  • Too Faced Lip Insurance Lip Primer

I LOVE this product! I have tried every lip primer out there and this is by far, the best. You need very little, just a quick swipe along your lip line, wait a few minutes for it to set (which is critical with any lip primer), and then apply your lipstick. For me, I needed something to keep my lipstick from feathering, and this does it. I don't think my lipstick lasts longer with it, but my lipstick is smoother with it. I don't find it drying at all and I have very dry skin. I can't believe I waited so long to try it. It's an HG for me!

  • NYX Cosmetics Glam Lip Gloss Aqua Luxe

This is a perfect lipgloss for those of you who do not want to spend fortune to look jazzy. Layer this over your favorite lipstick and your lips will "pop". It is very cream, easy to use, and not messy at all. A little goes a long way over lipstick or add a few strokes of the applicator for an intense look. There are many colors to choose from. I love the way I can pair this with my pricer lipsticks and still have that "star dazzled" look.

  • ybf Perfect Prep Face Primer

I love this yellow based face primer it helps out a lot. This primer makes my skin smooth and really helps to prepare for foundation to stay on. Also, easier to put on foundation. Also, foundation stays on longer and stays fresh longer. Not at all greasy I got a sample and I plan to buy the full size version also it has a nice matte finish so gotta love!

  • NYX Cosmetics NYX Xtreme Lip Cream

I got absolute red as a gift from my hubby and I honestly love it you have to get use to the texture. You have to be very careful putting it on though putting to much might make it all look gloopy but other than that it looks beautiful a very true red color and it does not dry my lips! I love this. Its also very bold very pigmented and very pin up looking to me which I love. Looks classy if you know how to wear it. Cons- None!

  • Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss

Oh, what fun! This is intensely red-violet in the tube - much brighter than the photo above - with a lot of sparkle and a bit of blue-violet duochrome, and it goes on like that. Definitely not a finish for standard daily wear, but if you don't have a dull office job, it could work. Since it's a gloss it isn't quite as bright as it looks in the tube, but this is no shrinking red-violet. The gloss base goes on fairly sheer, but it is quite glittery. Fortunately, the glitter is not at all gritty. . The finish is soft and only a little sticky. It has a rather unpleasantly artificial smelling vanilla scent, but it isn't too strong, and the gloss is not flavored, thank goodness. Of course, a gloss this soft will need fairly frequent reapplication, but it's comparatively inexpensive. . The brush applicator works fine, as far as i am concerned. The hard plastic package is somewhat ovoid, although the interior is a straight "test tube" shape, and i like that look. What i do not like is the cheesy pseudo-faceted gold cap, but, hey, it IS a cheap product :-) And like spinthedeck I also wish Milani would seal their glosses for hygiene.

  • Milani Baked Blush

    Milani Baked Blush

    LOVE MILANI PRODUCTS!!

Like many others, I caved into peer pressure and finally bought this product. People have raved online about how this is the closest dupe to the NARS blush. It's about $7-$8 a pop at drugstores. I really love blushes and have tried out many others before. Overall, this is a coral blush with a little bit of shimmer. It is pretty easy to apply, and the color control is easy(as in, one swipe wouldn't make you look like a clown, and a couple more swipes will give you more color). I did not like the brush that came with the blush, so I do not use it. The brush breaks down the cake and makes the powder go everywhere. I would recommend a different, softer brush for application. It makes it much easier! (go cheap and use an elf brush. they're about $1 a pop at Target, $3 at most). This coral color really does look okay on any skin tone, but I personally think I look better with a pinker color. Additionally, this blush oxidizes on me, and turns redder/oranger as the day progresses. Not only that, if you buff the blush(rub it directly onto skin with the makeup brush to give blush friction so it warms up on your skin), you can see the color changing on your skin. I have fair skin with a cool skin tone. I found the blush does have pretty good staying power. For the record, I use this on top of primer, foundation, and powder. Additionally, I have used this product for weeks and I can see there is still a lot of product left. This should last a long time. 4/5 would recommend for a starter, since it is cheap, easy to use, accessible, and travel size. Would not buy Luminoso again since I look better in pink than coral. I will probably try another color from this line though. The blush is pretty good quality for its price!

  • Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum
    9.0

    Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum

Not my fave but love still

I have this product in the Eau de Parfum and I received it as a gift a while ago To give you some background, I am not a person that has a lot of perfumes or wears one everyday so my descriptions may be a little off, but I tend to like lighter, somewhat floral smells. I do NOT like anything vanilla or musky smelling. For example, the first perfume I ever bought and still one of my favorites is Curious by Britney Spears (I have been meaning to repurchase for too long) - I love the smell of sunflowers. Also, I recently was given The Donna Karen scent, Cashmere Mist, and I do not like it at all - it smells almost like baby powder to me. So now that you have an idea of where I'm coming from... I didn't realize before looking up the ingredients what scents were in this, but I am surprised that it contains a hint of pear, tiger orchid, toffee caramel, and Indonesian patchouli (among other things)! I have to say, when I first smelled this perfume I was not in love with it. However, after having it on for some minutes it must have changed slightly, or really grew on me because I still use it to this day!! Now, I really do love this scent. It does have some floral notes, but also has an earthy balance. It's not exactly a delicate smell, yet it IS feminine... it just smells sexy ;) To me, this is not a scent that is super light or super heavy- it is definitely noticeable but it's a great mix. It also lasts for a VERY long time, especially if I spray it on my clothes. This perfume gets points for its packaging because I love the textured look and feel of the bottle. I have the 40 ml size and the price averages around $40-50 (I had to look it up since it was a gift). It is definitely worth it because all you need is 1-2 sprays and you're good for the day - I've had mine for about 2 years and I am just about done with the bottle (although I don't wear it everyday). I know I will be sad when I run out. All I can really say is that this perfume has a very unique smell (in a really good way) and is wearable for women of any age. DEFINITELY worth trying out if you like a really nice, different scent that is wearable for day or night, is not overpowering, and will last a long time.

  • Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Stain

Stumbled upon this collection of sheer moist stain pencils by Tarte the other day & fell in love with the wet moist transparent formula. LipSurgence is the right name for this product! Very moisturizing. Gives lips a somewhat wet sensation, something to take into account if that's not your cup of tea. I like my lips to feel moisturized, but I admit that a wet feeling takes some getting used to (think Aquafina Flavor Splash lip balm!) Happily, even after I wiped the product off, my lips didn't dry out. (Note, when you wipe off the product, all the color is removed.. no visible stain of color is left on the lips.) Love the solid pencil formula & the efficient twist-up pencil packaging.. Tarte has a winner here.. no product wasted, no product breakage during handling, no leaking, no fuss or muss, completely effortless application just like applying any lipstick or lipbalm. No telltale liplines either. Super-expensive at $24 but then again most high-end products from Sephora run in this price range (or higher!), plus you get an acceptably decent amount of product in the packaging (about half the tube's length I would say). I wanted to like Moody but the color turnout on my lips is not the same as the packaging. On my lips it comes out more brownish or tawny than the moody plum of the plastic tube...I was disappointed. So I didn't buy this. Enchanted also doesn't come out the color of its tube but a very pretty sheer natural bubblegum pink (the package looks more tawny-mauve). So I really recommend you test the colors out on yourself & you can't really gauge accurate color by the packaging, & $24 a pop is a lot of money to pay for a color you may end up disliking on your lips. Hence 1 lippie off my rating. Shade notwithstanding, the formula is very sheer & moist, making it easily workable even if the color's different than what you thought you'd get. They are all beautiful shades & all of them are flattering & natural, but I'm very fussy about my berry/plum/cool shades & if it's not quite right, I'm not happy. I wish Tarte made this moist lippie in a sheer grape color as well... to me that would be perfection.
