I had been using L'oreal's liquid eyeliner before, the one with a brush tip. I try to stay away from felt tip ones because I didn't have a good experience with the ones by Palladio - I bought 2 and they dried within 2 weeks, even though I stored them properly. Anyways, I was loving L'oreal until I noticed that it didn't last very long and started peeling and flaking. That's when I came to know about the Revlon ColorStay eyeliner. It was fairly cheap, 5 something dollars, so I bought it. The brush was a bit tricky to manage at first (nothing compared to the L'oreal eyeliner brush though!) but I easily got the hang of it. It applies like a breeze, just make sure to wipe off the excess on the inner side of the vial to create a clean tip. It has a great staying power and comes off easy with a good makeup remover. It is almost matte, in case you're looking for a shiny/glossy eyeliner. It doesn't dry up as long as you store it properly. Another thing that I liked about this was that it has a tiny ball inside the little container. It gives me sort of a sense of security that there is some still left, and the ball helps mix the formula together too I suppose, since I have a habit of shaking the liner before applying it. It applies nicely over other eye makeup as well, such as eyeshadow or false lashes. There was absolutely no flaking or peeling, it has bold color, and comes off easily. What more could you ask for! This is the perfect eyeliner for me, can't complain at all. I keep it in my travel pouch because it is so easy to use, and a good on-the-go alternative for a gel liner for me. Great quality, especially for the price. I will definitely repurchase once I run out of it.

I got a sample size of this in the shade "beauty queen". It is a cherry red color and is water-based. It almost feels like a watery gel-like consistency when applied. The color is fairly rich so it's a good idea to spread it well to distribute the color. You can't exactly purse and rub your lips together as you would with a lipstick. Once applied, it stays put very well, and it smooths out the lips; I didn't have any dryness over time while it was on. When applied at first though, I felt a tingly sensation on my lips, not sure if anyone else experienced that too. Maybe it has some lip plumping ingredients because I did notice that after applying this stain, my lips stayed hydrated and looked slightly fuller than usual. Since I didn't expect this to be a lip plumping product, that was a pleasant surprise! I haven't tried it on my cheeks yet so I don't know if I would expect a tingly sensation there, that would be interesting. What if it plumped up the cheeks? Hahaha, if that were the case, then I would probably use this on my cheeks when I get old, safer alternative to botox, perhaps..? Overall, I really love this stain! I like it a lot more than Covergirl lip stains. The only downside for me is the price - $17! Other than that, I love the texture, and since it's water based, I have ample time to clean up any mistakes before the stain sets in. The color is gorgeous, and I can see that it really is flattering on all skin tones. You can apply it generously to bring out the rich red color if you have a darker skin tone, or apply it lightly if you have a fair skin tone with light colored lips. I wasn't sure how this would show up for me since I have naturally pigmented lips, but I simply loved the final look! It comes in two other shades, a rosy pink and a soft peach one. Do buy it if your budget allows, or at least get a sample. I got hooked!

This was my first eye primer ever and I'm so happy that I chose this; couldn't be happier to see that a first-time product could be the one to use for years to come! You only need less than a pea size to cover one eye, It glides on easily, I let it set for about a minute before applying any eye makeup. After it was set, I felt over my lid with a finger, and I could tell by the smoothness that my eyeshadow will not smudge at all. My lids felt like a smooth silicone surface! It also added more life to the eyeshadows as compared to applying on a bare lid. My makeup also stayed on longer than usual, which was pleasing. The packaging is great, and I like that this comes in a tube. $12 did seem like alot so I actually got mine for 7 bucks on ebay. I always carry it in my little travel pouch to keep it handy. Highly recommended!

I have these in Electric and Eldorado shades. Both are BEAUTIFUL colors! I wish I could own more of these, because seriously, the variety of colors is what appealed to me the most for these eye pencils. Applying them was another pleasant surprise because they literally glide on, leaving a decent trail of color, which is buildable, ofcourse, by retracing the line. While they can be applied on the upper lid, I like to use them for the waterline. The color really did stay on for a while, but I found myself touching up later in the day. I don't know if my eyes are too watery kind, but some of the color seemed to have faded away. It's not a huge thing for me to worry about as it doesn't bother me to touch up (and frankly, I haven't come across a product that actually does stay on 24/7). The only major con for this product, for me, was the price. I agree that these aren't any cheap pencils and well-worth the money, but I have seen budget-friendly alternatives, such as the Milani eye pencils, and I would rather spend my money on them.

This is almost like the staple mascara one would need. It lifts the lashes, making the eye look awake, defines and separates the lashes, and makes them look longer. The volume is buildable upon a second or third coat of mascara. I'm not fond of waterproof mascaras so I love how it easily rinses of with water. My lashes definitely felt soft unlike the stiff coat that some mascaras tend to leave behind. The formula is perfect, and there was no flaky business. This mascara isn't the kind that would add drama to your lashes, but I think that it's perfect for a workplace setting. You can test by adding more coats, but I think that instead of adding a dramatic impact, those extra coats (more than three) would only make your lashes stick together with the goopiness of the numerous layers and weigh down the lashes. I recently wore this to an interview and it gives just the right balance between highlighting your lashes without making them look overwhelmingly dominant.

