I own these in two different colours and love how pigmented they are. I've heard a few bad reviews about this product, but I think it's due to the fact that it's not easy at first to find a perfect application technique. After watching some YouTube videos, I find that it's best applied with a stippling brush. You can use one from ELF's "Studio" line brushes (the small stippling brush works very well); it's only three dollars on their website and very often they have 50% off sales, so it won't break the bank or anything...;) And you only need a very tiny amount of this blush on your cheeks, because the color is so pigmented. I would however say the cream blushes are not for those with very oily skin, as a general rule, unless you use a very matting foundation underneath. So I would recommend to avoid it if your skin is oily. But if you like cream blushes in general, this, when applied properly will give you a very healthy dewy look, and very little bit goes a long way, so I believe it to be a good product, especially when you factor in the price. Would definitely recommend this for cream blush users... ;)

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Gold Ultra Lift and Strengthening Eye Capsules
Did not enjoy using these and didn't notice any benefits...
I don’t know really… I feel kind of guilty, giving this product five stars because it claims to have restorative properties and contain amazing ingredients, but I just didn’t get or feel any benefits of any of those on myself… I do love the container these little capsules came in and I still have it and plan to use it for something else… Maybe Advil or Tylenol, in case I get a headache or something... But no, I wouldn’t repurchase this ever and don’t recommend this to anyone… If any of you have ever used vitamin E or have squeezed vitamin E out of its capsule – this is exactly what these feel and smell like: vitamin E. I occasionally squeeze a capsule or two onto my skin if it feels extremely dry, and I’ve used it on scars in the past, so I do know the scent, color and texture of it pretty well… Noticed absolutely no difference between these capsules and the vitamin E capsules… They are just as messy as the vitamin E capsules, not any more absorbent, so your skin feels just as greasy and oily after these as it does after using the vitamin E capsules… If you’ve never used vitamin E, it’s almost the same feeling as rubbing some olive or vegetable oil onto your skin… So maybe if these capsules could somehow be more absorbent and less oily, I would have noticed or felt the benefits of the ingredients contained in them, but since my skin never got a chance to hold on to that stuff, I didn’t notice any restorative effect on my eyes, face or throat, as this product claims to have. And no, I would not recommend this to anyone… If you can afford to spend a little bit more, invest in a good serum, such as Lancôme’s “Généfique” or Estée Lauder’s “Advanced Recovery Complex”… I know that they are a bit more pricey, but you are guaranteed to see results with those…

This cream has a very light, pleasant scent and feels extremely silky when you pick it up with your fingers… I don’t really know how to explain it properly… It’s like when you eat the “Haagen Dazs” ice cream and you just feel that it’s so much smoother than other ice creams… That’s how this cream feels to me… I don’t know if it’s because it’s well homogenized or just has a silk like ingredient in it but it feels incredibly smooth and silky… The scent is lightly rosy or floral I would say, but it’s not very noticeable, so I don’t think it would bother anyone, even if you are not crazy about this particular scent. So I got this for normal/combination skin, which is what I have… When I apply this cream it feels very good on my face and doesn’t irritate it in any way, which is great because my skin can be sensitive to some products… I feel like it moisturizes my face extremely well, but it never gets completely absorbed by my skin which would definitely be a problem if I were to use it under my makeup… After using it for a couple of weeks, I can tell you that my skin feels softer and more moisturized and maybe that makes the fine lines appear less prominent… I’m not sure… I’m in my mid-thirties, so the fine lines I got around my eyes are still there but are just less harsh… I personally don’t believe that any cream can make your wrinkles or fine lines disappear, so the fact that I can make them look less noticeable is good news to me. So basically, I believe that this cream is a very good moisturizer which softens the look of wrinkles and fine lines over time… I would recommend it as a night moisturizer, but definitely not to be used before applying makeup…

