    c. Booth Honey Almond Body Butter

Scrumptious, Rich Pampering for Skin at a Bargain Price!

Summer or winter, dry, tight, itchy skin is irritating and unattractive. One of the BEST products I have ever used is C. Booth's "Honey Almond Body Butter." It is an ultra-rich, thick cream which comforts immediately and smells like a bakery in a tub (absolutely, positively scrumptious!). This is chock-full of ingredients to deeply nourish and hydrate: among them are mineral oil, glycerin, dimethicone (a skin protectant and emollient), beeswax, cocoa seed butter, aloe leaf juice, allantoin (an anti-irritant), shea butter, Vitamin E, and wheat germ and grape seed oils. Despite the plethora of softening ingredients, skin soaks it in and it remains non-greasy. Allow a few minutes for it to be completely absorbed before dressing. I would pay four or five times the $6.00 price tag for this! When you're at the beach or pool this summer, let your satin limbs complement your new bathing suit. This is a product you simply can't bypass!

Maybelline New York Volum' Express The Falsies Washable Mascara

    Length, Volume--And Clumping and Flaking!

This seemed to work quite well at first, as it gave me length, volume, and held the curl I tried hard to create with my Shu Uemura eyelash curler. But I noticed quite a bit of clumping and flaking, making application and wear a mess. I decided to give it second, third, fourth, and fifth try, and this was a no-go for me every time. Come on, Maybelline, you can make mascaras--try harder next time!

    c. Booth Walnut Shell Body Scrub & Cleanser

    Irresistible Clean, Soft, Smooth Skin

Imagine fresh-baked, hot Christmas cookies full of walnuts--right out of the oven. Now add the enticing scents of brown sugar and vanilla, and you've got the essence of this incredible body scrub. It's hard to resist the scent and concentrate on the benefits. Besides crushed walnuts to exfoliate and rid your body of dead, dry skin, it contains pumice and aloe vera leaf juice. I use it all year round to keep my limbs silky and my skin touchable. The price ranges about $8.00 for sixteen full ounces; this is a treat you can't afford to pass up (and it's calorie-free!).

    c. Booth Honey Almond Nourishing Bath & Body Wash

    Fragrant and Sumptuous Lather!

Honey has some amazing qualities. It has been recognized for its antiseptic, antibiotic, antifungal, and antibacterial properties. It's also a chief ingredient in this truly luscious shower/bath lotion. Also present are sweet almond oil, glycerin, Vitamins C and E, and hydrolyzed wheat protein. It is completely free of parabens and sulfates. This bath and body wash foams well, smells incredibly good, cleans deeply, and hydrates and silkens skin all for a price of about $6.00. I can't recommend it highly enough. I am so very glad you're reading this, but if you are, why aren't you on your way to purchase it already? (Kidding--sort of!)

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Body Milk

Great Lotion Does Little to Lighten

After my beloved mother’s quadruple bypass surgery years ago, I spoke at length with her plastic surgeon, the most acclaimed in the city. He advised me that nothing—absolutely nothing—heals skin and scars like cocoa and shea butters. I never forgot that tidbit of information. While this body milk smells delicious, feels wonderful, and thoroughly softens every bit of my skin, from hands to arms, elbows, and legs, it has done very little in terms of lightening the smattering of brown spots I have on one hand and both arms. I’ve used it consistently and will try something else to rid myself of them. If you simply want a great all-over lotion for skin akin to velvet, this is it!

  • Signature Club A Precious Moroccan Argan Oil Oasis Day Cream SPF 25

There was a period in my life when I used “Signature A Club” makeup exclusively; I have no idea why I stopped except that I probably was attracted by new brands, promises of beauty, and eye-catching packaging. I was more than pleased with the products. “Precious Moroccan Argan Oil Oasis Day Cream Broad Spectrum 25” is a dream for those who want to keep their skin looking young. The SPF protection of 25 is higher than with many creams—that’s a great start. Argan oil, glycerin, Vitamin C, olive fruit oil, wheat germ oil, and avocado oil are just some of the other highly enriching ingredients in this cream. You would never guess the potency of the formula from the lightweight texture and this beautiful way skin drinks it in. It does wear very well under makeup (cream or powder) and makes your complexion (and neck) ultra-silky and younger looking. A friend gave it to me; I think I will begin to rediscover this line!

Ahava Pure Spa Body Sorbet Caress

    Ultra-Pampering Moisture

This very unique cream-gel formula is absorbed by skin immediately. While you marvel at the velvety feel, Dead Sea minerals, plant extracts, and Vitamin E deeply nourish. The mandarin/cedarwood scent both invigorates and soothes the senses. This is a wonderful after bath/shower luxury product.

Too Faced Lip Insurance Lip Primer

    My Lipstick Stays in Place

Too Faced's "Lip Primer" works well for me. It applies smoothly. After I wait a minute, my lips become a matte (but not dry) canvas for the lip color to wear. It does extend the life of lipstick and gloss and prevents color from wandering. When used with a lip brush, it does much for a perfect, refined pout.

    Jergens Mild Soap

"Comfort Food" for Your Skin and Soul

I've been using special facial cleansers for so long that I had nearly forgotten how much I enjoy this soap. Jergens® is formulated with all-natural ingredients. It leaves my skin quite clean and soft. The fresh, subtle scent reminds me of growing up, a scent I'll always treasure. This is "comfort food" for your skin.

    bareMinerals MULTI-WRINKLE REPAIR

Great-Textured Serum Softens and Blurs Lines

It's hard to remember the time before serums arrived on the scene. I've used a serum from nearly every company which makes them, both from drugstores and department stores, and I rate this highly. Bare Minerals claims that this is to be used to "Target fine lines and deep-set wrinkles with precision. This potent treatment is created to work on multiple surface layers of the skin, diminishing the look of forehead wrinkles, brows furrows, laugh lines, crow's feet, and other noticeable signs of aging. Powered by our proprietary ActiveSoil™ Complex, anti-aging peptides and plant extracts, each ingredient has been carefully chosen to target specific wrinkles while addressing new wrinkles before they become more evident." Bare Minerals is nebulous as to what ActiveSoil™ exactly is, but is replete with peptides which prevent the degradation of collagen. Other ingredients include aloe vera leaf juice and raspberry leaf extract to plump skin and eliminate creases. One disappointing factor is that Bare Minerals based its results on a study of forty women; that does not seem to be a proper "sampling" for me and I would like to have heard the results when used on hundreds of women. Regardless, this is a lightweight serum with a completely non-sticky texture. It has a fresh citrus smell and is absorbed rapidly. I used it over my entire face and neck before applying a moisturizer consistently. My skin was much softer with this. Lines did seem to be blurred somewhat. The inherited "laugh lines" around my mouth didn't seem as evident. Although this is not a miracle in a bottle, it is absolutely worth a try. You may have even more potent results than I did.
