  • Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Crème

This glossing cream is pretty good. It's a bit heavy so I use very little. If you use too much, your hair will look greasy/dirty. It adds a nice sheen to dry hair. I used the entire tube but it wasn't a product that inspired great loyalty in me. I didn't repurchase. It was good, but not special. My hair is medium textured and I felt it was a little heavy.

  • Bumble and bumble Bb. Does It All Styling Spray

I use this spray on dry hair that's been prepped with BB Invisible Oil Primer. I spray my hair in sections and wait for it to dry. I then use a curling iron to create loose waves that I loosen with my fingers. This styling spray gives me fantastic defined curls that aren't stiff or sticky at all and it never, ever flakes. In fact, I can't even feel any product in my hair whatsoever. I spray a little more on my finished style and then I'm out the door. This spray holds my hair even in the Florida humidity and the primer ensures I get no frizz whatsoever. These two products are the HG for me. The spray gives me natural hold with movement and on the 2nd day, I just brush it out and recurl (if necessary) without having to reapply. This spray seems to work best with heat, however. Yes, it's pricey but all I have to do is look in my hall closet at all the epic hair product FAILS and I don't feel guilty for spending a pretty penny on products that actually work. I haven't been impressed by BB shampoos and conditioners, but their styling products have no equal. If I want a little texture, Dryspun finish works great and is very light. These BB products are the bomb and I definitely recommend this styling spray and the primer in particular. You'll love this combo!

  • Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer

This stuff is a magical elixir. I've used about 6 bottles so I feel qualified to do this review. It hydrates, makes hair manageable, increases the effectiveness of styling products, speeds blowdry time, provides thermal protection, adds shine and totally eliminates frizz (even in the Florida humidity!!). This is a HG product for me. I use it on damp clean hair from roots to ends and then apply my styling products. I then let my hair air dry overnight. In the morning I use a curling iron to create loose waves. My hair is shiny and soft and it holds the curl all day, although I can't feel any product in my hair at all. This primer makes my hair look unbelievably healthy. My hair is also color treated and when I use this, the color absolutely glows. There's simply nothing else like it! This primer is also very lightweight, and doesn't weigh my hair down at all or make it look greasy. When I use the curling iron, I get no breakage or dryness even when I use the high heat setting, sure signs the thermal protection is working. This primer makes my hair look like it would if I never colored or heat styled. It's simply AMAZEBALLS!! I definitely recommend it for all hair types, even fine hair. It will change your life!!

  • Bumble and bumble Creme de Coco Shampoo

Bumble and bumble Creme de Coco Shampoo

Don't know what the hype is about.

I didn't like this shampoo at all. It didn't hydrate my hair very well but it did weigh it down considerably. It was very expensive and the reviews I've read gave it high marks, but I was not impressed. I also purchased the Cocoa conditioner and did not much like the two products together. They were heavy but didn't deliver any noticeable benefit. It's a lot of hype over nothing. I'll give the two products to my husband to use. Right now, I'm totally loving Living Proof Perfect Hair Day s/c, which has the right amount of hydration and gives me tons of body and shine and absolutely no frizz (even in the Florida humidity!!). LP is totally suited to my hair type. I've never used anything that works as well. I love other BB products, namely the Invisible Oil Primer and Does It All styling spray, which are two of my HG products. But this BB shampoo and conditioner were an epic fail for me. I'm being generous with four stars. I definitely don't recommend them.

  • Wella Koleston Perfect

    Wella Koleston Perfect

    Amazing color!

I've been using Koleston for about 10 years and have been many different shades during that time (brunette, auburn, chestnut, light blond, medium blond, dark blond) and each and every hue has looked wonderful. Koleston is a salon professional brand that's used in top salons worldwide. The color is translucent, never matte and flat like drugstore color and the garbage Sally's sells. It's super softening and super shiny and leaves my hair gleaming and soft. It's never drying and doesn't make hair brittle. And the shades are diverse so any desired hue is possible. I simply love this stuff! I get compliments on the color all the time. Right now, I'm a dark warm blond. I get this by mixing two ounces 7/7, one ounce 9/7 and a little 8/43. This produces a beautiful warm bronzy blond on my level 4 medium brown hair. I use this with a 30 volume developer to ensure I get enough lift. Koleston runs a level dark, so choose your shade(s) with this in mind. I get super soft, shiny hair and beautiful color that lasts and lasts. I highly recommend Koleston. People ask me all the time where I get my color done. I smile and say "Amazon!"

  • Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Shine Conditioner

My DH uses this conditioner (along with the shampoo) and his coarse, curly hair really loves it. It makes his hair soft and shiny and frizz free. I use the SM Manuka Honey formula and one day my DH was out of his usual cheap stuff and he appropriated my SM and loved it. The rest, as they say, is history. He's now a regular SM user. This formula works better for his hair type, keeping his coarse curly hair really supple. His hair is long and he wears it in a ponytail and it's sleek and soft. This shampoo and conditioner have so many great ingredients and they really do a very nice thing for his hair. We live in Florida where the humidity does nasty things to hair and his hair is frizz free when he uses the SM s/c and the styling milk. It keeps the silly flyaways from forming a halo around his head, lol! I love the SM Manuka Honey formula because it does wonderful things for my dry, color treated, wavy, extremely frizz prone hair. He has his favorite formula and I have mine. We each love our formula. I highly recommend SM products.

  • Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-In-1 Renewal System Conditioner

This conditioner works really well for me. It moisturizes without weighing my hair down. My wavy, dry, color treated, frizz prone hair really drinks this conditioner up. It banishes dryness, leaving my hair soft, supple, shiny and frizz free. It has a lot of "slip" so detangling is easy. It also smells amazing. I love Shea Moisture products and this (along with the 10 in 1 shampoo) is by far my favorite formula. My hair is bouncy and light with tons of body and shine. This is a HG product for me. I definitely recommend it.

  • Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Moisture Recovery Treatment Masque

I use this mask two ways; for 5-10 minutes in the shower or for 45 minutes to an hour with a heat cap. I get deep conditioning when I use it for the shorter time and mega conditioning when I use it with the heat cap. It hydrates really well, leaving my hair soft and shiny and frizz free. It's thick and rich so a little goes a long way. My hair is medium in texture, dry, color treated, wavy and prone to frizz in the Florida humidity. I get sleek, silky tresses when I use this mask with no hint of frizz in sight. My hair absolutely glows! And of course, it doesn't strip the color. This is an HG product for me! I definitely recommend it.

  • Shea Moisture Jamaican Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo

This clarifying shampoo is safe for color treated hair and removes every trace of styling product and hairspray buildup with apple cider vinegar. It leaves my hair soft and shiny and very bouncy. It also smells amazing, really clean and fresh. It's very hard to find a sulfate free clarifying shampoo that does not strip hair color, but this one not only doesn't strip, it adds fantastic shiny and manageability. I use it every third or fourth shampoo and it makes my hair color gleam. It also removes buildup from conditioner. If your color treated hair has been feeling heavy and styling has become difficult, it's time for a clarifying session. This shampoo is perfect for the job. It also lathers really well, which is unusual for a sulfate free formula. If you can't already tell, I absolutely love this formula. It's a HG product for me. I definitely recommend it for all hair types. Your bouncy, shiny hair will thank you!

  • Living Proof Restore Instant Protection

    Living Proof Restore Instant Protection

    A great thermal protector

I use this spray when I use the curling iron to create loose waves. I use Living Proof No Frizz Weightless Styling Spray (which is great btw) and I get beautifully defined waves that last all day. I use this spray lightly before curling and let it dry completely. It's weightless and adds natural looking shine. I've experienced no breakage or dryness so it must be working. It also smells rather nice. It's not oily or greasy at all and doesn't need to be reapplied if I curl my hair on subsequent days. However, the UV protection only lasts 24 hours. It also has no hold, so you'll need to use a styling product or hairspray in addition. I'm taking one star off for the price. It comes in a really small can, which doesn't even last a month (a few weeks actually) making it extremely pricey per use. But the Restore spray adds just the right amount of shine, which is a very good thing and works great against high heat (my curling iron is on full blast, lol!). I definitely recommend it. I haven't found any product that's better. It's a HG product for me, although I wince every time I fork out the big bucks for this small can.