I got the in the color “Up In Smoke”, and I love it… But! It’s important that I mention that I got it as a gift, because I would never spend 27 dollars on a lip gloss (unless I was a millionaire of course)… So the reason I’m giving this one 9 starts is because no matter how good it is, I still think that high end brands’ glosses are ridiculously overpriced… Having said that, I will definitely agree with all those who love the quality and the effect this gloss creates on your lips. I use mine on top of other glosses or lipsticks as a highlight in the middle of my lower lip and it works amazingly… It gives a very natural shine to your lips because the sparkles it contains are very fine and are completely unnoticeable, thus giving your lips a much more sophisticated look than a gloss with large sparkle would give. I also disagree with those who say that this gloss is too sticky… Yes, it’s sticky to some extent, but on the other hand, if it wasn’t sticky at all then it wouldn’t really last, and I find that this one has a pretty good staying power, which is a big plus for me. And I love the fact that it doesn’t leave any residue on your lips and it’s not a problem at all if you need to reapply it. I find that with some other glosses, there is a weird sticky residue around your lips and you always have to kind of wipe it off before applying more to your lips… So yes, if you can afford this easily, I would definitely recommend this gloss to you, but if you are on a budget, you can definitely find other brands with very high shine glosses, which are much more affordable, such as “NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss” ($5 for one or $10 for three on their website)…

Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal 24H Rich Hydraying Cream
More suitable for very dry skin, in my opinion...
I prefer this one in a “gel” version… My skin is between normal and combination, so I’m never sure what to get for it… A lot of times (such as in this case) I’ll buy two products hoping that one of them will work, unless I’ve read reviews or know someone who can recommend me one or the other… So this cream ended up being much too thick and greasy for my skin. I actually think that it would be a lot more appropriate for dry skin and not “normal to dry”. This is a very thick cream, with a silky, slightly powdery consistency… It goes on your skin very smoothly and at first it does feel very silky and light, but the problem for me was that it never really got absorbed by my skin and left it feeling and looking very greasy. Also, if you are sensitive to fragrance in your facial creams you will definitely not like this one. It has a very strong odour… To me it smells like a mixture of grass and baby powder… I also wouldn’t recommend this cream as a base for your makeup or even your primer because it’s not very absorbent and seems to somehow bypass the pores on your face, thus making them look larger under any makeup you would put on top of it… So if I were to recommend this to anyone, then it would be someone with very dry skin, looking for a night time moisturizer for their face and who would not be bothered by the fragrance in this cream… And if you have normal skin, then I would recommend that you go with the “24H Intense Hydrating Gel Cream” (the gel version of this product)… Even the gel version is quite thick in my opinion, but is a lot lighter than this cream…

"YR" used to have a "Pure Calmille" gel moisturizer which I loved and used all the time, until they discontinued it. So this is the closest alternative to it for those who loved "Pure Calmille" as much as I did. It's a bit thicker though, so it's not as gel like as "Pure Calmille" but it's still very light yet it does deliver moisture to your skin without making it feel greasy. I have combination skin, so it's not easy for me to find a good moisturizer. Another one I like a lot is "L'Oréal", "Hydrafresh", just to give you an idea of something that I would compare this to. I can get this a lot cheaper though because they often have 50% off sales on their website. I do have to mention though that this gel looks more like a cream, but I guess they call it "gel" because it works in a similar way... So if you are looking for a light moisturizer and have sensitive or combination skin, I would definitely recommend this to you.

This, together with their “Moisturizing Oil” is one of my favourite body lotions of all times… My skin tends to be very dry and itchy in the winter and I need something that will moisturize it, as well as calm it down if it’s gotten to the point of being irritated by my scratching it uncontrollably… So for this particular purpose, this lotion really does wonders… I love the way it smells, and I love knowing that it has chamomile, lavender and ylang-ylang oils which are all known for their soothing and relaxing properties… This lotion absorbs into my skin almost immediately after I put it on… I usually use right after taking my shower, and I find that it lasts all day… I can still feel it on my skin before going into the shower at night, and my skin is considerably less itchy… I also love the fact that it’s completely non-greasy and doesn’t leave any kind of sheen on your skin or anything like that… If that’s the look you are going for than the “Moisturizing Oil” (the pink capped bottle) which I also love, is very good for that… If I were to come up with a “con” for this product, the only thing I can think of is that with this lotion, it is actually possible to use too much of it. I wouldn’t recommend reapplying it after you’ve already applied it… I had once put too much of it on and ended up with a sort of waxy residue on my skin. I don’t really know how to explain it properly, but it’s the kind of residue you notice when you rub your fingers on your skin and realize that you are getting tiny little waxy kind of balls all over your fingers, so use it moderately… ;)

