I know, I know, it took me way too long to try out this makeup sponge applicator but now that I have, I am hooked! It provides light, flawless coverage for an even and natural look. Beautyblender is made from a latex-free, anti microbial foam to help fight bacteria and sensitive enough for those with allergies. It is washable, reusable, recyclable, can be used with all types of makeup, you can use it damp or dry and it’s sooo cute! What more could you ask from a makeup sponge? I highly recommend you buy this NOW if you do not already own one, or two!

I tried my new Jouer Hydrating Lipstick today and it was a refreshing change from my current brand (I won’t name names). I often struggle with finding a good lipstick that does not dry my lips and after wearing Jouer all day (only having to reapply twice), my lips actually felt very soft and moisturized. The shade I used: Doris. This shade is a perfect day shade that gives your lips just enough color to stand out while also looking natural. How “liptastic” is that?

Before I make my recommendation, I have to first admit that this product was a bit out of my comfort zone. I usually gravitate toward the brownish blushes and not anything this pink. However, new year, new me right? I am not regretting my change at all. This Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls Blush was just the right color to take me from the dreads of winter into the bright hope of an impending spring. And the bonus? This blush protects and conditions skin with antioxidant properties. Just what I would expect from a great brand.

Not going to lie, I was very skeptical of this product but it has become my favorite! I use the Magic Mitt every night and each time it leaves my skin clean and clear of makeup, including mascara. I tested it by using a toner afterward and the cotton ball was free of makeup and dirt! This is an especially great product for those with dry skin because it keeps you from over-cleansing and drying your skin out even more. How to use: Soak the Mitt in warm water then gently sweep your face to remove makeup. When completed, wash the Mitt in soap to cleanse. Then hang up to dry in an open-air environment (do not put in a drawer or compartment where there is no air flow). When dry, it is sterile.

I think every time I get a facial, they tell me to use a clay mask on a regular basis. The advantage of clay is that it draws deep rooted impurities out of the skin without drying. Many other kinds of masks just leave your skin dry and don’t penetrate deep into the skin. I have found that the Botanics Conditioning Clay Mask is a great mask and is very affordable, about $16. I have used more expensive clay masks over the years and in my opinion, Botanics is just as great. So get a little dirty girls and come out looking beautiful!

I was looking for a product that would help repair skin damage, reduce fine lines and wrinkles but still make my skin smooth and soft. I think I have found it! The Peter Thomas Roth Laser-Free Resurfacer is a great skin care product to add to your skin care regimen. I used for four weeks and noticed a positive change in my skin’s appearance, including the reduction of fine lines. It can be a little drying so always use your favorite moisturizer after application. And don’t let the red color scare you! This product has a Dragon’s Blood Complex which is what makes it do its magic.

I had a fantastic facial lately and one of the products that was used was Aveda’s Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant. My skin apparently needed hydration so using a regular exfoliant that was more like a scrub was making my skin a little red and irritated. This product is like a liquid toner that will also exfoliate, removing dead skin cells that can leave your skin looking dull and can clog pores. And the best part? It’s an Aveda product so you know it is made with the finest botanical ingredients. I use this product as part of my nightly skin care routine. Make your skin glow!
