I love this lip gloss! The first thing I noticed about it and fell in love with was the scent (as was the case with my "YSL" lipstick). It smells very different from the lipstick but just as heavenly.... I really don't know how they do it... This one smells like cherries. But not cherries as in "candied cherries" - it's a much more sophisticated cherry scent... More like very naturally ripened black cherries... You just can't stop smelling it. I swear I'm not making it up, sometimes when I think about this gloss, or see it in my make up drawer I'll open it up just so I can smell it - that's how much I love the smell! The gloss! It gives such a brilliant gloss to your lips! And when I say gloss, I really mean gloss - not sparkle. The sparkles in this gloss are very fine, so when you put this on your lips, they have this diamond effect gloss without looking glittery at all. It's just beautiful! I like the texture as well... Sometimes I feel like it could be just tiny bit less sticky to be absolutely perfect, but then I tell myself that if it was, then it wouldn't las as long. And I do like the fact that it has a very decent staying power. You really don't have to reapply it every hour. Even when I eat, it doesn't completely come off my lips and some always stays on, so it doesn't just glide off your lips like butter, as is the case with many other glosses. So yes, I like everything about his lip gloss and would definitely and highly recommend it to all. It is a bit expensive, but you will see a difference and if you reserve it for those special occasion, it will last you for a very long time... ;)

The first thing I immediately noticed and fell in love with was the scent. This lipstick just smells like heaven. I'm smelling it as I write this review, but I really don't know how to describe it well... To me, it kind of smells like roses, cream and candy at the same time, but in a very delicate way... The scent is subtle and non-intrusive at all.. Such is the case with one of my lip glosses with "YSL" as well. Some of their products just have the most amazing scents and flavour as well. So I have this in #5 (Beige Etrusque)... To be honest, I don't know about the beige part, because to me, this is more of a light mauve/dusty rose colour. And I absolutely love it. It feel amazing on the lips and it tastes and smells great. People have commented on this colour, and it seems to me that every time I wear it, someone will ask me what I'm wearing on my lips... It's matt but not in a drying way, just very elegantly matt. You can, of course, use a lip gloss over it, but I don't find that I need to because the colour is so amazing - I just don't want to alter it in any way with other products. And since it's not drying at all, I have absolutely no problems wearing it on its own. It lasts a pretty decent amount of time. But if you are drinking or eating, you will, of course need to reapply it, because it's not a stain... I really can't say anything bad about this lipstick. If I could afford it, I think I would get one in every colour and wear them every single day. Completely in love with this lipstick and would definitely recommend it to all! ;)

I love this blush. I think that if anyone can end up not liking it, it would only be because they haven't found their colour or haven't found the proper way of using it. So I got this in two different shades: "Rose Romantique" and "Brilliant Berry". I have repurchased both of them. I tend to use "Rose Romantique" in the summer and "Brilliant Berry" in the winter. This blush is extremely pigmented, so I can see how someone might immediately use too much and decide that they hate it. Or they might not like the colour choices because they assume that this is the exact colour that will end up on their cheeks. Yes, of course you can build it up the that exact colour if you need to, but the good thing is that you only need a tiny little dab of the brush on every cheek to give it a perfect colour, just enough for your blush to look natural. And it's important to know that. Then, you can take it as far as you think you need to. I don't. Because I like my cheeks very natural. My skin is very pale and anything too extreme just doesn't look good on it. I find that in order to get away with those looks you really need to have perfect skin, which is definitely not my case... Anyway, what I want to say is don't be afraid if the colour looks too intense and remember that when you apply it on our cheek lightly, you will only see a fraction of what you are seeing on display at the store... This blush is very blendable, so using a good brush is a must as well. Never underestimate the power of a good brush. So just a tiny amount, good brush, and this will stay on all day and you will look naturally fabulous! Would definitely recommend to all... ;)