I was really surprised at how much I actually loved this conditioner, considering that I got it on sale for only $3.99... And I'm equally surprised at a couple of 1 and 2 star reviews, mentioning that their hair was left incredibly dry after using this conditioner... So I hope that I'm reviewing the same product here... Mine says "Smooth & Silky", "touchable softness", "with Moroccan argan oil"... My hair is very fine, oily at the roots and dry at the ends (as I think is the case with most of us)... Since my hair is fine, it's very easily weighed down by greasy, heavy conditioners, so I'm always on a lookout for something that will condition my hair and not leave it flat or looking like I haven't washed it in a week... And I honestly think that this conditioner is one of the best ones I have tried so far... I usually stick to sulphate-free shampoos, but since conditioners don't contain sulphates (the ones I've tried at least) I'm always trying different brands... So far, I'm on my third bottle of this one, so this is a good indication that it's working...| I don't know how it would be on thicker hair, but I would definitely recommend it to someone with fine hair, looking for a good, light conditioner that won't weigh down their hair... The only not-so-positive thing I’ve noticed about this conditioner is when I rinse it off with warm water, the scent kind of changes a bit, and isn’t as pleasant as when you smell it out of the bottle… But, when your hair is dry, it smells amazing and keeps this scent all day long… My boyfriend noticed that as well and that’s always a good thing. So definitely yes to this conditioner. Non-greasy, light, pleasant, long-lasting scent and conditions hair well. ;)

I know that a lot of people love this concealer, but I personally didn't find it that good. After about 2 hours, it started creasing (even though I used a primer), and it oxidized a bit and became more orangy at the end of the day. So if you are not wearing this all day, it's okay, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who puts their makeup on in the morning and expects it to last all day. However, I should probably say that for someone with no fine lines or any sort of imperfections under their eyes, as well as very slight discoloration, as opposed to visible dark circles - this could be a great concealer. I did like the texture and the way it felt when I was applying it under my eyes. It is very light, not sticky at all and doesn't dry out too quickly, allowing you to distribute it evenly. But since I do have fine lines under my eyes, this concealer settled in them quite quickly, unfortunately... ;( The coverage is light to medium. And I imagine that you could build it if you didn't have to worry about the creasing... But I still can't really recommend this product because most people I know do have concerns about products creasing or settling in fine lines...

This brush does wonders for the crease of your eye. If you are a fan of the smoky eye look, then you are going to love this brush. I used to use the blending brush by "Quo" (I think this brand is only sold in Canada), which I actually love equally as much, but unfortunately don't have a chance to review on this site. Now I still love my "Quo" brush but my friend who has a pro MAC card, gave me this brush as gift because she uses it religiously every single day, and that's what I've been using for the last couple of months. Honestly, nothing bad to say about it. It's everything you want in a blending brush. I happen to use it religiously for my crease, but it works just as well if you are just blending your shadows together, because it's not extremely pointy or tapered. In my opinion, if you are someone who uses eye makeup on a daily basis - you've got to have this brush. Soft enough, but not too soft, the size is perfect for blending as well as adjusting the height of your crease, and it feels so gentle on your eye, that you just want to keep on blending even after your eye looks perfect already. ;) I feel like it's impossible to mess your eyes up when you finish your look with this brush. Even if you're not a pro with eye shadow application, this brush will make it look like you are! Even if you only use two shades of shadow, you can blend them to perfection with this brush and achieve a killer look... As a side note, I would like to add that if you live in Canada and can't afford this brush, get the "Quo" blending brush from "Shoppers" and I swear it is just as amazing and will cost one third of the price. "Quo" brushes are actually pretty famous in Canada. Their pro line is comparable to MAC and higher end brands, and don't cost nearly as much, so if any of you guys in the US can get your friend to get them for you, you won't regret it... So definitely yes, if you are a fan of MAC brushes and want to add another one to your collection, or if you are just starting out your collections, then this is definitely one of the must-haves. You just really always need at least one good blending brush because eye makeup is all about blending. You can use bad eye shadow with a good blending brush and achieve amazing results, but not the other way around...
