    Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

    Pretty good but steep

I like the satiny consistency of this tinted moisturizer. And I love that the sunscreen is broad spectrum but okay to use around my eyes, which is rare. In fact, I can use this all over my face, including the eye area, and not be irritated to high heaven from it. It has a little coverage and looks nice, but I prefer a good BB. It does do a good job of moisturizing my dry skin, and as an added bonus, it has an antioxidant cocktail for skin health.

    First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser

    Perfect for sensitive skin

I tried a sample of this at Sephora, but it was so good that I bought the whole tube! It took my makeup off and left my skin soft without stripping it. It also has antioxidants and calming ingredients, so all the better. It was rich and creamy, and a real pleasure to use. Felt like a luxury item but thankfully did not have the luxury price tag! I got the 2 oz. tube which is about $9, and a little goes a long way. You just need a little squirt, mix with water and it will take the day away.

  • Aussie Sprunch Mousse + Leave-In Conditioner

I recently picked this up for my dry, wavy hair and I really love it when I do a wash and go. I just run about an egg-shaped or slightly larger ball of this product in through my wet hair then I just let it air dry. My hair has more defined waves without poofiness and crunchiness with decidedly less frizz, which I'm always prone to. It was cheap for such a stellar product, about 4 bucks. My only complaint is I wish more stores carried it because the only store in my area that carried it was Wal-Mart, which I hate shopping at and tend to avoid at all cost.

    Sephora Collection Kiss Me Balm

Moisturizing and pretty color but fades quickly

I love this little chubby bullet of tinted lip balm! It smells sorta floral yet sweet, and I got it in a reddish color. It goes on so nice and smooth. It's very luscious and shiny, very comfortable on the lips. But the color did not even last an hour. Still, I rather enjoy using it!

  • Pacifica Perfume Roll-On

    Pacifica Perfume Roll-On

    Most perfect vanilla perfume ever!

Let me tell ya, I had been on a quest to find the perfect vanilla perfume for a while now ever since The Body Shop discontinued their vanilla perfume oil. I'm more partial to the roll on perfumes so I can slip them in my bag and touch up any time I want. And I love vanilla - so comforting and calming, yet uplifting and downright sexy! This is more of the true gourmet vanilla than that nasty overly sweet sugar cookie type vanilla fragrance that seems to pervade the shelves far too often. This one is incredible. I did have to reapply but I love it. Pacifica is also a great company, making vegan and cruelty-free products and a portion from the proceeds go to benefit marine conservation! Win win!

    Julep Nail Color

    Love love love

I now have a small cache of these amazing nail colors at the ready since I joined their monthly box system for $20/month. I love how fashion forward they are, the colors are simply amazing. This month, I received the dreamiest peach nail color that I went gaga for. Admittedly, I don't do my nails very often and am more inclined to do my toesies than my paws, but I'm aiming to do a mani more often. I also give these in little gift bags to my favorite beauty lovers for gifts, and they always rave about them. The colors are fantastic, they go on smooth and wear for a good while. I really like their other makeup and beauty products, but I don't see them listed on here to review! Darn! Their skincare and makeup are fabulous. Well worth the $20/month, since you get several full size products and can earn points towards a new box

    Yes to Coconut Cleansing Wipes

Beachy smelling cleansing cloths? I'm in!

I may have found my new favorite makeup wipe! Just plunked down $5.99 for 25 of these babies and I really like them! First off, they are 96% natural and smell like you've been whisked away to a beach on Maui. They are specifically made for dry skin, with coconut water and kuikui nut oil to hydrate your purty mug. They did slightly sting my eyes a wee bit at first, but it didn't irritate them and got all my makeup off, including eye makeup, off very well. My skin felt so clean and soft, and smelled tropical. You can use them all over your body, so these would be great after the gym. Fantastic!

    Revlon ColorSilk Luminista

Pretty impressive for less than 4 bucks!

I dye my hair at home when the grays start to poke out like turds in a punchbowl. I don't have a lot but enough to annoy the ticks out of me. But I love a bargain. I've had my hair did in beauty schools or salons if they had a special. I don't exactly relish doing it myself because it can be a pain in my derrière, but I do it sometimes. I spied this at Target and it was seriously less than $4! I liked that it said it was ammonia-free and it was 3D color too. It does not come with the nice rubber gloves but instead those plastic baggy-type ones, which is the only downside but they sufficed. The smell was good! It blended my grays rather than cover them completely but the color was really nice and shiny and my hair actually felt moisturized even before I put on the deep conditioner it came with. Will buy again!

    Clairol Natural Instincts Color Creme

Disappointing, did not cover all grays but good color

I just colored my hair last night with this dye, and I am very disappointed. I figured with a color creme, there would be less dripping and nope, still dripped. It smelled okay, but it did not cover all my gray, and I don't even have a lot to cover. I left it on for 15 minutes, 5 minutes more than the time the box said. It took forever to wash out of my hair and it was dry and stripped bare as wood before I put on the included conditioner. The resulting color was nice, though, an auburny, reddish tint. My hair was very shiny too. And it did come with the nicer gloves than the crappy plastic baggy-type ones. The conditioner, like a lot of times with home color, is great but you can't buy it separately in the store. They give you enough for 5 weekly treatments, and it's very smoothing and hydrating. I probably won't buy this again, though. I think I will try the John Frieda haircolor next since I hear that is much better to cover grays with.

  • Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo

I had been on the search for a long time for a shampoo that does not have any nasty things in it like sulfates, parabens, etc. in it and still be effective for my dryish, curly/wavy hair. This has been the only shampoo, with the use of the same line's conditioner, that has thwarted the frizz effectively in my hair. I live in Florida with the monstrous humidity and even though I have a water softener, the water ain't all that. I sometimes heat style my hair too, and it tends to be on the drier side. This shampoo has shea butter, organic coconut oil, organic mango seed butter, jojoba oil and is so soothing and moisturizing. It does not lather very much, but that is characteristic of a sulfate-free shampoo. It still lathers enough to get the job done well. It has a wonderful fruity smell, too. My hair feels clean yet not stripped at all. And it seems safe for color-treated hair, too. I am very, very satisfied with my purchase!
