  • Burt's Bees Baby Bee Shampoo and Wash

I got this for my 2 year old, her skin is a little sensitive and i have to be careful what I use, because she dries out really easily. This soap is really gentle and doesn't seem to dry her out at all. The aroma is alright, it's a little different because it's not artificial fragrance. I've used other soaps with similar results to this, but this one was a little more expensive, so I guess that's the drawback.

  • Boots No7 Intelligent Balance Mousse Foundation

I never considered myself to be somebody with dry skin on my face, I tend to be pretty oily...but this stuff makes me think otherwise. I like the coverage, and I love that a little goes a long way (it's more expensive than I usually buy for foundation, but it will last FOREVER) but, my skin gets flaky in areas after I put it on. I start with my skin pretty well moisturized, and put it on using a little bit of water, but it still causes peeling and and some visible dry patches. My skin just maybe isn't mature enough for this one yet.

  • Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion

For me, this isn't really living up to the hype. I thought that being designed for sensitive skin it might help do away with the irritation bumps that I always have on my thighs, but no such luck. It does moisturize and feel nice at first, but after 12 hours or so my skin is flaky in areas, which does not happen with ANY other lotion I've used. I think I'll stick to the Aveeno fragrance free, it keeps me moisturized for longer, and this one really doesn't have any benefit over it.

  • Almay One Coat Thickening Mascara

I wear hard contact lenses, and my eyes are super sensitive to the makeup I wear. This is the only mascara that has never caused me issues with my contacts. I love how it goes on too, it goes on surprisingly dark and thick and looks awesome. The consistency is also good, because this is the only mascara that I've ever been able to do my sparse lower lashes without completely botching the whole thing. I do find that it gets clumpy a little more quickly than other mascaras I have used, but the price is right and it just forces me to replace my mascara when I probably should do it anyway :)

  • Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Stain

I got a pack of 3 of these for a couple bucks more than the price of one, and I was mostly impressed, but a little let down too. I thought that because it's a "stain" that meant it would stay put, but it doesn't. It comes off on everything just like a run of the mill lipstick would. But other than that, the color looks great when you put it on, and even though the stuff comes off, the color does seem to last a while. And the minty smell is pretty nice too, and I do find these to be pretty hydrating. Just like other Tarte cosmetics though, I can't see myself ever paying full price for one of these.

  • Tarte Cheek Stain
    9.0

    Tarte Cheek Stain

    my fave :)

I love this stuff. I have it in what looks like a deep reddish color that I think is called Flush, so I was a little freaked out but found it doesn't look that way when you put it on. After blending it looks perfect and natural, and I'm all about products that also have natural ingredients. The little scent it has is also a nice touch. I got a mini one as part of a kit, but the only reason I'm giving it 9 stars is because I would never, at least not with the salary I currently make, spend the full price for one of these.

  • Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash

I bought this hoping to find a body wash that would make my skin stop flaking off in the winter. It does a pretty good job, but it's not as gentle as I would like. Even though it's for sensitive skin, it has SLS in it which is a pretty harsh ingredient. And it claims to be fragrance free, but there is a light perfume-y fragrance that doesn't smell like it comes from the ingredients, so that's a little confusing to me. I won't say that it dries me out at all, but I don't really feel like it's especially hydrating. My next step is to find something truly fragrance free without the SLS.

  • Neutrogena Soothing Wrap Body Lotion

I bought this to see if it could help with my winter skin issues as well as the old Neutrogena body lotion. It works alright, but I'm not blown away. There are other lotions that do a lot more to calm my skin and get rid of all the pink irritation bumps I get on my thighs and stuff, and this lotion just doesn't keep my skin feeling hydrated for as long as some others. The fragrance is also a little much, especially for a lotion that's supposed to be calming. I've pretty much given up on finding a fragranced lotion that will really make my skin chill out.

  • John Frieda Full Repair Touch-Up Flyaway Tamer
    2.0

John Frieda Full Repair Touch-Up Flyaway Tamer

an extra, unnecessary step, and left greasy spots on my head

I got this as a free sample after answering that I have straight hair, and I don't really have issues with lots of little hairs sticking up on my scalp like in the picture on the package. But I have used it a couple of times to try to glue down like 2 hairs I was able to find sticking up, and it turned those two spots into oil slicks that were visible all day long. My hair is really prone to getting greasy and weighed down, so I'm really not surprised. I can see where this would be a good product for some people, but with my hair type I really don't need it, and the results were less than desirable. And it didn't even keep the couple hairs down that I did have sticking up.

  • Nature's Gate Fragrance-Free Moisturizing Lotion for Sensitive Skin

I really like a couple of Nature's Gate lotions, and this one is decent. It's fragrance free but still has a little bit of an herbal scent to it, probably because of the natural ingredients that are in there, so at first I thought it was kind of nice. As I used it though, the scent started to get to me and I realized I don’t really like it. The lotion is nice, but doesn’t blow me away with its moisturizing capability. Overall, this is just ok.I don't really like it.
