I believe I squirreled away enough of these deeply-pigmented, sultry, gorgeous liner compacts for the next fifty years (silly, I know, because all makeup deteriorates with time and must be thrown away). These can be used wet or dry. I have used a good brush and employed them as shadows on my lid and my contour crease. They wear forever and are simply gorgeous!

"Copper Chic" and "Legendary Lilac" are the two palettes I own. They are indeed silky but a primer is necessary to keep color from budging. I love the way Maybelline coordinates color; the colors complement each other nicely. The "Lilac" does a lot for my hazel/green eyes. I just enjoy "Copper" as an edgy, becoming quad, great for summer. These apply fairly easily and blend pretty well. Some colors are more pigmented than others, but it's a great palette for about $8.00.

My guilt-less splurge? Chanel “Perfection Lumière Foundation. This comes in an incredible range of shades. I have found the perfect rose-infused light beige. This is best for women who don’t require a lot of coverage. It makes your skin photo-perfect. It blends completely seamlessly (use your fingers or a good foundation brush) and wears a long time. I still tend to reach for Lancôme “Dual Finish Versatile Powder Foundation” because it applies in seconds, but this is equally amazing when it comes to creating a perfect, flawless complexion.

MAC’s lipsticks helped to promote the company. The colors are runway worthy, as is the feel and the wear. The color selection can be overwhelming, but I choose pink-based hues as a rule. When I want a change, coral- and red-infused shades work well for me, too. This is a first-rate product.

Crabtree & Evelyn has an unusual product with its “Botanical Shower Mousse.” The foam is strong-scented, and the puffs of soap are a delight as a change from usual lotion or cream. My body basically cleans itself with this innovation; I love it in “Pink Grapefruit” and “Lemongrass.” Pricey? Yes! Worth it? A resounding, refreshing yes!

I recall my mother’s total delight when we received a sample of Caress Glowing Touch Body Bar in the mail. She raved about the luscious and the silk feel. I have used it ever since; it is aptly named—once you use this, your skin is ripe for being caressed! It is so soft, clean, and gently scented!

I have used Certain Dri Solid Antiperspirant. It was better than most companies’ roll-on varieties in terms of keeping me fresh and dry, but I did not have the many hours of “certainty” I do with the liquid. In modeling school, we were taught that a solid is never as effective as a liquid. Because Certain Dri is so very effective, I didn’t fear using a solid, but the advice I learned holds true.

Wow, this is probably one of the first products I ever bought with my own money, unsupervised (don't even want to think how long ago that was). It gave my oily pre-teen skin a super-clean feeling, and I remember loving the scent. I have used it many times since then, but I can't recall the last time. I have to get back to this! It leaves skin deep-cleansed without stripping away essential oils. My complexion loves this. In fact, I think I'm going to go surfing online right this very minute . . .

I bought this. I know that most women have a yellow undertone to their complexions, but this simply exaggerated it, especially with my fair skin tone. I found it unnecessarily oily--why? It reminded me of some old-time cosmetic, because it didn't work on any level. I was not comfortable wearing it and was conscious of it being on every second. I returned it and do not recommend.

Silicones, panthenol, and hydrolyzed silk go a long way to tame frizz and static and create silky strands. Careful--less is more with this! It does have a "masculine" scent, but that does dissipate with time.
