  • NYC New York Color Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder

I didn't expect much from this for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised. This bronzer goes on evenly with a brush (no idea why it comes with that useless sponge!), and it's not too orange or too dark for my very fair skin. Unlike some others I've used, it doesn't seem to darken throughout the day. At under $4, I'd definitely recommend this one.

  • Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15

I've been using this for about three weeks now, and I'm really liking it. I have sensitive combination skin, prone to breakouts, and it's hard to find a product that doesn't exacerbate at least one of those issues. This lotion got rid of the irritation the onset of winter has been causing me, thoroughly moisturizing dry spots without feeling greasy everywhere else. I haven't had any more acne issues than usual, either. This is absolutely my new go-to product post cleansing. Another plus - it smells great!

  • Nivea A Kiss of Rejuvenation Q10 Anti-Aging Lip Care

This is an excellent lip moisturizer. It lasts for hours and truly feels like it's thoroughly hydrating my lips - not simply sitting on the surface. It's a bit more expensive than other drugstore lip balms for the amount of product that you get, but I promise, it's worth it.

  • Nivea Creme

    Nivea Creme

    Doesn't soak in

It's nice how thick this stuff is, but I didn't find it to absorb very well at all. I definitely wouldn't use it as a hand cream. I tried it on my legs, and it seemed to leave a wax-like coating on my skin. This forms a barrier more than it truly moisturizes. It's ok for elbows and knees, I guess. I didn't really like the medicinal smell, though. I won't buy this again.

  • Tresemmé Thermal Creations Volumizing Mousse

This is a wonderful bodifying mousse. It made my fine hair feel twice as thick! The volume lasted nearly all day - a major feat for my hair. I'll continue to buy this product.

    Olay Quench Daily Lotion

    Very effective

I like this lotion a lot. It's certainly one of the better whole-body moisturizers I've used. It's very effective, yet absorbs thouroughly. My legs still feel soft 20 hours after applying it. I was a bit put-off by the sweet fragrance at first, but I've started to really like it. My boyfriend complimented me on the scent. I also like the addition of subtle sparkle to this, despite the fact that some other reviewers have complained about it.

    Dove Advanced Care Therapy Conditioner

    Best Conditioner for Damage

I love this product. It's the most moisturizing conditioner I've tried that doesn't weigh my hair down. My hair feels truly soft and healthy, not just coated with a smoothing ingredient. Highly recommended for those who abuse their hair as brutally as I do.

  • Olay Pro-X Wrinkle Smoothing Cream

At 27, I may be below the taget age group for this product, but I received a 1-oz. trial jar of it, so I tried it for a week anyway. I just didn't like it. I woke up to super-greasy skin every day, and had pretty bad breakouts the following week. I don't think it had any visible effects on the faint line across my forehead, either. I could only recommend this for those with very dry skin. But even then, the price makes it an unwise choice. I've heard better things about Olay Regenerist, if you're going to spend the money.

  • Revlon Travel Styler Dryer

    Revlon Travel Styler Dryer

    More damaging than most

I've been blow-drying my hair daily since I was a kid - never skipped a day - so I have a pretty wide basis for comparison when it comes to hair dryers. Within a week of daily use, this dryer made my hair feel noticeably more fried than ever before. It seems to run hotter than other dryers I've used, and the cool setting barely works (it's not that cool and the button sticks, so sometimes it takes a bunch of panic-filled tries to get the hot air back). I feel like this hair dryer also propels less air than most other 1875-watt models, making drying time take longer. Hence, more damage. I don't recommend this at all.

  • Sebastian Whipped Creme

    Sebastian Whipped Creme

    A straight-haired girl's review

I was a bit wary of using this product, as I have fine, straight hair that easily falls limp. It seems to be designed for hair that has some amount of natural curl, but I gave it a go anyway. A 1-second squirt of this was enough to cover the bottom 8 inches of my hair, after which I blow-dried it and curled it with a curling iron (not the directions, I know, but my hair cannot be scrunched into curls or waves). Initially, it left my hair shiny and my layers well-defined - very "piecey". It didn't make my hair flat, which most creamy stylers do. It looked really great for the first 3 or 4 hours of the day. My main complaint is that it didn't provide enough hold for the curls to last long enough. I also have to agree with what a couple others said about the fact that it contains petrolatum and mineral oil (4th and 5th on the ingredient list). I did wind up with some breakouts on my head and neck a few days after trying this - and I never get them there! To me, it would in no way be worth it's high price for these reasons.
