  • Aveeno Positively Smooth Moisturizing Lotion

I'm so upset this was discontinued!! I know lots of people have been skeptical about shave minimizing lotions, but this always worked for me! It definitely made the hair on my legs finer and I was able to shave less often and I loved it. I used this one and other brands and they all worked really well for me, so I'm really upset that they've stopped making them.

    EOS Shave Cream

    I love this!

This is my favorite shave cream! I buy the pink one. I forget what the scent is called, but it's fruity without being too strong, which I like. So many of the fruit scented shave creams are way too overbearing and I don't like that. This cream is creamy, but not so thick that you can't see what you're shaving, which I like. Maybe that's why so many people think there isn't much product? Because they put it on too thick? I don't know, I've never had any complaints about how much product I'm getting--because I use about a pump and a half per leg and it lasts just as long as any other shave cream I've ever purchased and I like it a LOT better.

  • Lush Happy Blooming Bath Melt

When I first started buying Lush bath products, I was hesitant about this bath melt because it is described as being cherry scented and I don't really care for cherry scents. But, it has calamine in it, and I get eczema on my legs sometimes, so I finally decided to try it. It's wonderful. The scent is pleasant and not what I would describe as "cherry." It's not quite as pricey as other Lush products, in the long run, because one of these is good for 3 baths--they even make it in a shape that makes it super easy to break into 3 equal sections. It's not really as soothing as they say it will be with the calamine, but it does leave me with wonderfully soft, moisturized skin so I can't complain. I've bought this a couple times and plan to buy again in the future!

  • Lush Rose Jam Bubbleroon

I LOVE this product. It is by far one of my favorite Lush treats (especially when I use it along with a bath bomb). Another reviewer mentioned that it is expensive for one use, so I wanted to note that I always twist the two halves apart and get two baths from one bubbleroon. One half is plenty of product for lots of wonderful bubbles, pretty pink water, gorgeous scent, and amazing moisture from the shea butter they have mixed in. The bubbles are long lasting and I adore the scent. Even for enough product for two baths, Lush products are a bit expensive, so I tend to only buy this when I really want to treat myself to an amazing bath. It's always worth it!!

  • Lush It Started with a Kiss Lip Tint

Lush It Started with a Kiss Lip Tint

Good, if you do it right...

This product smells wonderful. Vanilla, a bit of cinnamon--sweet but without smelling too over the top sugary. The color is nice, though you want to start with just a little and build up if you want it brighter, as it can be easy to accidentally over apply. My biggest problem with this tint is that it has a gritty texture. To prevent it from being gritty when I apply it, I have to gently rub my finger in it until it has warmed enough to smooth out the grit (which I think comes from the sugar they use in it?). I haven't used this in a long time because it just got too annoying. It doesn't have the best staying power and having to warm the product every time before reapply just got old.

  • Lush Luxury Bath Melts

These are a great treat for when I want a super luxurious bath (I combine with a bath bomb and a bubble bar), but not something I use regularly. Depending which one you use (and how big your tub is and/or how much you fill it), I don't find the scent to be as strong as I would like. (Disclaimer: My sense of smell is not very strong, so these may have a strong enough scent for most other people.) They are VERY moisturizing and I adore how soft my skin feels after using one of these. Happy Blooming is nice because for the cost of the one melt, you can break it into pieces and get 3 baths out of it. I don't think it smells that much like cherry (a plus, since I don't love cherry scent), but it is very soothing on dry, irritated skin. I also liked Ceridwen's Cauldron--it has lots of oatmeal, etc. in it, but it comes in a little wrap so you don't have to worry about all these things floating around in the tub (unless you want those--in that case, just take the wrap off). Dream Time is the one I have used most frequently because it is a good, reliable melt for making my bath more enjoyable.

  • Lush Bath Bombs

These are excellent. If you're particular like me, choose carefully. Some of the scents are great, but if it has glitter or anything else that will be left floating in my tub once the bomb has fizzed out, I'm not interested. Sex Bomb is my favorite. I find the Sakura fragrance to be very lovely and relaxing, and Butterball has a wonderful vanilla scent and is very moisturizing.

  • Lush Bubble Bars

    Lush Bubble Bars

    Fun, but...

I love Lush bath products and they have some great scents, but I can't help noticing the bubbles really don't have much staying power. When I take a Lush bath, it's a long one so it would be great if the bubbles could stick around longer. Update: I found this is only true of SOME of their bubble bars. I had terrible luck with French Kiss, but the Comforter and Rose Jam are both amazing with great scent and lots of long-lasting bubbles. I tried Candy Mountain (a seasonal product) and the bubbles were amazing but I hated the scent. Way too sweet (my fault--Candy is part of the name, I should have known, but it was an impulse buy from the "buy one, get one free" sale).

  • Revlon Compact Emery Boards

    Revlon Compact Emery Boards

    Good in a pinch

These are great because they are cheap. If you like to keep a file in every place you might need a file (and let's be honest...that's pretty much every place), these are what you want. Because they are inexpensive. I found that on either side the grit would wear off pretty quickly, plus they are coarse enough (even on the finer side) that you have to be careful to only file in one direction. But, like I said, they cheap so they're great for the purpose of making sure you are never without a file on hand. (No pun intended.)

  • Sephora Collection Crystal Nail File

I was in the mall and realized I had forgotten to pick up a new nail file at the drugstore, but didn't feel like going back. So I popped into Sephora to check out my options. I ended up settling on this file (in purple), but I was very skeptical about how well it would work. I am amazed. It's the best nail file I've ever used and I'm excited that it won't get worn out like the nail files and emery boards I used to use. I keep it in my bathroom drawer so it's less likely to get accidentally broken, but I'm thinking of buying a second to keep in my desk for fixing snagged nails at work. Update: I ended up purchasing two extras of this item--one for my desk drawer and one for "just in case." Which worked out because I accidentally dropped and broke one and I had an extra. I was worried they were on sale at Sephora because they were going to stop making them, but actually they only changed them. They now come in a better case that makes it much more difficult to break one by accident. Worth the money!!