Two of my most favourite products from Blistex are the beige and the blue (medicated) lip balm jars. I got this one because I thought that it would add more shine to my lips, as well as protect and hydrate them. First of all, it feels very cold on the lips, so if that's something you thing you will enjoy, then good for you ;). I did not enjoy that at all... Your lips will definitely look shiny when you apply it, and they will feel hydrated. What I didn't like is that it feel and tastes as if I dipped my lips in vegetable oil. I can't think of a better way to describe it because that's exactly what it feels and tastes like. So no matter what the benefits are, I just couldn't take that feeling on my lips, and found myself not using it more than two or three times after I had purchased it. I left this in our washroom and told my boyfriend to use it if he likes it, and he did try it, but said that it felt weird and oily. He actually made a joke, because prior to that he had bought a 10 liter container of greek olive oil. So after he had tried this balm, he asked me to let him know when I need a refill... lol... This made me laugh so much, that I remember saying to myself that if I ever review this product anywhere at all, I have to make sure to include this in my review... So if you can get past the taste and feel of vegetable oil on your lips then you might discover the hydrating benefits of this balm, but I definitely didn't get that far with this product, so I can't recommend this as a good product.

In general, I'm a big fan of Blistex... My two most favourite products from Blistex are the beige and the blue (medicated) lip balm jars. I religiously use one or the other every single day. We have both because my boyfriend has a preference for the blue one, and I tend to reach more for the beige one. So because I like those two so much, I decided that this could be a good companion to our Blistex couple, because it would add a bit of shine to my lips, as well as protect and moisturise them. And I feel bad giving this a bad review, seeing that it was rated well by the editors, but I honestly found that this didn't add any shine to my lips at all. My lips didn't feel that moisturised either, and to top it all off it left kind of like pasty residue all over my lips. So I've only used it a couple of times and then just trashed it, because I couldn't really give this away to anyone... I didn't feel like I was making a personal choice when I realized I didn't like it - I just found it not to be a good product, because who wants their lips to be pasty, right? And if it looks so pasty, how could it possibly moisturise my lips... I mean, it's got to get in my lips in order to moisturise them, right? This just kind of covers them up with this weird looking substance... So no, definitely thumbs down from me for this one. I'm only giving this five stars because I don't want to bring the brand down with my review, and there are a few products I tried and liked made by Blistex, as well as the Balm jars I'm religiously using...

I must admit that I personally use the beige one (the non-medicated one) more, simply because I like the scent so much and my lips are not very chapped, so I don't necessarily need the medication. But!!! I do use this one quite often as, well and my boyfriend actually swears by it. He plays a lot of hockey, so he spends a lot of time in arenas and in the cold in general, and this stuff really works! And I can definitely testify to that better than anyone else. And it's not that he's just used to using this one - not at all... He tried other ones, but he always tells me that there is nothing better than the blue Blistex. I think all of us, every once in a blue moon, try different products because someone else will say that it's a miracle and it makes us feel like we are missing out. But in this case, we decided not to mess with a good thing. So we always have a couple of lip products in our night table, and in the kitchen, as well as some other random areas of the house, but this one (as the beige one as well) are always around. My boyfriend actually remembers that we need to get it when we run out of it, and he NEVER remembers anything we need to get when we go out shopping... ;) So if you need a little extra moisture on your lips, especially if you live in a cold climate, or if you bite your lips a lot, I would definitely recommend this as a lip product. And for all the guys out there, don't forget that you need to take care of your lips and make sure that they are always kissable and girl-friendly! ;)

I think no matter what else you use on your lips, you've got to have at least one of these!!! To be honest, I like the blue one (the medicated one) just as well, but this one just smells so much better to me. And since I don't have very chapped lips and don't necessarily need it to be medicated, this one is hydrating and healing enough for me. I have a few lip products in my night table drawer and a few of them always laying around in different parts of the house, and this one (together with the blue one, because my boyfriend swears by the blue one) is always around. Especially in the winter, when we all need as much moisture and protection on our lips as we can get - this is such a savior!!! And it just feel amazing on your lips. You put it on, and immediately your lips feel softer, they look healthier and moisturised without looking like you have ton of lip gloss on. It just gives them a natural satiny finish, and makes your lips look and feel amazing. And I can definitely tell you that it is effective, because there are times when I bite my lips, especially when it gets colder and drier, and this makes them heal so fast. It's glides on your lips very smoothly, doesn't make them feel oily or greasy - just moisturised. And even when you feel like it's all gone and you need to apply more, you can still feel the effect of it on your lips. The taste is very neutral and is completely non-intrusive, so it definitely isn't something that could bother anyone. And whenever we run out of the blue one, my boyfriend has absolutely no problems using this one, so it's suitable for men just as well. And I would definitely recommend this balm to all. ;)

