  • Alba French Lavender Bath & Shower Gel

I really like this shower gel. It doesn't have sulfates but still lathers really well, and it smells divine especially at the end of the day. The fragrance is artificial, but I really like it and I'm not super picky about having fragrance in my products. It leaves my skin feeling just the right balance of cleansed and moisturized, and the price is reasonable for what you get and for the fact that it is an organic product. I will probably try a different kind in this line next.

  • Nature's Gate Herbal Moisturizing Lotion for All Skin Types

I mostly like this lotion. It moisturizes really well, but takes forever to rub in. But, that's something I can deal with if that's the price you pay for not having sketchy ingredients in it. The fragrance is a little much for me though, it's like floral and also too sweet for my tastes...I'm going to give it a little while longer and see if it grows on me, but we'll see. Not a bad lotion, I just wish the fragrance wasn't so intense.

  • Kiss My Face Miss Treated Conditioner

I really really like this shampoo and conditioner. First, I'm a sucker for anything minty so this rules. It doesn't have sulfates, which was hard to get used to, but I've found that if I just spend more time scrubbing, my hair gets clean with the same amount of shampoo I've always used. The conditioner is also not very "spreadable" and I'm not sure if that's because of the no-sulfate thing too, but that's ok because my hair gets really weighed down by conditioner anyway. The conditioner feels light, and after rinsing I can tell that my hair isn't weighed down but still feels conditioned just the right amount. :) This stuff rocks.

  • Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer
    2.0

    Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer

pretty much the opposite of impressed...

I really really wanted to like this stuff, I really did. It seems like it would be good for your skin and I like the idea of a lighter coverage instead of something more intense like you get with regular foundation. But...for me, this product was a double wammy of suck. First, it made my skin break out and I got more pimples on my chin and forehead in just a couple of days than I have had in YEARS. And then, it doesn't give the coverage necessary to cover them up! I'm mad, because this crap was not cheap. I wish it worked for me like it did for everyone else, but I guess I just have really picky skin. :(

  • Vaseline Sheer Infusion with Stratys-3
    5.0

    Vaseline Sheer Infusion with Stratys-3

not impressed...and I'm also more broke now.

I guess I'm a sucker for fancy advertising...Vaseline bought out a whole TV channel to advertise this brand new breakthrough lotion, so I figured I'd try it out. I bought it in the Mineral-whatever scent, and I found the fragrance to be pretty overwhelming. It also claims to moisturize through several layers of skin, which I think it does, but it also sits on top of my skin and make my clothes stick to me, which drives me crazy. I guess it keeps me moisturized for 24 hours or so, which is good, but I found it to be a little much. I don't think the quality or moisturizing ability is anything special, especially for the pretty penny you shell out for this stuff. I guess they have to charge more so they could pay for their ridiculous cirque-de-soleil-ish advertising campaign, which I admit I was suckered into...oh well, I'm just glad I bought the smaller bottle instead of the bigger one.

  • John Frieda Luxurious Volume Forever Full Hairspray

This hairspray does an awesome job of adding some volume and texture to my hair without weighing it down. Sometimes I use it with the mousse of the same kind, but lots of times I just use this and do an all-over as I toss my hair around. It looks kind of silly. This doesn't have an amazing hold factor, but it keeps my hair texturized all day and doesn't turn greasy and gross.

  • John Frieda Luxurious Volume Perfectly Full Mousse

I have really fine, pretty straight hair that's really easily weighed down, and while not perfect, this mousse is the best I've tried. It does add volume to my hair and keeps it there for a long time, just as long as I don't use too much. The hold factor isn't spectacular, but if I finish with the matching hairspray I'm all good for almost the whole day :)

  • Frizz-Ease Curl Around Style-Starting Daily Conditioner

I don't know how this conditioner does it! It gives some extra texture to my hair which is otherwise pretty straight, and I find it really good to use when I have shorter more piece-y hairstyles. It conditions well without weighing my hair down, and I really dig it. :)

  • Frizz-Ease Curl Around Style-Starting Daily Shampoo

This shampoo does a good job of getting my hair clean, and it smells good too. I love this paired with the matching conditioner, because they really do bring out the texture in my otherwise pretty straight hair. I like to use it when I have really short hairstyles because I get a pretty cool result :) I find it a little expensive for the amount you get, but otherwise a good product.

  • John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Light Reflecting Moisturizing Conditioner

I tried this conditioner and the matching moisturizing shampoo one winter because I love the versions of these products for daily use, but in teh winter I need a little something extra to keep my hair from getting static-y. This conditioner made the color rad just like the other products do, but it did NOTHING in terms of adding extra moisture to my hair. I couldn't tell a difference at all. So I guess I don't get to use these products in the wintertime. :(
