I never liked elastics with the metal closure. These Ouchless elastics have no metal pieces, are inexpensive, and look better too. But of course after some time, they do also snap in two or stretch out. This one is good, but not strong as their StayPut collection. I like the StayPut elastic bands because they are heavy-duty, longer lasting, better elastics for my thick hair, and do not slip out but stay in place for all day long.

Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus IR3535 Insect Repellent Unscented SPF 15 Aerosol Spray
Good protection from mosquitoes
My friend who buys/sells Avon gave me a Skin So Soft Bug Guard spray can in SPF 30 two summers ago. The smell was, as expected, not pleasant but was not tolerable. It kept mosquitoes away, maybe not completely but our family got bitten significantly less. It seemed to be sweat resistant. It was a good bug repellent, but I would not rely on it as a main sunscreen product (a bit sticky and smelly as sunblock).

I usually love a perfume featuring a woody and earthy scent, but this one is mixed with a strange sweet scent that lingers on my skin. This perfume came with a Estee Lauder favorites miniature set. I thought that the design of this bottle was the ugliest and most old-fashioned of all. Anyway, when I first sprayed, I thought the scent was interesting, and it made me picture of amber, cedar, citrus, honey, and vanilla. But once this scent dried down, only the sweet and heavy floral scent was left on my skin. It smells nice in the bottle. Maybe it is due to my body chemistry? I appreciate its long lasting scent, but there is something about the scent I cannot get into. My favorite Estee Lauder perfume is "Beautiful", their bottle design is also not really beautiful and exciting though.

Even though I am not completely happy with Intuition, I still use it at my gym because of their convenient built-in moisturizing cream to shorten my shave time. But their refill blades seem to be getting even more expensive. It is pity that I have to buy refills when the moisturizing bar is still left. Anyway, my last refill cartridge was like $8.99 at Target for 3 blades! This may be the last package. BTW, this razor is definitely not ideal for the bikini area. Obvious? Well, I learned the hard way. lol.

I used to buy cheap sharpeners. I have two NYC Sharpeners, a free one from Clinique, one from Ulta, and one from Sephora. My friend was using this MAC sharpener, and she told me it was the best. I was skeptical at first, but when I borrowed it, I could immediately see the differences. It makes a pencil pointy (but not too dangerously pointy), and it shaves off thin layers, so there is not much waste. It is easy to clean. After getting my own, I tried all standard pencils and liners. If it fits, it shaves. Yes, I had to pay a few more dollars, but it is not a bad deal at all, considering the results. So far so good.

A few years ago we started our new family tradition, which is to lit scented oil or candle from Thanksgiving to every night of Advent. I enjoy using the cranberry scent oil and candle especially for Thanksgiving night. This year's Body Shop's Cranberry oil is called "Cranberry Joy". It produces a sweet, tangy, and rich scent. Everyone, young and old, family and guests, loves this scent. It is strong, and a few drops fills up quickly, so I recommend to use this in a big room. Two thumbs up!

From the look of the bottle design, I thought this would be more suitable for young ladies, but it smells quite mature. It has a sweet floral and a little bit grassy and musky scent. The blend of the fragrance is wearable to many places at anytime, and uplifts my mood, but unfortunately, the scent disappears from my skin after 2-3 hours. This is not quite acceptable for a $60/bottle perfume. The bottle is absolutely adorable and eye-catching, but I am glad that I purchased their smaller bottle, not the 3.4 oz size.

I bought this in pineapple coconut. It smells great and yummy. The scent does remind me of Pina Colada and a day at the beach. This lip gloss gives my lips a nice subtle shine. Okay, I really wanted to love this lip gloss, but there are two things I don't like. It is a bit sticky and goopy, and there is little color.

This Sally Hansen nail color line had a good selection of neutral, nude, pale pink-based colors and a few dark ones at a drugstore. My first bottle was Rose Petals. It took a little longer to dry completely than some of my other express nail colors. One coat was pretty already, but it was still a bit sheer for my taste. So I did double coat, and it made my nails shiny like polished pink pearls. I still used a top coat each time and it did not chip for 4 full days. well, so I don't know what would have happened if I did not use a top coat. I don't often finish one whole bottle, but I used this one up. This may be one of my top 5 pastel color drugstore nail polishes. I purchased a few more different shades.

While I was able to remove eye shadow fairly well, it took a lot of rubbing to get off a regular mascara and eye liner with this remover. That's a serious no-no for me. Also, I had to soak a cotton pad for the second time. I followed-up with a facial cleanser and rinsed my face. But still, when I used my towel to pat-dry, there was black stain on the towel from mascara! At least, it was a non-greasy formula, had a pleasant scent, and although I had to swipe over my eyelids a few times, fortunately, it did not irritate my eyes. It was something like $6, but I did not re-purchase it. I miss my Nivea eye make-up remover...