You know, I feel embarrassed to give this brush less than 9 stars simply because the quality is amazing. And if you factor in the price - theoretically there should be no cons, right? But I am a little perplexed by this brush. Presently, I have four of the "Studio" line brushes which I use every single day: the powder brush (for foundation), the kabuki (for powder), the perfect concealer (for concealer) and the small tapered brush for contouring, highlighting and bronzing. So now the reason the complexion brush confuses me if that I don't know what to use it for. In my opinion, it is too big to be used for blush or bronzer or contouring of any kind. It's a little too stiff to be used with powder. Maybe it's due to the fact that I use light coverage powder and these bristles just aren't soft enough to disperse the powder. I guess it would be better used with powder if you are looking for a heavier coverage... You could almost stipple with this. And I know you might be thinking: Why not just pick up a little powder and kind of lightly go all over your face with this brush? But that's just it. You can't do it lightly because the bristles will move your foundation (if you use foundation) or blush. And if you are using cream blush - forget about this brush as a setting tool... But I still think that the quality of the brush versus the price is amazing. It is very fluffy and very natural feeling and very dense. That could be the issue for me actually. Maybe it's just a little too dense for me... In any case, I don't want to say that the brush is bad, but I did want to point out that it can not be used for blush (unless you use blush all over your cheeks), bronzer or light coverage powders. And it's definitely not flat enough to be used with foundation. If I were to recommend this, I would recommend it for blending your face products together. And ONLY if you haven't used foundation or cream blush. Or of you use a very matting and drying foundation, like Estée Lauder Longwear or Clinique Everlasting...

I'm one of those people who collect "Baby Lips" because I love them so much... It would be too long of a review if I were to describe every single one of them, and if you are looking for swatches and things like that, then YouTube would be a better place for them... There are tons of reviews on them out there... But if you asked me why I like them, I'd say that it's a little bit of everything: the scent, the feel on your lips, the fact that they have that little hint of colour, but not too much, so that your lips look moisturised and yet still natural (except for some very opaque colours in the "Electro" collection), even the tube itself... You really have to try at least one of them and you'll understand why so many people are addicted to these... And by the way, if you are just discovering "Baby Lips" and you decide to try one or two, don't be thrown of by the colour of these balms. Most of them (except for just a couple in the "Electro Collection") are very sheer and will give you just a hint of the colour you are seeing. These really aren't lipsticks or lip butters - they really are just moisturisers with a hint of colour. They don't stay very long on your lips, but honestly, they smell and feel so good that you will want to reapply them all day long even if you don't need to. And instead of going to your local drug store, I would recommend going to "Wallmart" or "Target" because they are always $3 in those places, where as at a drug store you will sometimes have to pay as much as double of that. Check out their new "Dr. Rescue" collection as well - great option for the upcoming winter! ;)

I had this in "translucent" and I must say that I really liked the texture and the feel of it on my face. I actually used the whole thing, which doesn't happen very often with me when it comes to powders. The only thing that bothered me is that the colour was still a little too warm for me, and I couldn't find a better match for my skin. So when I went back I got the "translucent" shade again but in the "mosaic" type powder formulation, and loved it! Even better than this one. So that's why I'm giving this one 8 stars... It was almost perfect. And by the way, that was about 8 years ago, so now I religiously use the mosaic kind in "translucent"... ;) What I liked about this powder was that it was very light, and allowed a very thin application, while still balancing out my complexion. It feels like it lets your skin breathe when you wear it, and you can retouch if you need too, and it won't look cakey. When it wasn't very hot it would last me all day though. And at the risk of repeating myself, I think that it's important to note that it really looks very natural on your face. Some of my friends would swear that I'm not wearing any powder or foundation when I had this on. This is the case with my "mosaic" type powder in "translucent" as well. If you are looking for a non-irritating, non-intrusive way to even out your complexion and don't need heavy coverage (as in MAC Studio Fix heavy) you will like this powder, because it will give you a natural overall finish. And I forgot to say that it's completely unscented, which is a very good news for those of us with sensitive skin.
