  • Freeze 24-7 Freeze & Go

Freeze & Go promises to minimize pores, soften fine lines and crows feet, and add radiance to the skin when applied both under and over makeup. The best result I received from this was when I wore it under my mineral foundation. I have to say that it dramatically diffused the small crows feet I’m starting to develop (ladies, wear your sunglasses!), kept my skin more matte throughout the day, and made my pores look smaller. My skin was smooth to the touch and looked great. I’m loving wearing this as a multi-purpose primer! Another way to use it is by tapping a small amount of it on top of your makeup throughout the day. It refreshed the look of my makeup and helped take down a few of those pesky oil slicks in my t-zone area. I also tested it on some heavy duty lines– the palm of my hand. The brightening effect is just that. On my hand, it does look a little moist but this dries down to a luminous velvet finish. It’s a dimethicone base so just imagine the feel of Smashbox Photo Finish, that’s what it felt like. It has a slight citrus fragrance that’s not too overpowering and the plastic tube has a little pump. I appreciate the fact that it’s housed in a tube instead of a bottle as my chief complaint about most primers is that I can’t get it out of the bottle once I get more than half way through it. It’s small enough to tuck in your makeup bag for touch-ups and travel, another perk. Even if you don’t wear makeup, this will be great to help soften the look of fine lines & wrinkles (which I now call “wisdom wells”), and smooth out the texture of your skin.

  • DHC Moisture Care Lip Gloss

I tested the Moisture Care Lip Gloss Shimmer in Cassis, and the Moisture Care Lip Gloss in Pink. They were both exceptionally pretty on the lip– I found Pink to be really flattering for daytime and Cassis the more “fun” shade. I recommend them both! When it comes to the hydration factor I’m happy to say that they weren’t dry at all and remained quite slick and glossy without becoming gummy. Olive Oil (which DHC is known for), sodium hyaluronate, and vitamins C & E make these great lip treatments in addition to sassy kisses of color. There are 6 shades of shimmer, and 6 shades of regular gloss to choose from. There were no flavors in the 2 glosses I tried but I can’t gripe too much because my wish was granted with both hydration and color. These retail for $9 (not bad!)

  • LaLicious Brown Sugar Souffle Scrub

I tried out the Coffee Bean Sugar Souffle and the Vanilla Whipped Body Soap which were as delicious as they sound. The Coffee Bean Sugar Souffle smells more like the inside of a Starbucks than a body scrub, and I say that with much enthusiasm. Pardon me, as I’ve given up coffee for 10 days while I’m on a detox– so it’s a welcome treat in the tub. Right now, it’s sitting on my desk and I smell it every time I get the urge to run to the coffee pot, but I digress. It has a more practical use– the whipped consistency hydrates the skin with coconut and almond oils while pure cane sugar does the dirty work of sloughing off rough skin. It smells DELISH and isn’t oily or greasy. Coffee not your thing? The LaLicious Sugar Souffles come in 9 scents.

  • LaLicious Vanilla Whipped Body Soap

The Vanilla Whipped Body Soap is incredibly sinful. While it’s vanilla, it smells like buttercream frosting which is something I can never, ever say no to. The Whipped Body Soaps are sulfate-free so they won’t suds up at all but do work into a nice creamy texture. I found this perfectly gentle for shaving and cleansing, it rinsed away clean leaving only a soft vanilla fragrance behind. Their Whipped Body Soaps also come in several other scents if vanilla isn’t your deal.

  • Kinara Lactic Acid Hydrating Serum

When I had the Red Carpet Facial at Kinara last week, this came highly recommended to me by Olga. After cleansing at night, I apply a thin layer of this in lieu of a moisturizer(for now). It's making my skin very smooth and soft, keeping it hydrated, and is helping to eliminate blackheads. It doesn't get much better!

  • Kinara Red Carpet Facial Kit
    10.0

    Kinara Red Carpet Facial Kit

    Step aside, other peels.

I can officially put my Philosophy Microdelivery Peel AWAY. This is the best peel I've ever had, and I've had tons. I was fortunate enough last week to get the actual peel at Kinara Spa with Olga last week, and she sent me home with this to use 2x weekly to follow up. I did it on my own for the first time last night and experienced miraculous results. It does burn quite a bit for a few seconds before it's neutralized, just FYI. But I did not mind. It got rid of grime I didn't know I had.

  • Aqua Tan Self Tanning Body Milk

With one application, a believable color developed in about 4 hours. It wasn't so far out there that it was screaming FAKE TAN! I applied it again on the second day to deepen it to see just how dark it would get and find out if it would stay bronze. I was really happy with the results, I'm not used to seeing my skin with a tan. Aqua Tan is approved! Right now, the color is fading away evenly a few days later. It was nice to get a bronze color with just one use that wasn't too far too fast.

  • Essie Nail Polish
    9.0

    Essie Nail Polish

    One of my fave brands!

I've had great luck with Essie polishes for years. I think they hands down have the best collection of sheer and natural shades on the market. I can't recall ever having problems with seeing brush stroke lines or having it chip faster than what's normally expected with a manicure. There are only a few brands that I frequent, and Essie is up there pretty high!

  • White Sands Infinity Finish Spray

I'm really picky over my hairspray. Probably too picky, because I mean, it's just hairspray, right? No! If you take the time to actually style your hair, you want it to stay. I'm a long way from the FREEZE IT! spray I used to use on my bangs circa-- uhh, too long ago. I hope you are too. If not, we will have to talk ASAP. I just want something that's going to offer hold that's not obvious and crunchy. I also like shine to come along with a perfect hold factor that will still allow movement. White Sands has a hairspray called Infinity and believe it or not, I actually liked it. It gave great control that lasted all day and gave me a little bit of a lift too. My fine hair hangs like strings without product, and I was really surprised that it aided in a wavy style and held so long with volume at the root. It doesn't hurt either that it smells like a Starburst candy. I'm on a no-sweets diet right now so unfortunately I didn't get to do any REALLY hard research to find out which flavor it is! Now I'm curious if all of their other products smell as good and perform as well.

  • Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

I'm in the process of testing several of Mario's products out for a review, but I had to jump on here and sing the praises of the Drying Lotion. This has single handedly eliminated blackheads and a few whiteheads that have popped up over the past week. I saw results in one night! For the larger ones, it took 2 nights. I don't mind going to bed looking like I have the chicken pox if it really works! It is a tad drying to the skin, make sure you hydrate!
