Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay Beauty

Doing dishes isn't completely terrible anymore

Just like millions of other people, I love my dishwasher. Doing dishes by hand isn't rotten because of the work, it's rotten because it dries my hands out like nothing else can. I am enjoying the sample I receivecd of this Dove Hand Renewal with Olay. I have to say that after two weeks of use my hands have been affected less than with typical dish soap. The pomegranate scent is potent in a good way. This also works better than some of the hand soaps on the market, too. Certianly worth a try!

    Fekkai Salon Color

Better than any other kit and good as a salon

I just colored my hair with 6W (Cindy - Light Golden Brown) and I LOVE the results. I'm 34 and have been coloring my hair for at least 10 years because I started going grey so early. I can honestly say I have used pretty much every brand of the DIY color and various salon only brands. This color covered my greys and left... my hair in amazing condition. It was so soft that my husband couldn't keep from touching it. It was much easier than I thought it would be to use. The smell was much better than almost any other brand I've used. No burning either as some hair kits can do. It's more expensive than any other DIY kits, but it's still much cheaper than a salon and the results are as good as or better. It's been two weeks and my color is still vibrant and my hair is glossy. No peek-through greys either! For me, paying $30.00 is worth the cost. I don't have to color my hair as frequently (because of fading or the color not covering the greys) or use products to compensate for the damage the color did to my hair

  • Maybelline New York Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Washable Mascara

Not sure why this one gets bad reviews. Very, very minor clumping, no flaking, no smudging, no weird chemical or other smells and I really like the volume it gives my lashes. Only reason it didn't get 10 stars is because the waterproof version is actually less so than the regular version.

  • Revlon Beyond Natural Defining Mascara

Maybe I just grabbed an off tube, but this has to be the worst mascara I have ever used. It worked great for the first two or three uses, but then it started clumping like you wouldn't believe. And then yesterday, when I tried using it again (it does give great lashes once you clean up the clumps) the wand came out of the tube MINUS the brush. Needles to say, not impressed.

    Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer

    Great for fair skin

This is a really great bronzer, even if your skin is so fair you are mistaken for Casper the ghost. Since the color is easily buildable and blendable, I don't have any problems getting a flattering hint of color. I also like that this bronzer is not incredibly sparkly on skin. I have tried way too many that are a very flattering color, but there is so much shimmer and sparkle that they are completely unwearable.

  • Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare EZ4U 4-In-1 Facial Treatment: Normal/Oily

I am a big fan of these little facial wipes. First of all, be warned they are NOT effective on eye makeup, but they are not meant for that purpose and the directions actually state to avoid the eye area entirely. As for the rest of your face, they work very well at removing everything and leaving you with soft, clean skin. As they are small (maybe 4" x 4"?), you may need to use two if your makeup application that day was heavier than normal (like for a wedding). I have a T-zone that doesn't like me very much, and I find that these cloths work so well that I don't experience any breakouts or clogged pores resulting in blackheads. I don't get that dry, tight feeling as with some other facial wipes. Best of all, there are no parabens, sulfates, sythetic fragrances or dyes, petro-chemicals, phthalates, or triclosan to irritate my pain in the rear sensitive skin. I keep them with me to use after the gym, on long car trips, or when flying. My husband deployes often as he is active duty military, and he takes a couple boxes of these with him when he goes as he and his crew often aren't where they have access to any running water. The guys can clean off their faces without worrying about facial stinging or burning or any other irritation that could interfere with their jobs. They are also excellent for anyone who may be in the hospital.

  • CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Corrector

CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Corrector

No more telltale signs of sleepless nights

Though I have used yellow-tinted correctors before, this is the first that applies with such ease. It's incredibly creamy and easy to blend. Eyes look refreshed and not overly yellow like you have jaundice - a problem I have had with other correctors. This also doubles a a good eye makeup primer as it leaves lids very smooth and powder stays put. After a full day of activities, I was happy to see that my shadow had not creased, migrated, or completely disappeared. Neither were there any under eye shadows present. Apply with a light hand as this stuff is able to conceal with just half the amount of other products. Works well with a brush too. It's pricier than most, but you get enough to last you for at least a year.

  • CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush

As a big fan of cream blushes, I am always checking out the latest and greatest to hit the market. This cream blush will become a staple of my makeup drawer. It goes on really, really well and unlike many other similar products, allows plenty of time for blending before setting. All the shades are flattering, even with my very fair skin. It comes with a round sponge applicator, but fingers seem to be the best for blending and contouring - leave the sponge for application only. The color stays true through long days and warm weather and doesn't get washed out if you use a translucent powder to set your makeup. The price is a bummer, but I would have to say this is worth the cost.

  • CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation

I finally broke down and tried this. I was pleased at how well it went on, but it took a few tries to figure out the right amount as this foundation really meets the definition of "a little goes a long way". In this case, surprisingly little. It blends and covers well, but I found that I need to wait a minute or so before applying powder of any sort (like blush) as if not given time to dry/set/cure, this foundation absorbs the powder which makes it look a bit cakey and fake. I didn't have any issues with breakouts, which is a big plus, and my shine prone areas took a lot longer to become really noticeable. My biggest complaint is the colors. I can't put my finger on it, but it's almost as if there is a tad too much yellow in the formula. People with fair skin and pinkish undertones should be careful with this product.
