Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Shine Conditioner
Finally! Something great for my dry, curlyish hair!
I had been hearing good things about this company's products and their support for community causes, and also using Fair Trade shea butter. I am so glad I tried this! There are no parabens, no nasty sulfates in it. It is made with organic coconut oil, shea butter, jojoba seed oil, soybean oil, organic mango seed butter, Vitamin E and B5 panthenol, need seed oil and aloe leaf extract. This is a wonderfully smoothing, detangling conditioner for my hair. The label said it was made for thick, curly hair but it still worked great on my fine-ish curlyish hair. It didn't weigh it down and definitely smoothed down the flyaways and frizz. I have been looking forever for a shampoo and conditioner that really is an effective frizz fighter, and I finally found it for this awful Florida humidity. It smells nice and fruity, and it thankfully does not take forever to rinse out. Plus, I thought the price point was great, especially catching it on sale at Ulta and pairing it with the Ulta coupon. Natural luxury for my hair for a lot less than some of the fancier yet not as effective brands.

I tried this through Sephora, scored a deluxe sample of it through my Beauty Insider account. I liked the brush and the deep, sooty black formula. It defined my lashes and did not smudge. But I had higher hopes for it. It honestly did not seem that much better than my beloved Cover Girl mascaras. It gave my lashes volume but it did clump a little after a while of using it.

This is my favorite bar soap that The Body Shop makes. The pink grapefruit is just so fresh, clean and happy smelling. The bar formula will not dry out my skin like a lot of bar soaps will. It is gentle enough for the, ahem, lady bits too since it seems to be glycerine-based and gentle.

I get one of these every time I stock up on my Body Shop faves. They clean and lather very well, and last longer and are better quality than the ones you may buy at Wal-Mart or the dollar store. Definitely worth the extra buck or two. They also come in coordinating colors with their shower gels and bath lines, so they work very cute in a gift basket!

I love The Body Shop's aromatherapy line. Come to think, I love just about any TBS product! This is a very good quality eucalyptus oil. I use it when my sinuses need degunking naturally. I drop a few drops and steam my face with a towel draped over my head. In about 10 minutes, I am clear as a bell and bonus, glowing, clear skin. It is very comforting when you are sick or need a quick pick-me-up. I've even been known to mix some with Epsom salts and olive oil for a nice long soak in the tub when I have a cold.

I absolutely adore the Satsuma line and have been using it for years. This works great in an oil burner and is very potent. You only need maybe 8-10 drops, max, per use. The Satsuma has an irresistible fresh, orange-y, happy scent and my whole house is embued with it. Love!

I used to get breakouts on my back every once in a while, and ewww. I read about the glorious anti-bacterial properties of tea tree oil and how it helps with acne, so I picked this up at The Body Shop. Thankfully, it doesn't have the pungent, astringent smell of tea tree oil, which I think smells like Pine Sol. This has a little minty freshness to it. After a day or two using this on my back with a back brush, poof! The dreaded "backne" hit the road! It was a nice enough wash to use on my entire body and did not dry me out at all, which is good since I am dry in spots. It seems to last a while, especially if you use a bath pouf or brush instead of a wash cloth.

I'm not too keen on the scent of this hand cream. It smells like dirt, or "earthy", but not in a good way. It does really moisturize my hands, though. Hemp oil is some of the most moisturizing oil known to man, and they put it to good use in this hand cream. Good formulation, but I usually use it before bed so I don't have to smell it all day.

I tried a deluxe sample of this from Sephora. It does cover decently, but I found the light shade a tad too yellow for my skin. I like that it has a fairly decent SPF and anti-aging benefits. A little goes a long way, so it could be a good buy if the color were right.

I got this when The Body Shop was having a sale. The $20 price for such a little tube is a bit steep if I were to buy it without the sale. This cream is hydrating and gives my skin a very nice glow that is not greasy. It goes on white and creamy, but has these self-adjusting, magical color capsules that adjust to your skin tone. The 01 shade was perfect for me. It seemed to spread well and I only needed a small amount to apply. It made my skin look radiant and more even toned, definitely. I just wish that it had an SPF, like all the other BB creams that I have ever tried. I think if they put that in there, it may warrant the price tag a little more.
