  • Jergens Natural Glow Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer

I never tan, so my legs are really really pale. I tried this in the lightest shade, but even after one application the color change was extremely noticeable. It did cover well and the smell was okay, but as for buildable coverage I didn't really get that. I thought I would be able to give my legs just a hint of color, but the result of my very light application (I was scared so I went sparingly) gave results way too dark. I really wish the color had been buildable so I could have gotten a more believable color. Mixing it with lotion only ended up with weird streaks, so this is another self-tanner not for me!

  • Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Moisturizing Shampoo

Ugh is all I have to say about this shampoo. I got this and the conditioner, and both left my hair in worse condition than before I started using it. Whatever they use, all you get is scent but little else. I ended up using mine for shaving my legs. Not worth the hype or the price.

  • Aveda Inner Light Mineral Tinted Moisture SPF 15

I recently picked this up in their lightest shade available as others always seem to come out too dark or cause my skin to break out. Not so with Aveda. I like the clean feeling it gives when it goes on and the slight herbal scent. The coverage is light to medium so I never feel like I am wearing anything, and so far, it has done a pretty good job of controlling any shine that pops up later in the afternoon. Best of all, it doesn't make me look like I am wearing foundation! It doesn't wear off/transfer to shirt during the day and it comes off easily at night. One of the few products that work with my very fair skin tone and it's from a brand I already love. What could be better.

  • Shiseido Benefiance Concentrated Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream

This is one of the best eye creams I have ever used. Yes, it goes on thick and greasy, but if you put it on at night and try not to constantly rub it in, it really hydrates the eye area by the morning and all that's left is soft skin, almost invisible dark circles, and slim to none eye lines. For me, I have lost my dark circles and fine lines and no other eye cream has done as much in as little time as I have used this. The price is up there, but I swear the container lasts forever since just a little bit goes a very long way (this also helps cut down on the heavy/greasy feeling). I am about at the end of my sample and it has lasted me well over two months. I had thought that I would run through it quickly and have to crack into the full size, but not so. As a thritysomething looking for a good eye cream for anti-aging and improvement, this is my HG eye product.

  • Prescriptives Lash Builder Mascara Basecoat

I really did not like this product. Maybe the tube I got was old(er) or something, but the clumps this stuff left on my lashes turned me off right away. I received a free sample from the rep but ended up throwing it out. After I picked the clumps out of my lashes, it did as promised, but the time and effort put into it was not worth it. I plan to purchase a full tube to see if it was just a wonky sample as I keep hearing such good reviews about this product. We shall see...

  • Organix Hydrating Teatree Mint Conditioner

This is a great product to have in your shower first thing in the morning. The smell will perk you up in no time. I have fine hair, and this never weighs it down or leaves a residue that makes my hair oily or dirty feeling by the end of the day. I also am a big fan of the Shea shampoo and conditioner that aren't listed on this site yet. Those have a brown sugar and vanilla smell and work wonders when my hair is feeling dry. Again, those clean and hydrate without weighing my hair down or making it feel funky. A bit pricey for the size, but they work well.

  • Essie The Corrector Pen
    10.0

    Essie The Corrector Pen

    Lasts a looooooong time

I have had my pen for several years now. My hubby found a way to pop the back off to add more remover and I just keep purchasing replacement tips. The original pen, however, worked wonders. Whenever I paint my toes my husband tells me it looks like I used a paint roller (I have to admit sometimes it does!) but this little wonder took care of it easily. The tip doesn't dry out quickly like other brands, and the tips have a great chisel point to get into the teeniest areas. Buy two pens - one for light, one for dark polish, or else wipe the tip with a cotton pad with remover on it to keep the tip clean and no worries about getting darker polish on lighter and vice versa

  • E.L.F. Plumping Lip Glaze

I had to try this after reading reviews. I was curious to see if this really did plump my lips or was just a cinnamon-y gloss. A bit of a bummer, this fell (for me) into the latter category. The color end was wonderful, no complaints about that. The plumper just fell flat. Not even a lip tingle. I ended up putting it on over the lipstick for a gloss and it worked in the capacity. If you are expecting beautiful bee stung lips, you might be disappointed, but then again, this is just a dollar. The lipstick side alone is well worth it.

  • E.L.F. Candy Shop Lip Tins

    E.L.F. Candy Shop Lip Tins

    Shine with a kick

I keep getting this as a free gift when I shop online, and have gotten the Mocha Maniac, Melon Mayhem and Candy Fix. The Mocha Mayhem is a bit TOO much like coffee for me. I swear it was like eating a coffee bean. The other two were better. The flavors weren't as literal and gave a bit of pink tint to my lips. Warning - the Mocha Mayhem is brown in the package and gives the same color to your lips. The rest of the glosses are more flattering. These would make super stocking stuffers for adults and kids. You can get them in a big fishbowl container as well - a cute idea for a shower.

  • E.L.F. Hypershine Gloss
    9.0

    E.L.F. Hypershine Gloss

    Nifty gloss for a buck

I got this one in the cherry color, and it gives my lips just enough color and shine to go with a natural look or for a more toned down look for places like work. It had a slight cherry/berry taste too it, as well as a fruit smell. I had to twist it for what seem like forever before the product dame out the tip. The tip is felt-ish with the little holes that let the gloss come through. The cap stayed on in my purse (a big plus) and even after all the initial twisting the tube comes with a good amount of product. If you have a daughter or niece just starting to get into makeup, this would make an excellent start as the colors are all very "safe" - this is the second to darkest color and is no darker than what your lips would look like if you drank cherry Kool-Aid. This is a fun, cute, enjoyable gloss - everything it should be for the price.
