Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Eau de Toilette Black Raspberry Vanilla
Tart, sweet, and fruity!
While some scents of the BBW Eau de Toilette have been discontinued and forgotten, this Black Raspberry Vanilla fragrance still going strong on my list. This has been my favorite BBW toilette for at least 4 years. When I am in the mood of a tart, sweet and fruity combination AND when I want something a bit stronger than body mist, this Eau de Toilette satisfies my needs. What extra cool about the BBW Signature Collection is that I can combine a few items of the same scent. For instance, before a night out, I moisturize my skin with Black Raspberry Vanilla body lotion and wear this perfume to enhance the scent even more. I don't have to worry about mixing different scents too much. The lasting power may not be the best, but I can accept it because this is less expensive than some pricy high end perfume bottles with poor lasting power.

I've been suffering from adult acne for years. Even though Clinique Acne Solution system made some minor difference, none of the acne treatment worked completely. This Neutrogena gel eliminated or reduced the size of some pimples, but I kept getting new blemishes at the same time. What I did not like this one is that this stuff left some parts of my face very dry and flaky. I have oily/combo skin, I'm a Neutrogena fan, but I won't purchase this one again.

This was my very first lip gloss-in-a tube-item. I remember that every GF I know was using or at least talking about this lip gloss. It was very sticky, did not absorb into lips, and instead just sat on top. I forgot which exact shade I got, but it was in pink-mauve color. The color was appealing in the tube, it was basically much clear on the lips. I thought about trying another color, but within a month, other companies started producing similar lip gloss. I thought this Lancome Juicy Tube was the stickiest and gooiest lip product, then later I discovered Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush lip gloss, which was, in my humble opinion, the stickiest and gooiest one I ever used.

I tried a few different kinds of Lush Bath Bombs and Moisturisers, but frankly I do not like enough any of them to re-purchase. Then, I met The Comforter Bubble Bar. It comes in a great size, I break into 4 pieces so I can get four baths out of the one bar. It produces a good amount of bubbles, and I like the blackcurrant scent. The water turns funky pink! It does not give me any skin benefit except it makes my skin smell good temporarily, and I don't use this one for relaxation, but for fun. I have not tried any other bubble bars, but the Comforter does lift my mood and spirits.

I can say only about their Trio for Greens. When I saw this, I was excited because I thought this Almay product could replace my favorite teal/green eye shadow, Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Super Shimmer in "Peacock", which cost about the double compared to Almay's. I love the price and the package of this intense i-color. It feel light weight and soft on my eyelids. But it is not easy to blend them together, and enough though I love each color individually, the blended color does not look pretty, but a bit muddy. Also, unlike the Clinique Colour Surge or Shiseido Hydro-Powder shadow, the color is not pigmented enough.

This fragrance is one of those that do not work with my body chemistry. Too musky, strong and overpowering. My mom considers this scent timeless, but I say outdated. So I guess this fragrance is really a matter of personal preference. It was really cheap, and now I know why.

I used to use this ointment to get temporary relief of the itching, skin irritations and insect bites. It really works, but a friend introduced me Aveeno Calamine and Pramoxine Anti-Itch Cream, which is steroid-free and cheaper. I find the Aveeno one more soothing too.

Just like their matching shampoo, this conditioner has a mild minty scent. I noticed that the results are much better when I leave this on my hair for a few minutes longer. My hair looks shiny and feels soft after using the shampoo and conditioner combo. Since it gives a soothing feeling, I like to use it in summer. While I cannot confirm that this conditioner has actually waken up my hair roots or scalp, my hair certainly looks healthier and less frizzy. This is not an intensive conditioner and does not actually repair any damage, but when I need my hair moisturized and detangled, I think this is a great drug store conditioner. I like this one better than Aveda Rosemary Mint conditioner. Among all the John Frieda shampoo/conditioner collection, I love the Awakening series the best. Since Awakening Nourishing Moisture Conditioner is highly rated here, I may try that one too.

I did not know that there are 3 different Root Awakening shampoo products. I like the Strength Restoring one. The shimmery and pearly light greenish-white color shampoo lathers and cleans my hair and scalp well without drying out my colored/damaged hair. I follow up with the matching conditioner. This combo leaves my hair shiny and healthy looking. I find their minty scent is milder than Aveda Rosemary Mint. If you like a strong minty scent, maybe Aveda's is for you. But this one is cheaper, and I actually like the John Frieda's fragrance better than Aveda's. My hair feels still good even the next day. It is not every day that I find my "next day" hair to be manageable and soft. If you love Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo but hate their price tag, try this one.

Of the 3 Philosophy Grace series, Amazing Grace is my favorite. It smells clean, fresh, but neither too powdery nor too soapy. The scene is simple yet not too boring, thus, it is wearable for daily use. Amazing Grace seems to agree with my body chemistry, and it does not stink up my personal space so I have never received any complaint when I wear near my friends (and believe me, my friends are darn honest! ;)). If any, I wish the scent lasted a bit longer.
