these days seem so alike to me, that for me to write this review for Clinique's Liquid Facial Soap means that this cleanser is truly outstanding. First, the consistency and texture is amazing, and the soap lathers like no one's business. Also, the scent is clean and sophisticated, so I have no idea why all these people are complaining about it, but we all have different opinions. I find the scent of this cleanser very relaxing. Then, after using this cleanser, my skin feels clean but not dried out, and it looks more radiant. Clinique has really outdone themselves.

In general, I like this scrub. It smells clean and subtle (slightly floral), the scrub's particles are small, abundant, and gentle, and the scrub foams up after a while, just like a scrub and cleanser all in one. My skin always feels fresh, clean, and smooth after using this. I also admire St. Ives for using all natural ingredients, and the price is okay because a little goes a long way, so it will last a long time. (I use my travel-sized version three times a week, and it has lasted me over six months, which is absolutely amazing.) The downsides to this scrub, however, is the packaging. It can get really messy, especially after opening it for the first time because a lot of product might ooze out and putting the cap over it makes it messy in the cap.
