I bought this because I wanted a more moisturizing shampoo to use during the winter. Since I have very fine, flat hair all of my other shampoos are either meant to create volume or to clarify. I have been using this about once a week for use between my other shampoos and I really like it. The smell is very light and unisex. It reminds me of a body wash my boyfriend would use, actually. I love that this is sulfate free because I have a sensitive scalp. Even without sulfates, this lathers really well for me. When I rinse this out, my hair feels clean and smooth. I was happy to find that despite being a moisturizing shampoo, this did not weigh my hair down. My scalp didn't get oily any sooner than with my normal volumizing shampoos either. This didn't feel as nourishing as some more high end moisturizing shampoos I have tried, but it does the trick for me since I don't have thick, coarse or damaged hair.

After using Tweezerman's mini slant tweezers for a few years I bit the bullet and purchased the full size. I am so glad that I upgraded! Unlike the minis, these come with free lifetime sharpening services from Tweezerman, which means that this will (assuming I don't lose these!) be the last pair of tweezers I will ever buy. A brand that stands behind their product with a lifetime service like that is wonderful and refreshing. That aside, these are amazing tweezers. The longer handle makes these super easy and comfortable to use. The razor sharp tweezers are precise and grab even those short, difficult hairs. I picked these up in red and they are classic and a little fun. The quality of these tweezers is top notch. If I lost these I would immediately run out and buy another pair. Other brands of tweezers I have tried can't even compare.

This is the first Kevyn Aucoin I have used and it is so amazing it makes me want to try more products from his line! This is a buttery soft powder that is a dream to apply. I apply this to the tops of my cheeks, my cupids bow and down my nose and it makes my skin look healthy and glowy, never glittery or too shiny. This is such a subtle highlighter that it blends into your natural skin so nicely. A lot of highlighters look entirely too obvious and do more harm than good. If you find that a lot of highlighters don't work for you, this is definitely one to try. Even though this is so subtle it can easily be built up for a more dramatic affect. This is the perfect everyday highlighting powder but I also love wearing this on nights out because it makes me feel really glamorous. This is unlike any other highlighting powder I have tried and I will definitely repurchase. LOVE THIS.

Since I was running out of my bottle of MAC Fix + I decided to give this a try. For less money you get way more product of the Avene Thermal Spring Water. This product is more simple though...I mean it is only water. I never really used Fix + to set my makeup, but more to refresh my skin or make my foundation and face makeup look less powdery and more smooth. The Thermal Spring Water does that too. I spray this on my face if I have applied too much foundation then go over my face with a blending brush to make the makeup look more natural and blended. The mist on this is much nicer than most. It sprays a very fine, even amount of water. I also like to use this to freshen brushes before I use them if they are stiff. On a warm day, this is great at cooling you down and adding moisture to your skin. Because the mist is so fine, my skin is able to absorb the water which has its benefits. This is essentially the same thing as the Evian Mineral Water Spray and is about the same price. It may seem silly to spend $16 on pure water for your face, but it definitely has its benefits.

I purchased this after hearing many positive reviews for it. I have dark circles and some fine lines under my eyes and it is always a challenge to both cover them up and to make the makeup last all day. I don't think that this product alone will conceal everything if you are like me and have dark circles. However, this does help to conceal and brighten the under eye area. It is not shimmery or obvious in any way like many other "brightening" products can be. I like to use a concealer that has more coverage under my eyes first, then I top it with this. This combination has really been working for me, especially on long work days. For more casual or shorter days, I do wear this on its own and it helps mask my dark circles, although not as well. The twist up pen design makes this really easy to apply directly wear you want it. I like to use a fluffy brush to blend it out but it also blends nicely with just fingers. This is much less expensive than the YSL version but still costs about $20 and doesn't provide much product. Still, I like using this in conjunction with my other products for the effect it gives.

I purchased this mainly for use on my under eye circles, which it is great for. Like others have mentioned, a little goes a long way. In fact, if you apply too much, it can go a little cakey. However, this is very easy to blend to get a smooth, even finish. This concealer is so versatile because it also works well on blemishes and blotchiness anywhere on my face. The formula works so well for dabbing on such imperfections. The color range for this is like many of the MAC face products, so you are sure to find a great match. This lasts all day under my eyes without creasing (I set with a powder as well). I think my little pot will last me for years. I have had this for about a year and I am no where near finished. If your eye area is dry at all, be sure to apply extra moisturizer or eye cream just before applying because the formula can be a bit drying. Most days I apply this over an eye cream and it is fine, but if I forget, I find that it drags on the delicate skin of the eye area. Whether you are looking for a concealer for blemishes or dark circles, this is likely to work for you.

