  • Pantene Pro-V Volume Outrageous Body Hairspray Maximum Hold, Non-Aerosol

I bought a travel-size of this for vacation, and I have to say it's a very good product. It's non aerosol to lessen the impact on the environment, but I still wish Pantene took more measures to be 'green'. The smell is standard hairspray, but not that over powering compared to some. It's lacking added conditioners and SPF protection, which I have grown used to since I use salon products. Aside from those downfalls, the spray is very cheap and holds very, very well. I use it when I curl my hair and it really does keep your hair up all day without looking overly stiff. (I have impossibly straight hair) I used it for a week in very-humid Florida in the summertime, and my hair looked voluminous and great. I would definitely recommend it.

  • Aveda Brilliant Hair Spray

    Aveda Brilliant Hair Spray

Pretty good for hair that doesn not need extreme hold.

Man I like this way better than the Firmata spray. Sure, it doesn't hold as strong but it fits the look I'm pursuing more naturally. It holds hair, but it doesn't make hair look crunchy or too stiff. It smells better than the frankly medicinal scent of Firmata, and it does make my hair look great even in 100 degree Texas summers. I just wish it offered SPF protection for hair like most Paul Mitchell hair sprays. You get a pretty big bottle for the price, so it's pretty affordable for being a salon product. The nozzle doesn't get clogged up either and it lasts the entire day.

  • Avon MagiX Face Perfector SPF 20

Avon MagiX Face Perfector SPF 20

Must have for those with pale and oily skin.

I love love love this product. It's amazing. It's cheap, and works well. The SPF is a higher than average amount and it has a nice faint smell. You only need a little bit to cover your entire face. No seriously. A little goes a LONG way. It's a gel lotion but it dries into a powder as you apply it. It controls my oil for the entire day, which I like because I have super oily skin which I hate. I don't know how I even got by without this. You can wear it under foundation, but I prefer to wear it as foundation. It evens your face out a little bit and adds this glow that doesn't contain sparkles.

  • Origins Automatic Eye Lining Pencil

    Origins Automatic Eye Lining Pencil

    Another win for Origins!

I bought this on sale since my local Origins closed down. (It wasn't situated in a nice enough area anyways) I got it in navy. The pnecil is creamy, easy to draw on, doesn't tug on my eyes, doesn't smudge (unless you smudge it on purpose), is very long lasting and the colour is nice and deep without being over the top. I have unusually oily skin (ah, adolescence) but it stayed on the entire day for me. (with powder of course) The automatic sharpening tip is convenient.

  • Aveda Inner Light Mineral Dual Foundation

I have nothing but goods things to say about this products---I don't know why people didn't like it! Okay it comes in a pan so you need to buy the compact separately but that's better for the environment anyways. It has a faint rose natural scent, which I found pleasant. I got it in linen and I can be described as an extremely fair Asian, so I'm pale but with yellow undertones instead of pink. It has SPF, which is a must for me. I never tried it wet but with dry application, it is a sheer coverage that hides most colour inconsistencies that might be found on the face. It comes with a little sponge, that I recommend you cleaning in hot soap and water occasionally lest you drag oil and dirt into the product and back onto your face. It keeps my face matte all day, which I found very surprising--especially with my very oily skin. You only need like 5 sponge wipes max to cover your entire face. Be sure to ask the Aveda lady to help you choose a colour! My Aveda store has a window so I used the ask for a mirror to check how well the colours blending in with naturla lighting.

  • Aveda Botanical Kinetics Purifying Gel Cleanser

I like this product. It leaves my face squeaky clean, and removes most makeup except the toughest kinds. (1 star off for that) It possesses that signature Aveda scent that is light and natural. The bottle is pretty (like most Aveda packaging) and the dispenser is perfect. One pump produces enough fragrant suds to clean my face and neck. It doesn't dry out certain arid regions of my face but it also doesn't make my face feel like an oil slick either. I don't break out with this product. It's pretty much perfect but you might need a separate eye makeup remover if you wear eyeliner or mascara. I use this in combination with the face lotion--it's amazing!

  • Aveda Botanical Kinetics Hydrating Lotion

Aveda is my favorite brand, let me get that out of the way. Their business ethics are amazing and their products are quality. This lotion has a great 'natural' scent to it, it's hard to explain but it smells good. The pump dispenses just the right amount (1 squirt) to adequately moisturize my neck and my face. It's light and not greasy, and is great for combination skin because it neither dries out or adds oil to any spots. The bottle is sure to last me a long time and my face has no dry spots by the end of the day. Also, the packaging is elegant and is a sight to behold due to its semi-translucent emerald glass fogged glass bottle. If your face gets very oily like mines does sometimes, it won't stop that from occurring. I just wish it offered some SPF.

  • Blistex Lip Balm
    10.0

    Blistex Lip Balm

    Wow, a classic.

I bought this in Canada when my other balm unfortunately melted in the pocket of my skirt. The SPF 15 is way better than a certain other lip balm brand, and it doesn't irritate my lips or the skin around it--nor does it leave that white film like some balms. It's richer but not too heavy, compared to other drugstore chapsticks. It lasts for a few hours and it's very cheap. Of course it doesn't add any colour but c'mon, it's a lip balm! I think it's a perfect product. Although if I could change anything, I would make the product more eco-friendly.

  • Korres Natural Products Shower Gel
    8.0

    Korres Natural Products Shower Gel

    Depends what scent you buy.

I like this product. It's green, the price is reasonable, it's concentrated. It doesn't dry out my skin but it doesn't add considerable moisture either, but I've yet to find anything that does. I dunno about the anti aging properties that it boasts off, but oh well. It's suds up nice and leaves a faint fragrance on your skin. Just beware the different scents they have and smell it in the store before you buy it. Some are absolutely atrocious. My favorite is quince.

  • The Body Shop Pomegranate Shower Gel

Okay I normally like The Body Shop. Great business ethics, great products...usually. This shower gel is alright. It cleans your skin without drying you out, but if you have naturally dry skin--you'll of course have to use a moisturizer afterward. It's not watered down so it's lasted a few months for me. I'm not too fond of the scent. It's not very pomegranate...I never met a pomegranate that smelled like some odd sweet, musky smell. It's alright if you like this scent line. Suds up nice like a gel should, and was pretty cheap because the pomegranate line is always on sale.
