  • Revlon Colorstay Mineral Eye Shadow

I heard these were getting good reviews but was never tempted to try them as I already have so many brown/neutral eyeshadows, but CVS was selling it for 2 dollars so I decided to risk it. My trio is quite lovely, nothing out of the ordinary colorwise but that does not negate the prettiness of these shadows. I put these colors over the Revlon Illuminance Cream shadow in Skinlight and ended up with a sheer, goldeny brown look that lasted at least the whole day. Good for a light and more natural look or for when you want to wear a more bold lipcolor.

Revlon Beyond Natural Cream to Powder Eyeshadow

I tried but I just can't get it to work for me.

I thought this product would be like Revlon's Illuminance cream shadows so I picked out the quad Plumberry with the eyeliner Plumberry included for free at Walmart. Unfortunately these are quite different than the regular cream shadows. I cannot get them to work by themselves, over L'oreal's decrease base, or with loose powder or eyeshadow over them. It creases and disappears on me. Its a shame because the colors look really pretty and natural but I just can't find a way to get them to work. At least the eyeliner worked out.

  • Maybelline New York Lash Stylist Washable Mascara

I have seen this mascara around for awhile and skipped over it because I figured a comb for mascara was a bad idea. Wouldn't all the mascara cake up on the brush? So when I saw this for 2 bucks at Big Lots I figured it was a small price to pay if the product was absolutely horrible, and I'm obsessed with mascaras and have to try them all. The mascara does go on a bit thick but not goopy or clumpy, the comb separates pretty well. My only problem is that it makes my lashes look more short and fat than lengthened. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, it can be good for when I want more dense lashes, just not what I expected from this mascara. This also hasn't smudged or flaked on me. This isn't too shabby a mascara, but just not my favorite.

  • Maybelline New York ExpertWear Twin Brow & Eye Liner

I like how smooth this color glides on, but that's about it, It also doesn't seem to be the most pigmented. Unfortunately the color I got is way wrong for me. I have black hair and I wanted to try a dark brown instead of black to fill in my eyebrows so I picked this up because it is so cheap, and if it didn't work for my brows, it could work as eyeliner, right? Nope, The color is a medium, reddish brown, too light and red for my brows and not dark enough to be visible as eyeliner, nor can I tightline with this, it just doesn't show up then. If I dye my hair burgundy or red this might come in handy... but its otherwise useless to me.

  • Maybelline New York Volum' Express The Colossal Washable Mascara

I got this mascara to compare to Covergirl's Lash Blast, and it does lengthen and volumnize more. But it flakes like crazy and easily clumps. According to the instructions you are supposed to apply a second coat of mascara before the first one dries but is still gets clumpy and is probably the reason why it flakes on me. It does have a pleasant rose scent that is unusual for a product like this. Maybe if you stick with one coat it will work better. Update: I have continued to work with this mascara and now that it has dried out a little( I think that's why it would get clumpy on me) I find that it gives beautiful results now. My lashes look very full yet still separated and defined, even a bit lengthened. Best of all, my lashes feel soft, not crunchy or hard. It does still flake on me from time to time but not as much as when I first purchased it.

    Country Woods and Urban Basics

Country Woods was perfect for me in High School because the colors are much sheerer than what they appear in the quad; great if you want a light, more natural look with shimmer. But I'm not in high school anymore and wanted some more color payoff so I tried Urban Basics, newer than my 9 year old Country Woods Quad. Unfortunately the formulation hasn't improved. Beautiful colors, but barely show up. Bottom line: great if you're just starting out in school, not so great when you want to actually wear the colors shown in the quad.

  • L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine Lipcolour

This is pretty sparkly which I'm not sure too many people out of their teens will be interested in. I did not even know this was supposed to be plumping because it does not. The color I have is Diva and it is a very pretty color. This is not too sticky nor does it feel gritty even though it has glitter in it. This is overall a decent gloss but I find myself not using it much because of the amount of glitter. Update: Despite what I felt about the original color I have, Diva, I decided to try out some other colors because they looked pretty and were only a dollar at Big Lots. I picked up Muse and Goddess, and since both of these are lighter, nude shades I find that the glitter doesn't bother me so much, in fact I find them to be quite pretty layered over light pink lipsticks, it gives them more dimension.

    Robert Smith hair made easy

This is a fun product to play around with your hair. As soon as I received this I decided to put this cobwebby pomade all over my hair to create a Robert Smith messy-goth look. (I'm semi-goth). It can be sticky and heavy if you apply a ton like I did, yet it is still pliable, if you don't like your hair it is easy to restyle it, or to refresh it. Despite how this is a bit like glue it washes out surprisingly easy. This also has a nice fruity scent, my fiance even commented on it. I think this will be even more fun if I cut my hair in a pixie again for a great piecey or messy look.

    Sebastian Whipped Creme

Whipped cream has never been better

This is a great conditioning styling cream that leaves my hair soft, smooth, bouncy and frizz-free yet not greasy, sticky or crunchy. Actually this is so conditioning that I am able to skip using my leave-in conditioning cream (I've been abusive to my hair) and my hair feels even better than if I had used the leave-in conditioner. I wash my wavy hair at night so I put this in, scrunch my hair a lot and it still keeps my waves in the morning. I just use a little more in the morning on my dry hair to smooth things out and I'm done, and my hair still isn't weighed down or greasy. Smell is good too, doesn't have an obviously chemical smell like you used a hair product, just a "clean" scent. The way this dispenses is exactly like whipped cream, not like a standard sticky foaming mousse. I love that this combines a smoothing cream with the ability to maintain and create more defined waves/curls without the crunchy, sticky, greasy, overloaded-with-4-different-products feeling.

Very pretty rose scent but too subtle

This scent is a very subtle, feminine and somehow fresh feeling. I did not notice the blackberry notes but the sandalwood and damask rose is easily detectable, the rose seems to be the most dominant scent. Luckily the woody notes were quite light so it does not have a musky or incense-like smell to me. Roses are one of my favorite fragrance but this perfume is so light when initially sprayed and then fades away. On the plus side, someone can smell it if they are sitting quite close to you; my sister-in-law commented that I smelled good, but then I'm not sure if it wasn't my hairspray she was smelling. I really enjoyed this fragrance but would not pay the price for something so subtle and not terribly unique.
