My hair is heavily highlighted in addition to color treated and I heat style several times a week so my hair is quite weak and this conditioner, in addition to the shampoo, keeps my hair strong and shiny and reduces breakage to zero. It has a large amount of protein for strength and I was able to see a difference in just a couple of uses. It keeps my hair supple and soft and I'm able to stay a very light shade of blond because of these products. I also use the Perfect For Platinum Cool Tone Enhancing Treatment which keeps my hair from becoming too yellow. These three products work great and they also smell amazing, like all Pureology products. I'm so glad I discovered them. They are the best thing for my hair and I wouldn't be able to do all that I do to my hair without them. I know of no other products quite like them. I've been using them ever since I went a very light shade of blond and even my colorist has noticed a difference. I recommend them for anyone with bleached or highlighted hair.

My hair is heavily highlighted and I definitely need this formula. It has kept my hair soft and shiny and strong. I noticed a difference after I used it a couple of times. My hair was smoother and no longer dry and I no longer had any breakage. It was also noticeably stronger. It's very gentle and it lathers great with just a small amount of shampoo. It's definitely different that other Pureology formulas. It has a higher protein content for added strength. My stylist has certainly noticed that my hair has improved in texture since I started using this. I also love the way it smells. I'm on my third bottle of this shampoo and conditioner and I plan on continuing to use it because I think my hair really benefits. Yes, it's expensive. But it delivers when cheaper products really do not. I'm so glad I discovered it. I feel that I can stay a blond because I use this and that makes me really happy, lol!

This shampoo is great but it's been discontinued and replaced with a new formula Strength Cure, which is also awesome. Essential Repair has plenty of protein for strength and has kept my hair in great condition despite heavy highlights, permanent color and heat styling several times a week. It's very gentle and lathers great with just a small amount and smells terrific, like all Pureology products. I found this shampoo at Walgreens on clearance for less than $10 and I bought the last two bottles in the store. I knew it would be good but I didn't realize I would no longer be able to find it anywhere. I also didn't realize it would be replaced by Strength Cure, which I was already using. So I'm using Essential Repair shampoo and Strength Cure conditioner and these two products are working very well together although they smell totally different. The ingredients are almost identical however, with protein high up on the list. I need that because all the damaging things I do to my hair has weakened it considerably and I need the protein molecules to fill in the now empty spaces on the hair shaft. This formula is also quite hydrating, which I also need because my hair is really dry as well. These two products keep my hair in great shape and I'm really happy with them. I guess when I'm finished with the two bottles of Essential Repair shampoo I'll move over to Strength Cure, which I'm sure I'll also like. I don't know why I'm doing this review for a discontinued product, lol! Brand loyalty I guess! If you can get your hands on Essential Repair, try it. It's really good and hopefully you can find it for a good price like I did.

This product is a light lilac color so it tones only light yellow tones and therefore doesn't work on very golden hair. So if you're trying to tone hair that's gone a little bit yellow then this will work pretty well. Leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes and it will condition in addition to toning. It leaves hair soft and shiny and it smells really nice, like all Pureology products. But if your hair has really deep golden tones, whether from incomplete lightening or from mineral deposits, this will not do a darn thing. It just does not have enough pigment to do much of anything at all. Instead I suggest trying Joico Color Endure purple shampoo and conditioner, which is a deep violet color and when left on the hair for 5 minutes apiece, will definitely tone out overly golden tones. However, don't leave it on too long or you could end up with an overly ashy result or even with purple hair (which you can get rid of with a few shampoos with a clarifying formula). Color Endure is sulfate free and gentle and it smells nice too. But the effects are temporary so you might want to look into doing a toner, such as Redken Shades EQ in 9V, which has a violet base. This will last 15-20 shampoos as long as you use a sulfate free shampoo. It's available online and is mixed with the SEQ processing solution. Leave it on anywhere from a minute or two up to 5. Rinse as soon as you see that the golden tones have been neutralized. This will give you much longer lasting results than any shampoo, which only lasts until the next shampoo. Same is true of the Pureology treatment. I like my regular shampoo (Pureology Perfect 4 Platinum) and I find toning shampoos very drying so a toner what I prefer. When my hair becomes too golden because of the limestone content in the Florida water, I use SEQ and it leaves my hair soft and glossy with no damage whatsoever. It's a salon product that delivers salon quality results. Much better than any shampoo or toning conditioner in my book.

