Jane Be Pure Mineral Gel Eyeliner

Jane Be Pure Mineral Gel Eyeliner in Dark Brown

I was looking for a cheap waterproof eyeliner that looked like or actually was liquid eyeliner because even the nicest liquid eyeliners, if you accidentally put too much on (which I frequently do) can start to flake off. I had tried one waterproof liquid liner before but it was like paint, and would "peel" off instead of flaking. Hence the Jane Be Pure Gel liner. Its the cheapest drugstore version of gel liner, actually cheaper than the average waterproof liquid liner, so I decided to give it a try. I can't believe I did not get this sooner! It does not smudge, and really is water-resistant until you wash off your makeup. It is way easier than putting on the easiest of liquid liners. The brush that comes with it is actually incredibly useful; after hearing others complain about L'oreal HIP's cream liner brush I was afraid I would have to purchase a separate brush, but not for this. I tried it in dark brown (I usually get black) and it is quite a deep brown, almost brownish black. Buy this! I will be getting the other colors now!

  • Revlon Crushed Velvet Lip Creme

This is a deep color but not black like on the outside of the tube. This goes on smooth and doesn't feel drying like some lipsticks. There is also a bit of sparkle to them. I found mine at Big Lots for only 2 dollars so if you see them they are worth a try.

  • Revlon Midnight Swirl Lip Lustre

Like others have said this is not nearly as dark as what it appears in the tube, but for me that is great. Mine is actually like a medium plum on my lips, and it has a light, pleasant scent to it, some sort of food but I'm not sure what. The color has a medium amount of shine with some sparkle, and not too sticky. Unfortunately I can only find mine at Big Lots now.

Revlon Super Lustrous Shiny Sheers Lipstick

Too bad they are hard to find now

These are my favorite lipsticks! I got 3 on clearance from Target and all have been great, sheer colors for me. Since the lipstick is slimmer than the regular kind and sheerer they are easy to apply even without a mirror, especially if you don't have time to check if there is lipstick on your teeth. I didn't notice any smells with mine; just shiny, moisturizing lipcolor that feels smooth to apply. And SPF to boot!

  • Maybelline New York Moisture Extreme Lipcolor

This is a great, moisturizing lipstick, especially for the price. The color I have is a darker pink that feels creamy on the lips. The only con is the odd scent it has; I've heard it smells like watermelon to some but to me it smells like lanolin, a product from sheep used very frequently in cosmetics and lotions because of it moisturizing properties. Other than that, this has been a great product and has a wide selection of shades to choose from.

  • Maybelline New York Dream Mousse Blush

This color isn't the most natural but it is a very light, pretty berryish color. I used this until I figured this was probably comedogenic, not good for my skin. Since then I have had to switch to Revlon's cream blush, which does not clog pores. For those that do not mind the last part; this is a very soft, easy to blend and easy to build up color. It was great for when my skin felt more dry.

  • CoverGirl Lipslicks Lipgloss

This lipslick shade is a deep, bronzey color but comes off light and natural with a bit of shine on my beige skintone. This is like a tinted lip balm, but a little less moisturizing. Mine in particular has a slight chemical smell and has this strange effect of making my lips AND my throat feel a bit dry as I breathe in the scent. Perhaps I got a bad one but otherwise the color and shine is great.

  • CoverGirl TruShine Lipcolor

This color appears as a deep plum in the tube but comes off a shade lighter, making it easier for me to wear on my light beige/olive skin. This color is like your own natural shade but has a bit more pigment and shine. This is truly easy to wear because it is sheerer than what you expect and seems to actually work with your skin color. The only cons to this lipstick is that it felt a little dry and not very smooth to apply, it works better with a lip balm on first.

    CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadows

    Golden Sunrise and Platina

I have a Colorblast shade in Golden Sunrise (medium goldeny color) and an original Eye Enhancer in Patina (dark gray). Patina does not have as good color pay off as Golden Sunrise. I was looking for a darker gray color that turned out more medium gray, which isn't so bad if you are going for a subtle look. The Golden Sunrise shade surprised me because it seems like it is a lot closer to coming off as the shade in the pan. So if you are looking for greater color pay off I would suggest using the new Blast shades, I can only vouch for one but it seems like CoverGirl did a better job of making the colors show up. I give it seven stars for pretty colors but not the greatest color payoff.

  • L'Oreal Paris True Match Bronze Glow

This is the bronzer I use on days when my skin is more dry, as the bronzer is very liquidy and keeps my skin feeling moisturized. I have it in the color designated for Cool tones 1-3. It delivers a very light, warm shimmer to your face. The only thing I don't like is I have no idea what the ingredients are so I do not know if it is pore-clogging or not. So far it has not made me break out.
