The importance of exfoliation cannot be underestimated. It allows you to rid your complexion of dead, dry cells and improves circulation. Pores are tightened, and skin has an overall softer feel. Skin is also more receptive to the creams, serums, and lotions applied. There is one problem--many exfoliating scrubs contain crushed nut shells or uneven, sharp-edged particles which can cause minute tears in tissue. The tears may result in damage, more places for bacteria to hibernate, and irritation. Problem solved! Farmhouse Fresh's "One Fine Day" skin polish is 100% natural. This shea/sugar cleanser is especially good for those with rosacea or sensitive or dry skin. This miraculous products does not leave skin feeling taut or stripped of natural oils, but dewy and radiant. Ingredients include sucrose (the scrubbing particles consist of this), glycerin, beeswax, shea butter, castor and sunflower seed oils, and oils of grapefruit, grapefruit peel, lemon, lime, and tangerine peel oil. This has a subtle fresh citrus scent; don't be surprised if you find yourself wanting to eat it rather than scrub with it. Use liberally on damp skin, face and neck, décolletage and hands for super-smooth skin twice a week. You won't believe what a huge difference this exfoliator makes in your appearance, and you'll find yourself looking forward to using it. It is a steal for $25.00. One jar lasts a long time. For an extra treat, soften arms, hands, and legs afterward with Farmhouse Fresh's "Whoopie Cream," an ultra-rich cream that smells like an exact duplicate of cake AND frosting at the same time!

Like most other women here, I'm highly impressed by Urban Decay eye shadows. I like these colors. They are finely-milled, highly pigmented, and long-lasting. This particular palette offers some fun, flirty colors. My one problem with Urban Decay is that they don't combine complementary shades as well as they can (except for the Nude palettes). It's hard to get all of the colors you need from just this palette, no matter how well you blend.

I've written many times before of my addiction to palettes. I had to think about purchasing this for awhile, as $99.00 is a steep investment. However, when you divide the price by the number of versatile colors you get, you're paying $8.25 per professional hue. You'll feel just like Kevin Aucoin himself when you blend these colors, creating unique new eye shadow, liner, blush, and lip color combinations. The colors are fascinating and quite vivid: Metallic gold, vibrant coral, light turquoise, bright fuschia, sunny yellow, dark brown, metallic silver, virgin white, pure red, vivid cobalt blue, bold green, and black. Be forewarned that there are hues not to be used on lips and eyes. These are deeply pigmented, and you may be in for a little more color than you expect, so start with a light hand (actually, this is not a palette for beginners in the first place). You may find stains of colors even after you cleanse your face, so use a good oil or oil-based cleanser first and follow with the product of your choice to deep-clean. I do have some problem with creasing. Sometimes the colors begin to crease before I am finished applying. Primers help with this problem somewhat, but you may want to keep the palette with you in case your colors crease during mid-day. All in all, it offers endless possibilities.

I read the reviews stating that this shampoo is drying, and I can't understand why. My husband and I use it when we want to get our hair back IN good shape. It doesn't strip hair's natural oils and is infused with silk for wonderful softness. I love the subtle, clean fragrance. Just do not overuse, and follow up with Biosilk serum for shiny, frizz-free, bouncy, beautiful hair.

This glides on, practically by itself, and is available in a wide range of flattering colors. The color lasts a very long time with nary the need for a look in the mirror.

This satin-finish lipstick gives rich, silky coverage and does not require touch-ups often (this beautiful color lasted through a very long wedding mass in a very warm June and a eight-hour reception). I had a lot of guests and no time to keep reaching for color, and I didn't need to. Without lipstick I can be eerily pale, but it remained true for a very long time. I love Mary Kay!

With all of the makeup I own and all that I have tried, it was a hard decision of what brand of eye makeup I would wear for my wedding years ago. Should I have a professional makeup artist do my makeup? Should I do it myself? I ultimately chose Mary Kay® "Mineral Eye Color," and I'd do it again. The color range is incredible--MK carries everything from a pure luxe gold ("Gold Coast") to "Sterling" (gently shimmering grey) to gleaming "Crystalline" (ecru with sheen) and bold, beautiful "Midnight Star" (deep blue). As I recall, I used "Crystalline" and mixed blues and amethysts. My hazel/green eyes were greatly enhanced. My husband and I stayed for the entire reception after a wondrous, long wedding mass because we had so much fun--and these shadows withstood fourteen hours of tears of joy, heat, perspiration, photos, kisses and hugs, dancing, and lots of conversation and hardly needed a touch-up. Mary Kay® formulates them with Vitamins A, C, and E. They have oil-absorbing and crease-proof properties (and I did put them to the true test!). The camera lens loved them, and I'm not particularly photogenic. I love the fact that you can create your own customized palette and change it at will. Should I ever decide to renew my vows, I will use these again--that's how special they are!

I treated myself to this as soon as it came out. The colors range from demure to dramatic. I do set aside extra time to use these for special occasions, although I've pretty much learned to deal with the shadow fall-out. I love the colors I can create when I mix these. Foiling makes them extremely eye-catching! They are long-wearing and plush!

Bare Minerals makes it easy when they include beautiful coordinating, long-lasting, blendable shadows and the perfect brushes you need to make them work. If you haven't tried this brand yet, I highly suggest you start with this kit!

There is no doubt that this eye shadow can be messy to use--once you work with it long enough, it does become more user-friendly (and you learn to protect your clothing and the items you don't want covered with powder). The shades are glorious--I have "Soul Sister" (glimmering lilac silk), "Queen Phyllis" (shimmering soft sunlight), and several other shades, including versions which were released for a limited time. They are gorgeous and can be used wet or dry. If I am going somewhere special, I set up extra time to use them because of the gorgeous looks which can be achieved. They wear a very long time, and I know I'll look good for long hours! I'm not giving this ten stars because of the clean-up factor.