This shampoo doesn't cleanse very well and it certainly didn't add any color to my brunette hair. I think it's supposed to do both of these things and fails miserably. Yes, it smells wonderful but otherwise it sucks and that includes the matching conditioner. I returned both products to the salon where I purchased them. They weren't too happy about it and seemed to question my reasons for returning them, but in the end, gave me my money back. I will stick with Shea Moisture products, which are awesomely wonderful and less than half the price!!

I like this product well enough. It does fight frizz really well, even in the Florida humidity. It smooths nicely and makes my hair really shiny. However, it's unlikely that it improves hair over time because there's a very small amount of argan oil in it and because it's mostly silicone, the oil doesn't penetrate the hair shaft. I prefer to use pure argan oil on the ends, just a few drops on clean damp hair, and then I use a silicone serum, Got2b Shine Serum, on top for shine and heat protection. The oil doesn't provide thermal protection on its own, but it does treat and prevent dryness really well. This Moroccanoil treatment does do it's job well and if you prefer to spend big bucks, who am I to argue? But you can buy pure organic argan oil on Amazon for $10-$14 for a 4 ounce bottle and Got2b Shine Serum is $5ish at drugstores everywhere. I was curious about MO so I had to see what all the hype was about. It's a good product, no doubt about it. But it's had no effect on my dry ends so I won't repurchase it. Still, I'm giving it a high rating because it definitely works. If you prefer to spend more money, then by all means use it. I, however, prefer to have hydrated hair so I'll stick to my argan oil silicone serum routine.

This treatment leaves my hair soft and shiny and frizz free. I apply a small amount to clean, damp hair, about the size of a nickel for my bsl hair. Distribute it well throughout, paying particular attention to the ends. Take whatever's left on your hands and smooth the top. But always avoid the roots. I've been using this for about a week but I don't think it's improving the condition of my hair. It's mostly silicone, with a little oil thrown in and because silicone coats the hair, the oil likely doesn't penetrate the hair shaft. So I don't think long term use will have any effect. That said, however, it does do a great job at smoothing and does provide heat protection, so it's a good product to have on hand. I'm not sure it's worth the expense. Pure argan oil is great for treating dry ends and will definitely improve them over time. Apply a few drops to clean, damp hair and allow it to soak in for a few minutes. Then apply your frizz fighters and styling products. The argan oil doesn't provide thermal protection so be sure you're using something that does. I keep argan oil on hand because I've found so many uses for it. It's a dry oil which means it's easily and quickly absorbed and doesn't leave any greasy residue behind. I like the Macadamia product but I won't likely repurchase. I prefer to spend $5 on Got2b Shine Serum, which does exactly the same thing for a fraction of the price.

This hairspray has really strong hold that stands up to any weather. It also imparts a nice shine that looks natural, not greasy or oily. If you don't want your style to go anywhere (and I mean ANYWHERE), then this is the hairspray for you. It's not sticky and it doesn't flake. However, it's not brushable. I use it mainly for updos and to tame the flyaways around my hairline. It really works well. It's the best firm hold hairspray I've ever used. I will definitely repurchase.

Years ago this was a great little product. A well kept secret of the well coiffed. Now it's almost all silicone, which coats the hair shaft and prevents any truly beneficial ingredients from penetrating. I used it recently and it didn't do a darn thing. I will not repurchase. I think I'm being generous giving it five stars. There are much better treatments on the market. Shea Moisture Manuka Honey Intensive Serum is one. Amazing!

This is a good product and definitely conditions, but for the price, Sebastian Potion 9 is just as good. I got the same results with both products and Phyto is definitely the pricier of the two. It comes in a really small tube, which I used rather quickly. Potion 9 is a large tube that lasted me more than a year. For exactly the same results, I'll stay with Potion 9. (Phyto has a number 9 conditioner too which is virtually indistinguishable from number 7, just FYI.) I won't repurchase Phyto 7 (or 9) but will stick with the Sebastian product.
