Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Body Splash Enchanted Orchid
Not too bad, but not my favorite either
Even though I am usually not enthusiastic about floral fragrance, but I do love the smell of Lavender and Orchid. I have tried a few bottles of Calgon's Tahitian Orchid. I have seen the "Enchanted Orchid" line at BBW stores for some time, but somehow I've never tries their Orchid collection. Finally, I decided to try this body mist. The scent is strong, but nothing special. It sort of reminds me of potpourri mix I used to own. Calgon's Tahitian Orchid smells more exotic, a little bit sweeter, a little bit more like spring rain. Also, I find that Calgon Orchid's staying power is slightly better than BBW's. While the BBW's bottle design is more presentable and sleek, without any doubt I prefer the affordable Calgon's Orchid.

I usually don't like a lipstick that included in a gift with purchase set. But I am very happy that Lancome included Color Fever lipstick in Rose Defile a while ago, otherwise, I would have never discovered this Lancome lipstick line. The texture is creamy, but not too soft. I am not into pink based lip colors, but this one is more like nude/natural pink and well-pigmented. I suspect that due to the creamy texture, it does not stay on for extended periods of time. BTW, I also liked the package. It is not their traditional black base/top, it looks more youthful and contemporary. I would have given this lipstick a higher rating if I did not know about Maybelline's Color Sensational Lipcolor, which is clearly less expensive than this one.

I swim regularly, and I do prefer waxing my bikini area. But during a beach vacation, I shave since it is faster and less hassle. This gel helps not only for a close shave, it also seems to moisturize the skin a little better than other regular shaving gels. No redness, no itchiness, no dryness. I thought maybe it was just for one time, but shave after shave, I did not get redness until I finished the whole first tube. I still experience occasional bumps, but I must say that the results are better than not using this gel.

I initially bought this powder in Stay Neutral to control mid-afternoon shine on my T-zone and other oily areas. Before I apply this powder, I used a blotting sheet to remove excess oil. The combination of the sheet and this powder helped to control the oily patches for some time. But I needed to touch up again when I went out in the evening. The coverage was actually good, but definitely neither light nor sheer. It helped masking my pores. Nevertheless, I should not have re-applied too often against the Southern heat and humidity. That was my stupidity. It became a bit chalky and heavy, and my skin ended up looking a little cakey by the end of the day. But as a short-term fix, it made a difference

I was intrigued by the name and their ingredients like Cocoa butter and Mango. The color is light caramel. Despite the appealing name and yummy color, I dislike the smell of this cream. I agree with another reviewer, there is something about the smell, I cannot describe it though. It does not smell fruity or sweet. It is very unfamiliar to me. Anyway, the cream is rich and buttery. It works like a body butter, it moisturizes my after swimming skin, but it takes a some time to sink in. All in all, due to the weird smell, I gave the almost-full tube to someone else.

I cannot say if this Avon's instant anti-bacterial hand gels kill more germs than drugstore brands do, but they certainly smell way nicer. I purchased their Cucumber Melon gel from a friend after sampling hers. The Vanilla one was also nice, but I did not want my hands to smell too sweet. Just like any alcohol based instant sanitizing gel, it dries out my hands, and I usually have to follow-up with a hand cream or lotion. But I recently discovered Gold Bond Ultimate Hand Sanitizer Moisturizer, which is an alcohol-free antibacterial lotion. I find it much better because it does not dry my hands.

It was a part of Gift w/ Purchase product some time ago. But I wonder Gentle means "gentle" for the makeup. Actually, it removed eyeshadow (after several wipes), but it was not very effective at getting rid of mascara and eyeliner. If it was a water-proof product, forget it. On the plus side, it did not sting my eyes, and it did not smell like alcohol. Interesting that it was non-oil formula, but after using this one, my eye area felt a bit dry. Nivea and Neutrogena eye makeup remover do better job for less money.

I think these pads are quite abrasive, but they do the job. My face feels smooth and clean after using the pads that attached to their Rejuvenator. The foam is moisturizing that it does not dry out my skin. Although the Rejuvenator has not eliminated my wrinkles, I like how it softens and cleanses my face. The directions suggest "use up to 3 times a week", but 1 or 2 times a week is enough for me. The refills were expensive, thus, I re-use each one at least twice (even the second time, it creates enough foam). Even though I don't use as often as directed, the pads still run out fast. Lately I am having a hard time finding the refill pads. I am afraid that the Rejuvenator may be discontinued in the near future. I hope not!

I have a love-hate relationship with Aveda, but I have more love for this bath salts. I enjoy taking a bath - milk bath, bubble bath, aromatic bath, bath bombs, bath salts etc. I soak in the bath at least once a week. It has been my routine for years, and my family and friends keep giving me bath products. Nice! This Aveda bath salts was also a gift. I use about two table spoon full of these salts under running water. They dissolve quickly, and become lightly scented bath. Not too moisturizing as my other bath products, but this is still a great addition to create my bath sanctuary along with lighting up some candles and turning on some soft music. I would have buy and use more often if it was not so expensive.

While I use cotton balls to remove eye makeup, I use cotton rounds and pads for toner because cotton balls sometimes leaves some fiber on my skin. I find the the rounds are perfect to remove nail polish too. Johnson's cosmetic rounds are soft and thick. Having said that, a generic brand that I also purchase at a supermarket also works as good as Johnson's.