One of my friends recommended the soft matte lip creams to me when we were at Ulta together. It took me a while to pick any up because the stock is always so picked over. I'm glad I finally got my hands on these though because I love them! They are so creamy and just glide over your lips with ease. It feels like a cross between a lip gloss and a matte lipstick. Unlike, the YSL Glossy Stains though, these dry down to a very matte finish. They end up looking just like a matte lipstick would. I often have the problem of lipsticks and lip stains settling into any dry skin or lines on my lips but these (thankfully!) did not do that. I would still recommend getting all the dead skin off your lips prior to applying for the most even application. The color lasted very well on me, remaining even and opaque. I reapply this after I have been drinking a lot or eating, but I still consider these to be long lasting. Even when the color wears off a bit, I still have a nice even base of color on my lips. I just reapply for the full on affect. These cost $5 and are a great product. If you can get your hands on these, I'd definitely recommend picking up a shade or two.

Since making the switch to aluminum free deodorants, I have been extremely underwhelmed by the effectiveness of most. I bought this spray from my local health foods store to use in conjunction with the solid natural deodorant to give it a longer lasting effect. This did no such thing. I have tried this on its own, sprayed before my solid deodorant and sprayed after, but it doesn't help at all. Using this alone, I developed odor in a few short hours. The citrus scent is light, but doesn't smell very natural. Luckily, it isn't long lasting or overpowering. I like that this is widely available, easy to apply and absorbs nicely, but I don't think this does anything to prevent odor. I understand that it won't do anything for sweating, but I'm OK with that. I don't sweat much anyway. But to be stinky at work by midday is just not acceptable, natural or not.

I decided to try this shampoo despite having very fine hair that tends to get oily at the roots by day two. I wanted to try a moisturizing shampoo for the winter months to offset all of the volumizing and clarifying shampoos I typically use. I have a couple Alterna styling products that I really like, but this is the first shampoo that I tried. First off, I love that this does not contain sulfates. I have a sensitive scalp so I really appreciate shampoos that are sulfate free because they tend to be less irritating. When I opened this the smell was divine. It is one of the best smelling shampoos I have ever used (on par with my favorite from Bumble and Bumble). For being sulfate free, this lathered really well in my fine hair. Although I prefer no sulfates, a good lather is important to me. After using this my hair felt silky smooth and very nourished. It didn't feel weighed down at all either. My oily scalp didn't return any sooner than usual which is what I was afraid of using a more moisturizing formula. When I blow dried, my hair felt silky smooth and still smelled amazing. This bottle is just a bit bigger than the standard Bumble and Bumble bottles and costs almost about $7 more, so it is an expensive product. However, I did prefer the performance of this to the Bumble and Bumble or Pureology shampoos. If you are willing to spend more money on hair care, this shampoo is a great splurge. This makes me want to try more shampoos from Alterna.

I had been looking for a serum with antioxidants in it to use under my moisturizer during the day. I love serums but find that they can be a bit greasy, take too long to absorb, or leave a tacky feeling on my skin which makes it very hard to use them during the day. I had heard about this product through Birchbox and was lucky to receive a deluxe sample of this through another beauty website. This treatment is a gel consistency that easily spreads over my face and absorbs almost instantly. I love the dispenser on this...one pump is the perfect amount for my whole face. Since this absorbs so nicely into my skin, I can apply my regular moisturizer with SPF right after and then apply whatever makeup I am going to wear. This works amazingly well under my moisturizer and my foundation. I am so thankful for this after trying several treatments that just don't work with other products. This feels really nice on my skin but I don't notice any "instant" effects. This product, combined with my whole skincare routine, has helped the appearance of my pores, but I don't think that this alone (or any one serum on its own) will work wonders. This has not broken me out and I do trust that by using this everyday, I am investing in the future of my skin. This contains vitamin E and hyaluronic acid in it which are great for treating and moisturizing the skin. This does contain fragrance so beware if you have sensitivity. It doesn't cause any irritation for me and actually smells quite nice, but the smell is a bit strong and I'd prefer there be no fragrance in any of my skincare products. There are a few other serum-type daytime treatments I want to look into before I commit, but this one is the best one I have tried for wearing under other products. It is definitely a contender for my next full size serum purchase.
