  • Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion With Sunscreen

Oh wonderful SPF what can I do without you? This lotion also comes in a tube form for reapplication on the go, and a pump form so you can put it on at home or at the office. I have eczema, and this doesn't irritate it at all. Of course it isn't adequate to moisturize the extremely dry bits all day, but it keeps me mostly covered. No smell and no irritation, and it isn't greasy either. Pretty cheap because the pump bottle lasts about 8 months of daily wear, for me anyways. Use liberally!

  • mark Self Sanctuary Body Butter

Well this is cheap, so it's a great deal I suppose. I had lemon sugar and it smelled pretty nice, and the scent lingers for a few hours after application. It moisturizes and sinks in pretty quickly but if you have very dry skin like me--expect further reapplications. No SPF, so I would not dare wear this outside the house. The consistency of cream was very fluid, not like a body butter at all but more like a watery lotion in a jar so points off for that. Above average.

  • mark Self Sanctuary Shower Wash

I got this as a gift. It's smells great, but doesn't really linger. Doesn't really moisturize or suds up, which is strange considering that mark. isn't a brand that has an emphasis on staying natural--so I would assume suds would be no issue but it is. This doesn't bubble up at all, but I guess it still cleans. You get a smaller than average amount of bottle for cheap, so I guess it wasn't a total loss. Just a good smelling soap in a cute bottle and nothing else.

  • Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil

Man oh man I really wanted to give this product a good review but it lacked my number one lip balm component--SPF. Yes, you would normally expect SPF from a balm, even a minuscule SPF 4 would be enough. Two stars off for that. Anyways aside from that, this balm is perfect. It makes your lips this most natural bitten tint, and is very moisturizing without being heavy. It also smells nice and fruity, and lasts a long time. Burt's bees whole deal with being natural and making things recyclable is great too! I wear this at home but since I'm a sunophobe, never outside.

  • Blistex Silk & Shine

    Blistex Silk & Shine

    Wow the perfect lip balm!

This stuff is seriously the greatest. I like it so much that I make my boyfriend use it! It's pretty cheap, never over 5 dollars for 2 tubes, has a fruity smell, has SPF 15, and looks natural. The shine is very subtle, and your lips feel soft and great. The balm doesn't gather up in the corner of your lips like many other lip products, and your hair won't stick to your mouth either! It lasts a pretty long time unless you eat or drink, but it feels so nice you won't mind spending 10 seconds to apply it again. It's pretty light but packs in so much work. The tube is a little bigger than a normal chapstick tube but that's a small issue.

  • Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Shine Cream-Gel

Pros: Cheap, smells nice, does not flake, holds moderately well for extended periods of time if using it for waves, adds shine. Cons: Does not do anything for volume, does not hold waves strongly, a lot of product is needed in order to get desired result, is too heavy to use when straightening hair, does very little for frizz.

  • mark Go With The Pro mark Brush Mini Kit

I usually don't like mark products, sue me. But this little brush set is amazing. It's portable, the hairs are soft and don't stick out every which way, and they apply makeup evenly. Also they're cheap! Even after scrubbing them clean every other week, none of the hairs have fallen out and they continue to perform. Don't waste $20 each on department brushes that do the same thing (I'm looking at you, Sephora!) when you can get this set for less.

  • Lush Facial Cleansers

    Lush Facial Cleansers

Angels on Bare Skin and Mask of Magnaminty.

I love Lush! The only problem is, besides from there being no nearby store where I reside, is that their no preservatives policy is both a virtue and a vice. It means you must be extra careful when using their products! Anyways, onto to the reviews. This is an overall impression of the two cleansers. (One is more correctly classified as a mask) Pros: Amazing, natural earthy scents; really works and delivers claims; need very little product to do job; improves skin problems such as spots/roughness/etc.; cute names! Cons: Can be difficult to use at times; AOBS runs out VERY quickly and molds!; a bit pricey; expiration dates. If you live near a Lush store yourself, these issues wouldn't be much of a problem. I highly recommend Lush facial cleansers!

  • Lush Shower Gels

Since Snow Fairy doesn't have its own entry, I'll write about it here. Pros: Amazing scent that stays, can be used as shampoo, a little goes a long way, colour is pretty, sparkles don't stick, suds up nice and cleans well, and Lush is a great company. Cons: A bit expensive, doesn't moisturize too well but doesn't dry out skin/hair either, and it is limited edition. :( The bottle contains a pink semiviscuous fluid and the bottom half of the liquid has this stuff that looks like snowflakes! Sparkles a intermingled among this "snow" part. This would make an excellent gift.

  • Matrix Biolage Scalpsync Cooling Mint Shampoo
    10.0

Matrix Biolage Scalpsync Cooling Mint Shampoo

Great for oily hair, but doesn't dry out your scalp.

I got this as a Christmas gift. I was reluctant to try it because my hair wasn't exactly what you called "oily". (It only gets oily after 12 hours of being outside or something) You get a very large bottle for a reasonable price and I only need 2 quarter-sized dollops to wash my elbow length hair. The smell is slightly minty with some..flowers? I can't put my finger on it but it's not extremely minty...just ever so slightly. Anyways it cools your scalp and reduces oil in my hair. If you ever felt like me when your hair has gotten so oily and flat at the end of the day it makes you look like you have a cone head--this is the shampoo for you. It doesn't dry out your hair but I wouldn't recommend using it without conditioner if you are prone to breakage and such. Leaves you with clean, fragrant hair; product is very refreshing.
