  • John Frieda Frizz-Ease Daily Nourishment Leave‑In Conditioning Spray

I found this spray to be fairly useless. It doesn't seem to make hair considerb;y smoother, softer or shinier. I've tried it many times hoping I'm just missing something and I see no visible difference from days I did not use this. I'm generally pleased by John Frieda's products but this may be the weak link.

  • L'Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup

I really loved the look of this foundation, it instantly brightened my skin and gave it a glow. My skin had that look like I had been drinking gallons of water all day without the oily consequences. A friend even commented on how great my skin looked. My only issue with it is that the coverage is not great. But with a good setting powder or concealer it is not really an issue.

  • John Frieda Frizz-Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse

I have naturally curly/wavy ends that when left to air dry can tread on the frizzy side. I use this sometimes as a pre-blowdrying mousse for more polished curls or I'll apply this to hair and allow hair to airdry for a wavy curls. This mousse smells nice and doesnt leave hair feeling heavy or wet like others.

  • John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme

A friend in college intoduced me to this and I have been singing its praises ever since. Nothing else compares in terms of taming fly-aways and sealing ends. What's great about it too is that you need literally a dime sized amount for it to work so one bottle will last you beyond a year. I use it to tame fly aways at the root and for stick straight hair, it keeps the ends in check. This stuff is great and so reasonably priced.

  • L'Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray

Short and sweet, this hairspray is the holy grail of hairsprays, Strong Hold, fantastic smoothing, no straw strands and one canister will last you quite some time. You are missing out if you haven't tried it.

    Almay Smart Shade Makeup

Not Much Coverage But Light Feel and Nice Color

This is a great forumla for those wanting lighter coverage. It's color really does adjust for you to give you a more even-toned look but in terms of concealing blemishes, dark spots and imperfections it is too sheer. To me it has the coverage, texture and feel of a tinted moisturizer. It is not too oily which is nice and works well with combination skin as it is not drying either. This is a good product but because of its lack of coverage I probably won't buy it again.

    Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure

    Best of Drugstore Nail Color

First off it does exactly what it says it does. Base, color and topcoat all in one bottle and the colors last longer than many essie and opi shades I've used. What I like most about this collection though is their color selection. The pinks and peaches are especially pretty. My favorite color from the line though is "Mermaid's Tail". Okay so the name is what first got me but it is the greatest glitter polish I've used. Its has dark blue, turqoise, pale blue, and green flecks of large glitter in it that look like fish scales. It is beautiful. With a good tan, its a great, unexpected summer color.

  • Proactiv Refining Mask

    Proactiv Refining Mask

    The Best Proactiv Product

I'm going to be honest, I think most of the proactiv line works terribly and its commercial success is only due to good marketing strategies and the fact that so many people try proactiv for a few months on their quest to good skin before they realize its a gimmick. This mask they sent as a bonus to their acne line and frankly its the best product they have. It really does lift dirt and oil from your pores and is especially good with blackheads. I used it before self tanning and my skin never looked better. I suggest trying this out if you havent been too jaded from proactiv.

  • Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder

    Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder

    Good for Lighter Coverage

On days when I'm not going all out with powder I use this. First, its significantly cheaper than the photoready pressed powder and is the exact same size. Second, it feels very lightweight and on days my skin is behaving or I'm going somewhere where heavy foundation would be uncomfortable (say hiking or the beach) I like to use this. It is more sheer than other powders and I don't suggest it if you are looking for a very matte look or for more coverage. But its a nice, cheap, refreshing alternative to heavier powders. There could be more color options though.

  • E.L.F. Powder Brush

    E.L.F. Powder Brush

An Awesome Brush for A Great Price

I was hesitant to buy this because the elf brushes have been hit or miss with me but this one is remarkable! The bristles are firm yet soft so they pick up color well and deposit it smoothly without that harsh, scratching you get with other brushes. And unlike the similar model from Sonia Kashuk, I have experienced ZERO shedding from this brush. I have yet to wash it so that may effect shedding but as of right now I havent seen one loose bristle. I use it primarily for bronzers because it's especially good at applying products you don't want to go overboard with. I use it also for blushes and highlighting powders. If elf made all their brushes like this one, I'd never buy another pricey mac or smashbox brush again. I'm going to buy another on my next trip to target, they are simply that good.
