This mascara smells weird. I don't know what it exacty smells like, but something acidic. The brush is soft, and it makes my lashes look thicker. However, I can feel that I am wearing this mascara and my lashes feel heavier. Removing this mascara is not an easy task. I used my regular eye makeup remover twice and rinsed it, but when I dried my face, I still saw black ink on towel.

This soap was included in Origin's Ginger Top To Toe gift set. When I unwrapped it, it released an incredible scent, which was exotic, spicy and citrusy. It was not particularly too moisturizing. I guess the scent must be the most attractive feature of this product. Even though, indeed, this soap is big, I would not pay $12 for a bar of soap.

It made my lips extra shiny, but did not add much color to my lips. Thus, I feel that this gloss was more like clear gloss topcoat. Although it was a bit sticky, if all you want is a wet look, this gloss may be good enough.

Aveda Hang Straight did not work at all for my husband's stubborn hair, and when he went back to an Aveda store for something else, he found out that Hang Straight has been discontinued. A sales associate recommended him this Defining Whip, and we liked the demonstration. It helps his front hair to stay straight. It works like wax but without a greasy feeling or a stinky scent. I just wish it was a bit more affordable or the tub was bigger.

The first thing I noticed was the texture. It was creamy, but certainly not very thick. Therefore, I had to use a little more than my usual thick/intensive conditioner. The scent was nice, not perfume-y. My hair smelled nice and felt softer afterward, but there are a few conditioner which can make even softer, silkier and smoother. Overall this conditioner may be adequate for normal hair, but for my color treated/damaged hair this conditioner is not nourishing/moisturizing enough.

This Aveeno shampoo lathers and cleanses well, but not too moisturizing. I think that it is gentle enough for me to use it daily. Nevertheless, even with this shampoo, my frizzy dry hair still needs a conditioner (but I always use a conditioner anyway). I was a bit anxious about their scent because I did not like fragrance of some of the Aveeno facial products. But the shampoo's scent is clean and calming, and it is not very strong, which is good for me.

I simply love the scent of Truth for Men. My husband used to wear this one. It is not overly masculine but still sexy, and has a good balance of woody and musky smell. I am not a big earthy scent fan, but this one is clean and fresh. Unfortunately, he wears other colognes since he cannot find it easily anymore at a regular dept store. I keep the bottle just in case, and the empty bottle still smells great!

My friend was using this as a dry shampoo while we were camping. I borrowed it and I did not like it at all. It was like using baby powder in my hair. The smell was actually pleasant, but each time I touched or stroked my hair, I could see some color on my fingers.

I believe that this mascara primer is the one of them, which started this trend. As soon as it became available in the US, I bought it. It helped to lengthen my lashes but also helped my mascara to hold longer. Ever since then, many more similar products have been introduced. I still like this Shiseido one, but I find that Clinique Lash Building Primer does a pretty good job with less money.

I fell in love with L'Occitane's shea butter collection because of this kit. The pure shea butter in the tin is the BEST. I use it for my hands, lips, feet etc. I cannot live without it. The hand cream is great too. The soap is good, but the regular size of the soap is just too expensive for me to use it daily. Ever since I received this, I have purchased some of their regular size products. If you are curious about L'Occitane shea butter series, try this one!
