Just bought this to try and tone down my redness and cover the occasional spot. I apply it to the back of my hand and use a small concealer brush to apply and then pat it lightly with my finger to blend. Concealers are problematic for my weirdly olive/copper skintone and I thought that the "change-to-match-my-skintone" option would be perfect. But it actually comes out of the tube as white, which kind of freaked me out a bit. It blended in well, but I'm not sure if it actually changed color or simply absorbed into my skin. My blemishes appeared a bit more subtle, but were still slightly visible. Just not sure about this product yet. Perhaps it's better for those with fair skin. UPDATE: At the end of the tube, which lasted me a long time, it started separating terribly and got these awful black oil lines in it and I had to throw it out. So when you're putting it on, be sure to check the consistency and purity of it to make sure it hasn't changed or gone bad.

Just bought this in the Deep shade on sale at Target. First experience and I'm only slightly impressed. I think you have to really shake it to mix it before squeezing it out of the tube, as when I first squeezed it out, it seemed separated (oil/product) and had that weird "black" oil line running through it. It appeared to be better mixed once I shook it. This stuff felt.....thick. I was expecting something light and airy - a not-make-up consistency, but was surprised at how creamy it seemed. Not appealing to me, since I only got it to even out my skin in this awful heat and humidity. It did even out my skin tone somewhat, but a bit of redness underneath was still visible, so I had to use a concealer over it. Anyway, it lasted about two hours before I noticed my spots and red splotches return. I'll use up the rest of it, but I won't buy it again. Bonus: it has an SPF 30, so that's pretty respectable.

I wanted to try this after a writer in Allure magazine said she used it and was asked if she was wearing false lashes. It definitely adds length and the color is nice & dark. The application is smooth, clump-free ~ the product glides on. But you do have to be careful when appyling, because the wand is SO long and rather flimsy...if you've had too much morning coffee, you could end up with smudges! I've also actually broken/bent the wand, in a hurry to get it back into the container and once it's bent, it's ruined. I do love this product for the money ~ it's great for lengthening and brings awesome definition to my lashes ~ but it's definitely NOT a mega-glam, hi-def, super-lash mascara. It's a thinner formula that will lengthen lashes and darken them, but that's about it. So I do give this a high rating and I use this regularly, alone or over a thickening mascara to add definition and a bit of length. For my thin, sparse lashes, every bit helps. Your mileage may vary.

I'd been feeling soooo guilty for doing some tanning this summer and decided to stop after my face had some color. I found this powder for super cheap and decided to buy it and forgo my helio-therapy. I don't normally use bronzer b/c of my already olive complexion. I used the Medium Bronze shade and applied it in natural light. It left a warm, bronze color with only the slightest hint of some gold sparkle. The formula seems very dry and does feel a bit grainy, but for the price, it does offer some color. Doesn't last long. The price was right - cheap! -and so I didn't feel I was ripped off in any way. I probably won't buy again but will keep this for a bit of color in a hurry.

I've been using this as a new replacement to my old stand-by, Neutrogena Anti-Wrinkle Cream. Newly 41, I thought it would be a good idea to bump up the strength of my retinol formula. I love that this has an SPF 30. It's a bit smelly, like chemicals, but I got used to it eventually. Initally, this product was extremely irritating to my skin - stinging, peeling and flaking occured for about three weeks of daily use. But there is a product warning on the label that this may occur. I kept with it and my skin adjusted. (I also have rosacea and hormonal acne, jsyk.) Very happy with the results - noticeably smoother and taut-looking yet soft skin that also has sun protection. My new daily moisturizer!

Bought this with the conditioner after using the Keratin Smooth Protectant Spray and getting such good results. This shampoo smells great and, when used wtih the conditioner, leaves my thin, broken hair smooth and incredibly soft and shiny. I love this line of products and highly recommend. Oh - and for those suds-lovers, this is a LOWER SULFATE formula, so don't expect a ton of bubbles, but more like a light foam. And be sure to use the conditioner with this - it's the conditioner that is the real star here!

My very first lipsticks by Rimmel and I was impressed by both the gorgeous color selection and the amazing price. I bought Airy Fairy and Paradise after hearing raves about them on youtube. Airy Fairy is a bit too pink/cool for my olive/copper skin tone and definitely highlighted any chapping and flaky skin on my lips but Paradise is beautiful - a soft mauve that goes on and has a lovely buttery shine to it without too much shimmer and felt smooth, moisturinzing and comfortable. The fragrance is nice but a bit strong. There is a slightly flowery taste, as well. Beautiful colors, very happy. Glad I finally tried this brand!

I use this religiously. It's soothing, cooling and totally eliminates the flushy red patches that rosacea has cursed me with. I wrote a stellar review about the loose powder and I carry the pressed powder with me everywhere. The compact is expensive, beautifully made and mirrored on both the front and inside for easy application. The pretty, clear-handled brush that comes with it is flat and wide and offers excellent coverage in one sweep. It's lasted me a looooong time, so it's worth the money for the extra convenience of having this in compact form. I never leave home without this!

Clinique Redness Solutions Instant Relief Mineral Powder
BLEND, BLEND, BLEND.....And It Works Beautifully!
Just be sure to use a different brush to apply. The one included with the product is no good. I first tried this powder in Sephora and was looking in the mirrorr, amazed at how the red patches on both cheeks almost instantly disappeared. I bought it after trying it out several times with the same awesome result and am very, very happy. I have rosacea on both cheeks and some redness around my nose. I always put on sunscreen/moisturizer and the Clinique Powder followed by Bare Minerals. The powder feels silky and is milled super-fine ~ be careful during application so it doesn't go flying everywhere. (I once went out with a black top and yellow powder all over my chest, unbeknownst to me!) This product definitely works for me ~ it's soothing, calming and feels cool on my flushy, red patches. BE SURE TO BLEND so you don't get a coating of yellowish powder sitting on top of your skin. I blend and have no problems ~ and I have a deeper olive complexion. In fact, when I'm in a hurry, I sweep this on and am out the door, knowing my skin is more even in appearance and natural-looking. Great product to invest in for those with rosacea or reactive redness. It IS pricey, but it's lasting me a long time and makes my skin look great and me feel so much better about my appearance, that it's worth it. Love it and will continue to use it.

I actually used the St. Ives Green Tea Blemish Control Facial Scrub, but it isn't listed here. It claims to be soothing and calming to sensitive skin while clearing up acne blemishes. I'm cursed with both hormonal acne as well as mild rosacea, so I wanted something to effectively get rid of my zits but that was also not going to exacerbate my redness. I used this three times and had to stop. My skin was dry, peeling and flaking and my rosacea only flared up more. My skin actually hurt. Whatever formulation this is, it doesn't work. Do not use this if you have the least bit of sensitivity!