I bought this when I saw it in clearance at Walmart,, in the shade "Graphite Gravity". I love the color, and the magnetic effect really works to create the wavy pattern. Many people had bad experiences with it, saying that it's only a waste of money, but the trick is, make sure to apply a heavy second coat. I first applied some clear nail polish and let it dry. Then I applied one normal layer of this polish and let it dry. After that, I applied a thick second coat, and immediately held the provided magnet over the nail surface for 30 seconds. The second layer needs to be thick so that there is enough amount of polish for the magnetic waves to play with and move around to create the pattern. Don't bother wiping the brush inside the nail polish bottle for the second coat like you would normally. Just draw out the brush and carefully paint it on your nails. Also, be sure to immediately hold the magnet over the nail after this (making sure that your nails do not touch the magnet, there should be a tiny amount of space between). If you notice, the mail polish cap also has a small curved tab sticking out near the magnetic rectangle. This allows you to hold the magnet over your nail with the tab resting on your finger near the nail bed. This is convenient because it makes it a little easier to hold up the magnet, and it adds enough distance between the nail and the magnet so that the wet nail polish doesn't stick on the magnet. This totally works, I experienced it through trial and error. I don't like how the price is $8.97 per bottle, which is why I got it for 3 bucks on clearance. It's probably the magnetic technology due to which it is pricier than OPI or essie. The end result is gorgeous, I wish I could post a picture of my nails now. The nail polish is also good quality. The two coats really didn't end up being that thick and gooey as I heard from some other people. I'm guessing that a third layer might have caused that. Overall, it looks very professionally done, I like the effect, the formula is great, and I highly recommend buying it on clearance! Good luck!

After using Milani's "Liquif'eye" pencil eyeliner, I was tempted to try this liquid eyeliner. The colors were beautiful and true to the colors on the outside of the liner cases. I bought these in black and purple shades. I really wanted to love them, but the consistency was way too thick for an eyeliner. When I drew out the eyeliner wand, their was literally a string of the eyeliner liquid, stretching from the tip of the wand to the container. I tried to ignore that and just apply to see the end result. The brush was slightly sloppy because of the goopy formula, making it tricky to create a crisp line at the inner eye corners. After that was done, it was nearly impossible to remove the eyeliner! I used Olay's makeup remover with pressure, but it didn't budge at all. Then I used One Love's makeup remover, while scratching at my eyes and applying pressure, and that's when it finally came off. I like that this is water-proof and non-smudgeable, but this is too extreme. I would probably end up with premature wrinkling if I used this eyeliner everyday because it is a struggle to remove it. I had to toss both of them, sorry Milani.

This is probably the perfect pencil eyeliner I've seen. I bought it from CVS, it was a little over 5 bucks or so. It glides on so smoothly, both along the waterline as well as the upper eye lid along the lash line. I bought this in the blackest shade. The color is so intense that it is literally liquid eyeliner intensity, as the name says. The application is also very smooth, glides on easily with no tugging or retracing as the rich color comes along immediately. Just make sure to have a good sharpener because you don't want to waste this product sharpening it down to a stub too soon. I had to get a good one when I had to sharpen it the first few times. It is great for tight-lining the eyes as it really highlights the lashes even without a mascara. You can apply this eyeliner for a basic lined look, and often times I've used it to create the cat eyeliner by winging it out. If you do use it for a winged effect, make sure to work fast because once it's on, it's waterproof and non-smudgeable within 30 seconds. I love that I can use it for a winged liner look without having to worry about the winged part smudging or fading away. This eyeliner stayed put on my waterline too and I tend to have fairly watery eyes. This is a great product, I highly recommend buying it, there really aren't any downsides that I have experienced. In the meantime, I have to grab this in more colors!

This was my very first highlighters. I got this in the "Catwalk Pink" shade. It is cheap, but you can easily achieve a good highlight with it. My only concern is that my brushes can't pick up the color very well. I have to rub the brush back and forth a couple times and then the highlight shows nicely on my cheekbones, just above the eyebrows along the brow bone, the cupid's bow, or on the nose bridge. It isn't like loose powder; in fact, it isn't powdery at all because it can't cake up or be messy to carry. It doesn't leave a chunky glittery look, rather, it's a very fine shimmer, almost like a radiant glow as the name suggests. The little disc is very portable. I highly recommend this as a basic illuminating powder, I have never seen one besides this that is cheap and doesn't leave shimmer or glitter all over the face.

This is like the perfect chapstick. It isn't as solidified as some of the very basic chapsticks in the market, and applies smoothly, almost makes me feel like I'm applying Vaseline on my lips. It is long-wearing as my lips stay hydrated and smooth. Even better to apply right after washing your face when lips are moist but not wet.
